So what I liked about having a Undercut Man Bun
Looks More Edgy and slick. It also gave a little more of a masculine vibe. For reason when I think shaved head I think rough and tough?
Less Maintenance and Easy to style- Very easy to style and holy f-word, straightening my hair when I had the undercut man bun was FAR easier for obvious reasons. Half the hair = Half the time. So I really enjoyed it for that.
Versatility - So this Hairstyle was one the most versatile hairstyles I’ve ever had. Most of you will have seen my video about the 10 styles I made with an undercut, if you haven’t I’ll leave a card up there for you.
This hairstyle gave me so much more than just a man bun, I got so many wacky cool styles out of it, like the Hair Bow, The Hair Net and that crustation hairstyle Dale did on me that one time. It’s actually insane How much I could do with just a patch of fur on the top of my head. SO if you are someone who loves variety you’ll love have that Man bun.
Full Man Bun -
What I love about having a full man bun:
So much more hair to play with and completely new experience. One of the key differences with this bun is you can change the positioning of it to pretty much anywhere you want on your head.
For example you can wear your man bun super high, or you can wear your man bun in the middle or you can even wear your ban bun really low. If you guys saw episode 1 of this series you’ll know I covered the different variations of full ban bun. I’ll leave a card for episode one in the video for you :) .
But yeah, with the undercut man bun it only really looks good around the middle section.It’s very hard to pull of a low bun with the undercut. I tried, it looked ok but no where near as good and essentially gives you so much more bun versatility.
Whilst we are on the topic of versatility, rocking the full Man bun doesn’t just enable you to have total man bun versatility, but it also gives you complete hairstyle versatility. A couple weeks back I dropped a video about 10 different hairstyles I’ve been doing since I’ve had my hair longer and boy oh boy just when I thought I’d figured nearly every hairstyle out with the undercut, I’ve just come up with a ton more.
Because of this I’m certainly not complaining, both the Undercut Man Bun and the Full Man Bun can provide great variety, I guess it just depends on where you are at and what your hair goals are huh :).
Over all and in conclusion, I’m more so on the Full Man Bun team, I mean after all I did just spend a year growing my undercut out lol. Besides, it’s also just where I’m at right now. I rocked the Undercut Man Bun for a really long time and eventually we just get over things. So I think when you are making your decision you just gotta decide where you are at and know that at any point if you change your mind you can always change. Yes it take a bit of time but you’ll get there eventually.
