Watching this 3 yrs later I honestly am cringing at how I handled this with no gloves. It’s a testament to the importance of environment that I wiped and polished this a few weeks ago and saw no degeneration or rust. I live in a relative desert climate with low humidity.
@@dfchang813 Oh In the Saber community, Anakin’s Episode III hilt is known as a Skinnyflex… The Graflex from Episode IV, V, and VIII were thicker than the Episode III model, as the III model isn’t a Graflex at all, but instead is a prop made to be similar to the original Graflex prop. It is the continuity’s way of explaining what Obi Wan did to Anakin’s hilt while on Tattooine to make it appear so different than when we see it picked up on the lava bank of Mustafar… So when I say Darth Vader had a skinnyflex, it looks similar to Anakin’s Skinnyflex saber, since Vader didn’t even use his Saber in Episode III. It lacks the MPP Clamp and looks totally different.
Sorry man but these are long sold out. You can only get them off secondary market. eBay, Master Replica Facebook group, and rebelscum.com or therpf.com forums are your best bet.

@@dfchang813 True.. Vader's Return of the Jedi Saber was very small.. I had noticed, along time ago, almost like it was made for one hand dueling, his saber from Empire Strikes Back is Cool Too,but Revenge Of The Sith version is the Sexiest version of Vader's Saber by far
@@SuperSith_Champ It’s not as iconic but I have to admit the design is tied with Return of the Jedi for my favorite design. Maybe even a little more. It’s a beautiful lightsaber. I’ve always been a little bummed that they never released a Signature version with Hayden Christiansen. But Prequel trilogy was simply not as popular as the classic OT …
Empire Strikes Back but I think I said RotS is my favorite of the original prequel trilogy. But my favorite Star Wars is by dad the OT and Empire is one of my favorite movies of all time.
@@michaelmyers2327 lol. I don’t know I need to listen to what I said. I forgot. 😂😂. In general I didn’t like any of the prequels but I thought RotS maybe was best of the worst. I loathed Last Jedi though.

I swear all these years I thought Vader’s hilt design stayed the same as ESB/ROTJ lol… this is so cool yet so unusual to see
To bad they never showed this in the movie
Master Replicas is still around as far as I am aware, they just lost the Star Wars license.
By far my favorite darth vader lightsaber
Lovely piece!!! Have you experienced any stickiness or tackiness in your grips in the recent years?
It can get sticky but I’ve personally not experienced it. But I hardly ever touch it. lol.
So… Darth Vader had a Skinnyflex too?
Not sure what you mean by Skinnyflex? 😅

@@dfchang813 nice. Well I collected the .45 scale lightsabers. Couldn't afford the 1:1 scale.
