To glue all other parts perhaps Daniel use water before to put the glue the ribs to plate. Perhaps water sucks the glue ? This series of videos is excellent, excellent thank you Daniel. Only thing is I will bet Daniel is to fullfil the promises for making other videos.
Hi Daniel...Very interesting Vid...can we just change the top plate other than repairing the one with crack....varnish the new one with the same color then close it?
Hello Daniel, you didn't describe how to glue the rest of the top plate onto the sides. Is there another video that demonstrates how to do it, or could you briefly explain here? Thank you very much for creating this series of videos; they are very informative and useful.
How long is the drying time? My student's violin came unglued on the top upper rib, sound post slip. The repair shop told her 1month to fix @ a cost of 8,000 baht (Thailand)?.....sounds too long and too much...what do you think Daniel?
We narmally don't want to get into other people's business. BUT, the dry time is 24 hours, and costs, depends... write to us: danielviolins@hotmail.com

yes you can, if it is a cheap violin
the sides are glued from the outside using hide glue and a thin heated metal blade
