I do own a Ōura smart ring. I’m very happy with it. I bought it specifically to record my sleep overnight.I like you don’t like wereing my watch to bed so my Ōura ring seamlessly tracks my sleep. I have a lifetime membership with them so I don’t pay for a subscription that is a real plus. My main gripe is that is each device seems to want you to use it specifically for recording certain metrics. For instance the activity on the Ōura ring app only can be recorded by the ring. So you have to ware it while you workout. Same with the Apple Watch in order to record your the new vitals metrics you have to ware the watch to bed every night. That’s why if apple came out with their own smart ring ALL your metrics would seamlessly work together. Right now I’m at the mercy of these two companies sharing their metrics with each other.

Answer: I’m buying neither. Apple’s doesn’t exist and Samsung doesn’t support blood pressure monitoring, plus Samsung has a buggy algorithm for tracking deep sleep. I have three Samsung watches and none of them could track deep sleep for longer than 30 minutes per night when my other devices say i get the typical 90 minutes worth.
