this was SO HELPFUL!!! BUT- I went to purchase the longer cable for iphone using your link, but the product description states it's not for Shure MV7?
INTERESTING!!!! I see exactly what you are talking about but I've purchased two and they both worked. That is quite confusing. I'm going to pin this comment and look into it. Maybe there was an update and its no longer usable. Let the experiments begin. I'll report back. If anyone else has been trying, also let us know in this comment thread.

How do you adjust sensitivity of MV7 using iPhone?
Any recommendations for a small high quality microphone on the go that won't break the bank? I just purchased a MV7, and thinking of getting something to use when I'm on the go.
The SHURE MV7 have a USB so if I connect directly to the console… does it work? Or it is necessary to plug on the laptop

just learned this isn't possible with the Osmo Mobile 3 but it IS possible with the Osmo Pocket 2 and 3 (per DJI support) and then you can use the lightning port of the phone to plug in a mic@@marieloumandl

It’s a little too far. I tried cause I like my camera out of frame but this mic isn’t built for that
the cable you have linked is saying is not suitable for the MV7 anymore. Any other alternatives? I bought a USB to Iphone adapter, but it did not work

I am using a rode i-XLR which plugs directly into my iphone, but it’s not lighting up and it seems to be working but my Shure is not lighting up. Is that normal?
I don’t think they light up when connected as XLR mics

ASMR sure, but I dont know about cooking videos. You need to be pretty close to use it effectively

Didn't work for my IPhone 14 pro, unfortunately (the mic wasn't recognized). Does work for IPad Air, for some reason..
Other people have been saying the same - I recommend testing in an app like RØDE Capture or shure Motiv to see if it’s actually connected or not. Are you using the same cable for both?
When I connect Shure MV7 to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it only records a crackling noise. It doesn't record the real audio.
How to get rid of that noise and record normally when Shure MV7 is connected to an iPhone?
I've used the correct cable and they're properly connected. When I try to update the firmware on Motiv app, it just gives an error.
I also tested with a different microphone and it works perfectly with the iPhone so there's some issue with the Shure connection.
If there’s an error in Motiv I would reach out to Shure about it - that sounds like a bigger issue

@@marieloumandl i am trying to create a podcast using iphone 14 camera instead of the web camera from a computer and using the shure microphone with a sound interphase.
@@Papaupa2011 just connect the external mic to your iphone and place it in the stand, also do not use your front camera that is low res, use the rear and put a mirror in the back so you can see yourself and the phone display, understood?
I bought the cable to put between shure microphone and my iPhone, but when I talk in the microphone, the green lights are off, the shore microphone is off. .. what is the problem ? the app motif records my voice but not through the microphone... Thanks for your help !

I don’t have the iPhone 15 to test specifically but I plug this into my laptop using usb-c so in theory it should work
it should work, same technical, it is just USBC connector, so buy micro USB to USBC cable, simple

I am the opposite. I can’t connect it to my iphone but I can connect it on my iPad. I am not sure why that is the case

Is it a cable specifically for microphones? I learned at some point that some cables are just for power and not to transmit info. If it is the cable I suggested, our next bet is to plug the mic into something else like your computer to make sure it isn’t a problem with the mic. If it works, next step is to contact shure
It’s the same one you have! I finally got it it turn on, I had to tap it but unfortunately my phone still isn’t picking it up as a mic..so to shure it go unfortunately 🙃
