Great to see your reaction. I'm a Dutch person and I can tell you: almost every Dutch people knows this skecth. It's so much fun to see someone watching it for the first time😅😅
Andre van Duin is one of the best and sweetest famous people in the Netherlands. I am 51 now, but I have always known him from television. The man who plays the role teacher was his coworker for many years. Frans van Dusschoten. Andre had lost his partner and got cancer after that, but he is still going on making tv programs in another way than when he was younger. I wish him to get very old, still acting also more serious now and be a host of programs. He is a great singer too, beautiful voice. There is so much to discover about Andre.
The words: and then there is coffee refers to a very popular text in commercials for the brand Douwe Egberts coffee. In the commercials there was a situation with people getting together for work or a family visit. And then came the ‘big’ moment with a voice over saying: and then there is coffee. Douwe Egberts coffee, tasty coffee. This campaign existed for decades. The campaign does not exist anymore but the brand is still one of the biggest in The Netherlands.
This was in 1977 till 1985 and it was fun to watch I was very young and we had only NLD 1 NLD 2 and. NLD 3 was so much fun we loved it Lots of love from Amsterdam ❤❤
Thanks Peter Jansen! Me and Emma worked hard on it as not everything can be translated from Dutch to English and we have to think of something else instead. 😎 Suzette
Wonderful! I never forget his "seop, seop, seop!" for "poes, poes, poes". How can you think of such nonsense. And after all these years it is still hilarious. Thank you!!!
Nr 1 comedian in holland over 50 years, andre van duin is huge fan of stan laurel and oliver hardy, when you study his body language and face expressions you can recognize many of laurel, for example:scratching his head..by the way i grow up with andre (im 50 years old)..love his shows and tv productions,in the 80s we had animal crackers on dutch television, very funny 😂😂..i like to see youre truly reactions on andre van duin and also with the "beste zangers van nederland" shows (espessialy floor jansen)..greetings from the netherlands and keep on enjoying our wunderful singers and crazy comedians..🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
Andre van Duin should actually be a world famous artist. Joop van den Ende already said that years ago. And I agree with him. Frans van Dusschoten and Joop van den Ende started the revue years ago in the Netherlands, and they asked Andre to join. 26 years together on stage with hilarious TV moments. Unforgettable moments with Andre and Frans on tv. The wedding hall was hilarious at the moment that Andre, after the cry, started to make up all sorts of things, and that Frans got the giggles on stage, and that he almost forgot his lines. We laughed tears. Once again they were unforgettable TV moments!
I was kinda like this in school. Afterwards also in the school for the army, was not appreciated by the teachers and army people. I quit after 3 months. (< All before i turned 16) Then I grew up and 3 years later they found out that I am autistic as fuck 🤣
Awesome. Absolutely LOVE van Duin. Also, requested the sketch "Dentist" performed by Michael McIntyre, filled out the form, but I'm sorry that I can't pay for the request. I hope you'll get to it eventually anyway. It's awesomely funny, and take my word for it, when it comes to the dentist nothing is funny to me. But this one is.
I used to love watching him when I was younger. Saw him on Wednesday on kings day in Amsterdam he happened to be standing next to me. My friend pointed it out I didn't recognize him, he hasn't changed his look just a lot older.
André v Duin, one of the best comedians The Netherlands had (he's still alive).. Occasionally going off script which also made his co players laugh their asses off.. "stroper in het cafe" is on my channel, don't know if someone has one with subtitles. You def should check some more stuff of Andre out when your jaws stop hurting 😂
They should Translate Andre Van Duin - De Padvinders or Andre Van Duin - Grap Uithalen for you. It's a real try not to laugh challenge with loads of Visual comedy. Also Andre Van Duin - De Schaapsherder is a real LMFAO. Have fun!
To be honest, I think André van Duin could have these professionally translated and released. These videos are evidence that the humor translates even into English. I mean, he wouldn't have to do it for the potential earnings, but just for people's enjoyment.
In those days they were experimenting with 'new spelling'. So 'contactlens' could also be spelled as 'kontaktlens'. And instead of 'bureau' you could write 'buro'. Cadeau as kado, etc. But that's all gone again so now it's contantlens, bureau and cadeau again. Dutch is constantly changing.
Its sad that Andre wasn't born in America or England, if English he would be known worldwide. However his humor is very Dutch, and he has lived/performed in the best years. But the man is so unique and has so much talent. He can do anything. He can even do nothing and everyone laughs. Rowan Atkinson is great, but Andre van Duin is so much better. Just because Andre can do anything : theater,, movie, acting, singing, hosting, presenting television, voice overs, making tv (animal crackers) , making radio (dik Voormekaar show) There were times that when some tv shows didn't do well, they asked him to come for like 5 minutes doing crazy, the show immediately became famous again and people kept watching for weeks
If Andre had been American, he would have been bigger than the likes of Robin Williams. There's an infamous sketch involving two balconies and a Dutch comedienne, Gory Van Gorp. Andre got it into his head to start improvising. By the end of the sketch, Gory Van Gorp was on hands and knees on one of the balconies crying with laughter. edited: it was a sketch involving a window, not a balcony.
My top famous dutch ppl; andre van duin and harrie jekkers.. they are in my life as long as i can remember. Im 33 now. Love them, and they always bring a smile to my face
what I think is cool about him, is that he plays an imaginary, impossble, character and then makes fun of himself (there are a few others), that's what really makes it funny. I remember a time the only time it was acceptable to mke fun of other (public figures) was on new years eve (oudjaar)
This one is also a great one of Andre van Duin ruclips.net/video/igJ14qFV20E/видео.html , interview with the animal keeper of the zoo. They all deserved to be translated into English. Brilliant.
Subtitled honestly should be - the neighbor lost her cat. So she opened the door and shouted: Puss, puss, puss, puss, puss, puss, puss... (pussy instead of cat). She says "poes" in Dutch which is more lovable term of "kat"= "cat".
@@suzettebakelaar lol Only if "pussy"used repeatedly. Puss is like "puss in boots". A word Anglo-speakers know and as close as you can get to original Dutch word as a bonus.

thumbs up for the translator, he or she did a terrific job, knowing translating dutch humor into english/american aint easy...
Thanks Mark for the compliment. It's indeed difficult to keep the same humor. My next project will be the verkeersquiz.

Zeker
Klopt iedereen heeft deze gezien 🔥🔥
Ik kon hem even niet herinneren, tot Frans het over de opstel van 50 woorden had! Whaha, vergeten klassiekertje!
Hij blijft leuk...
I don’t think that’s true. The average person under 30 probably has no idea what this is or even who Andre van Duin is.
One of his best sketches ever ! We in Belgium love him to ❤

How many Dutch people started to say: 'Poes poes poes poes poes' when seeing this thumbnail? I did! 😄

I never really liked Andre van Duin, but somehow you react to sketches from him that I didn't know yet and are actually funny.
This video is so old that flevoland didn't even exist on the map behind André 🤣🤣🤣
well.. the sketch is from 1974, and flevoland was made between 1957 and 1968, so i guess it was made to represent a time from andre's childhood
I also really recommend Bert Visscher's comedy sketch "Imker", or "Beekeeper". It's one of the funniest sketches ever xD
