Yeah that seems like the thing to do. I really dont complain that much being that I only play hardcore SnD. So camping on that is expected. But if your on TDM or other game modes that are similar and your camping that's some bitch shit.
@Obed Blas I'd have to disagree. In the beginning people are usually running around trying to learn the maps. Camping typically comes later. Even in BO4 as fast paced that game is people are still camping.

Kinda surprised that you didn't test, or even mention, the issue where aim assist actually causes your reticle to be pushed AWAY from the enemy in some cases. I most often notice it if I'm aiming somewhere and then an enemy runs through my line of sight... the reticle will actually get pushed along IN FRONT of the enemy, instead of actually snapping onto them. It's a bug/issue that has annoyed me for years.

I've really been enjoying the Precision aim assist option. It's forced me to learn to be more accurate on the snap as well as to not panic spray on the hip fire in cqb

There’s a major latency issue in game game though especially for everyone who does cross play I’ve been on target and kill cam shows the guy being 4-5 feet left or right of what is on my screen
its hits worse when you're the final killcam and you just look like a complete dummy spraying into thin air while theyve magically skipped to being behind you

Give me a lean mechanics video asap. I want to see what it looks like to others when leaning vs strafing, dropping, or jumping. I need to figure out which is my best bet.
When you lean, pretty well half your body is exposed.

It isn't leaning. it looks the same as if you just stood there.
If not mistaken Focusing aim assist impact is seen when you have two enemies next to each other, focusing will lock to your first target rather than fight in between the two targets.
Kapstronaute would you happen to know why anyone would use precision?
He recommends standard with the exception of snipers(precision or focusing).

Use linear. Aim response curve is just how your player will react to you moving the right stick. The default settings I found were a bit clunky but linear is better if you have good control over the right stick
I use the second option with sensitivity of 4.

Either use Standard or Dynamic. Dynamic sounds weird at first, but when you actually read the description, this is by far the best Option. There is no 2nd opinion about this topic, sry
According to Activision: Precision tightens the area for aiming slowdown, but makes that slowdown more powerful, while Focusing gives a stronger aim slowdown when your aim would normally miss the target by a narrow margin.
Now I wish I could set the aim assist by loadout, or even for each gun in a loadout!

I was just think about that today for some reason while sniping. I’m a pretty competent sniper on both standard and precision but with precision I can hit some pretty dirty drags. The only problem is that I can’t use any other gun because I’m so hyper aggressive and I didn’t realize how much aim assist rotation actually helps. So having standard on reg guns and precision on snipers would be very helpful. But also everyone would use it. It almost makes me wish we didn’t have the option sometimes.

You're probably right. I've also mostly been playing with my friends which who are on PC. There should definitely be a FOV slider on console or at least on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro because it is an advantage for PC players in Cross-Play.

Standard aim assist literally gets me killed sometimes when I catch multiple people offguard. If I aim at one, but the other person behind them moves, it pulls my sights off the first person before I kill them.

Yup, I've also been preaiming doorways when I hear footsteps and fire as soon as the person comes through but the damn aim assist would drag my crosshair in front of the person when they came through, effectively forcing me to miss every shot where they then turn and shoot me

Standard would be perfect if the "bubble" was smaller. You should just be able to adjust the aim assist settings like you can on Overwatch - on there you can adjust the strength and size of the aim assist bubble (though it would be nice to have a visual representation of the bubble when you're adjusting the size).

I remember being extremely frustrated while playing MW3 because even when I disabled the Aim Assist, I still felt the system fighting my aim. In this warzone world, it sometimes feels like I am fighting the gun and the aim assist to get head shots. As usual, an great and informative video brother! 'Keep doing what you are doing".

ive felt like focusing has made me more accurate at range. especially with SMGs. I am melting people at distance with the MP5 now
I felt the same recently! Hav been playin wit focusing and precision aim assist for the past 2 days to test it out! Surprisingly, it locks on to the player once we aim and start shooting with very minimal effort to control recoil at any range!

@@immalkah Rainbow Six: Siege has no aim assist on console and everyone does well. It takes alot of practice but it makes it alot more rewarding when you climb the higher ranks.
MechHead ZA that’s unique to that game and that game alone. Its success without AA does not constitute mirroring to other titles. The COD fan base would definitely not be happy, it’s a different audience/market.
@@mechhead siege is a way slower and more tactical game than cod. You don't move nearly as much and the characters in siege move significantly slower. It would be horrible in cod, just because it works in one game doesn't mean it would work in another.

Thanks for the detailed video. The section on snipers at the end of the video added fuel to the fire. We have played all of the COD games for years and it is still amazing how the sniper fires one shot and gets a kill whether the cross hair is on the victim or not. As you watch in kill cams you can clearly see that in many cases the sniper round misses the victim but the victim goes does. So, you have two issues here that have been with COD for many years: 1} The sniper does not have to be direct on target to kill the victim and 2) It is one shot and the sniper kills the victim. This part would be acceptable but only if your M4s and other assault weapons would kill with one shot (which in real life this would be true unless you are comparing a .50 cal round to the M4, but you are not plus a .50 cal round whizzing by you will scare the hell out of you, but will not kill you) . For many years we have called these snipers "one shot wonders". I have used a sniper weapon on a few occasions, only because I picked one up off a dead sniper and sure enough what easy kills. For years and years we have waited for a patch on the sniper weapon, but don't hold your breath.

