    One idea I have for you lambo is a pepega tuesday format where you go through a few viewer submitted replays of the same build (for example the build in this video) and you can give feedback on the different mistakes people make. This would give you an opportunity to explain the impact of their mistakes and what are the highest priority fixes to focus on improving. With all the viewers focusing on the same build, you can benchmark them against each other and show how big of an impact the lower league mistakes compare to the higher mmr viewers' executions

    I've been playing the 5 roach build from free mmr friday for a while, whenever i wanted some initiative in zvt. It's great to get some more options because that build could feel kinda all-in. I'd love to see something similar for ZvZ and ZvP, low commitment non-standard openers which can give me some initative. This is the sc2 content ive been waiting for!

    As usual your videos are so high quality with so much information I'm reaching for a notebook to keep up and learn everything. Will definately have to watch this several times, to pick up all the details. Would love for some of the build, maybe like the standard progress of the build to be accessible in an easy to read- format, then again I can always watch it again with my notebook xD
    Thanks for a great vid!

    Great to have your content back. I would like to have some similar ways of disrupting Protosses in the ZvP match-up. One of the free MMR ZvP builds I used in the past was the hatch tech queen walk, which doesn't work anymore due to the inability to transfuse off creep. But even small disruption to the protoss in the ZvP match-up, like you do here is already enough for me, as I can play the mid game but the longer ZvPs last the more frustrating they become, and having a little edge from the start is already great to have in (I do it in ZvT, and many times in ZvZ, as they don't expect a pool first build in ZvT, or a 17-17-17 in ZvZ, but lack something similar for ZvP).

    finde es geil, wie detailliert du den Build beschreibst, aber was erwarte ich auch. Etwas klaut es schon den Vibe, dieses spontane "dronen" oder "lings" (bin halt auch nur dia3), allerdings ist das Timing auch verdammt früh. Bin gerne mal etwas vor der terranischen Defense in der Natural, macht ja auch Sinn zwecks Damage und Scouting und es ist zudem Macro, was die Planungssicherheit vergößert. Wird direkt geübt ;)

    the funny thing is about lower level terrans just yolo-ing in their SCV: I tried the build a few times now and lower-level terrans (~3.8k MMR) walk into your base at the 1 minute mark or something. All that theory about stopping the scout goes out the window. Great build though, fun to play!

    • @LamboSC2
      @LamboSC2  Год назад +1

      haha i didn't consider that.
      The thing is that if somebody scouts that early they won't know if its a roach build or a normal lingspeed build anyways then, so there's a good chance they'll just overreact and you'll be far ahead!

    I think this type of 17gas 17pool build is ideal when facing against random. Catches cheese, and doesn't put you that much back if they macro opener, and possibly gives you an opportunity to reactively all-in if you smell blood in the water.

  • @inventingabetteryou9210
    @inventingabetteryou9210 Год назад

    Nice build Lambo, i think this should be called solid macro safe build, not so much "aggressive build" since there is no plan of attacking the enemy early on to do significant damage or win, making 4-10 lings in first 4-5 min or gameplay is very standard, and so is the ling harass at the oponent natural based on the reaper position. What i would call aggressive is ur 8 roach 1 rav oxide build.

    • @LamboSC2
      @LamboSC2  Год назад +2

      Well, it is not common to harass this early on with zerglings. This is the only build with intention to inflict damage with lings on a high level, so there definitely is an agressive aspect to it.
      It is less commited than the 9 roach opener for sure though.
      I straight up won games against top players with the lingspeed attack aswell so damage is not uncommon :)
      If you want to take the agression further, u can make the 2 drones after the 22 overlord into extra lings and one more pair after to make it 14 lings and try to catch the first two hellions with them.

  • @DaveVinylMusic
    @DaveVinylMusic Год назад

    Hi Lambo, thanks for the build order guide. Do you think this BO would also be applicable in ZvP? Especially at Diamond/Low Master level there are still many cannon rushers, that would be the ideal counter to it, wouldn't it?

    • @LamboSC2
      @LamboSC2  Год назад +1

      If you struggle with cannonrushes i think this is a very good built to do yes. Chance for an overreaction from protoss and not the worst start if nothing happens. Against toss i would recommend only making 2 lings however :)

  • @damedley75
    @damedley75 Год назад

    I'm gold/plat Zerg on NA. I've done a 17/17/17 Gas/Pool/Hatch Ling Speed build in ZvZ for a while and it's been super effective, especially when I roll Zerg with Random. Something I don't understand is why not build Gas at 14 and put 2 in the gas some or all of the time. This reduces the impact of the inefficient 3rd gas worker. Or you could get 100 gas faster at the (temporary) expense of some minerals.
    I started by stating my league because I know Lambo and many other players out there in the comments are more knowledgeable and much faster than me. I'm just trying to understand.

    • @LamboSC2
      @LamboSC2  Год назад +2

      Because you lose the extra mineral income too early, which slows down further timings like the extra drones, pool and hatchery. Feel free to test it yourself and compare it with my build to see if you can get a more efficient opener up to 2 minutes into the game :)

    • @damedley75
      @damedley75 Год назад

       @LamboSC2 What I'm seeing is you can start Speed right when the Pool finishes at 1.36 if you 14 gas and put 2 workers in it. But then you have to delay your queen for a few seconds.

    • @LamboSC2
      @LamboSC2  Год назад +1

      @@damedley75 Did you check the actual mineral counts, things like starting the 3rd hatch right away, and having all the drones spawn at the exact time is much more valuable than slightly earlier speed!

    • @damedley75
      @damedley75 Год назад

      @@LamboSC2 I'm slowly working that out. I totally get that there are things more important than fast Speed. I'm not claiming to have THE ANSWER that all Zerg pros have somehow missed haha. Just trying to understand myself.

    How does this fare against protoss?

    • @LamboSC2
      @LamboSC2  Год назад +1

      on high level (above 5k) i would say this is pretty bad against protoss, but i believe for anything below that it can be pretty good cause it's safe vs everything and can confuse the opponent. It will give you leads by protosses overreacting, but if a toss knows to just block your natural go stargate and ignore the gas he will be ahead.

    • @azagogh
      @azagogh Год назад

      @@LamboSC2 ty! they do tend to block the nat sometimes, but it's ok by me because it just feels so good taking gas first after going hatch pool gas forever. like a zerg forbidden pleasure. also they are not as keen on adept harass, which I tend to handle like a complete idiot, so that's good.