Day one I was using focusing and headshots were so easy slowdown seems to make it easy to pull up slightly and hit the head

Focusing seems to track the enemy player if they run past you. In case you want to test that.

Could you re-check "focus" after firing a few rounds that nearly miss your target? That's when focus kicks in right? I'm guessing that the aim assist bubble will grow as you continue to miss.

Once again, thank you man! Been using precision because I truly love the on target separation between close targets but once I see it has no rotation assist.... I sold! Standard it is. Also good from game to game as it’s consistent. Thanks and keep on keeping on haha.
I started using precision and I think that’s best for me I had a really hard time getting kills but since the I’m dropping at least 15 kills
Aim assist has gotten me killed more often than not. When I see a target and sweep towards it, I'm expecting it to go at X rate. When it suddenly goes to X-50% rate, I start firing and stop moving the crosshair too early and completely miss, which more often than not, results in them shooting me dead first. The lack of strafe tracking has probably contributed to more deaths in my moving encounters, but I just can't get past the high number of times I know I've died because I stopped my aim early due to the aim assist slowdown. Maybe I'll try Precision to see if it helps me stay on target after I initially acquire it.

@@svensvensson86 I think I ended up with Focusing, just in case it has some magnetism with full auto fire that Ace might not have been able to really test. I wouldn't mind getting some rotation assist, but there's no way I can deal with Standard's wide slowdown bubble. Focusing is definitely better than none (or Standard). I'd imagine Precision is probably pretty similar, but after I was getting better results with Focusing, I didn't bother trying any more testing.

on the lowkey. i wanna see some coverage of the mounting mechanic on walls and ledges cause i know for a fact it massively reduces recoil. Im just unaware of any bonus effects or drawbacks if any. ARs can full auto at sniper range when mounted. and even the fal which has high recoil gets really accurate when mounted up even when being fired really quick

Dr. Kuhn I think it’s a connection/net code thing. Sometimes I get dumped by Kilo 141s, MP5s, P90s, and others, even if I’m using an M4 and sometimes it feels like my M4 can’t buy a kill.
Precision adds more stickyness to the head part while focused on the center of a body.

Aim curve should always be set on linear(the other options won't let you build muscle memory so you'll never learn to get naturally better with aiming), sensitivity usually at 8, but that is something that is different for each person, I personally use kontrolfreeks on my right stick so I can use a higher sensitivity and have more precision. If you use a lot of dmr's and sniper rifles you should use precision or focused, for anything else you should go for standard aim assist.

I've actually turned aim assist off in MW because it's honestly kind of annoying. At least on close range maps like shipment, it's gotten me killed on numerous occasions. I'll be aiming on one enemy and another enemy closer by will trigger the aim assist and cause me to turn towards and track that enemy instead making me lose my initial gunfight.
When you turn the aim assist off, does the game remove it completely or only decrease it?

I use precision as I'm running around and I've gotten used to accounting for my own rotation, I hate aim assist going to moving targets in my aim rather than the one I shoot at, plus the random movement if someone jumps past me, it throws me off. That's why I switched to precision, to be more in control of my camera

Why didn't you test all three settings where the opponent is moving across your crosshair while you're stationary? I feel like that's a big oversight in your testing.

I think the difference between focusing and precision is that focusing moves your reticle slower when aiming at an enemy. Meaning when you have someone in your sights, it is easier to really hone in on head + chest shots

What people probably don't realize is that standard aim assist is meant for TV's and precision is meant for monitors. Reason the slowdown is bigger on standard is that if you have input lag, you're likely to overshoot the target while snapping on. This is also true for rotational assist. It's meant to help you moving in the right direction to compensate for input lag on TV's. I started using precision because I find it easier when you have situations with multiple enemies on screen, and also situations where you are just a hair off.
Its so anoying when some other enemy walks infront of you and your aim turns away... So precision is still the best.
Is it possible that Focusing and precision assist having no target rotation a possible bug at the moment? I'd ask them if u have a chance Ace and then maybe revisit this in a couple weeks to see if they changed.
That explains why sniping feels so good on console with the focus and precision setting.

Is anyone else just struggling in this game? I know it plays differently but even knowing that it’s still a struggle to do good. I’m fighting just to barely keep my K.D over 1.00. I’m getting shot from EVERYWHERE and I feel like everything is WAY too loud to the point I can’t hear what I need to hear

I'm shredding ppl as well. And my picture and sound is absolutely amazing I have no complaints. I'm on a 4K HDR TV though and it looks gorgeous. Probably one of the best graphics I've seen in a game. 4K makes all the difference in the world!

I'm pretty new to COD and have been messing with settings for the week I've had it trying to dial it in and not get my ass handed to me every match. Looking at the settings I picked focusing as it says it's for new players but I should be on standard 🤦🏾♂️. That's some misleading info if I've ever seen it.
please do an aim response curve. I'm currently in love with the dynamic I feel so much more accurate. the descriptions don't make any sense to me but it feels great. I have a Astro c40tr with battle beaver customs increased tension on my aim stick and I'd love to know how to make this response curve with all my shooter games
Time to kill is fast, which balances the snipers and it is how it should be. If sniper misses a shot, he dies, if he hits his shot, he wins.
