This is part of a trilogy- “ Don’t cry “ is first video, then “November Rain”, then “ Estranged”. All amazing, deep artistic songs! The songs and videos tell the story.
Yes! Some people think November Rain comes first and Don’t Cry is second, but I’m also of the opinion that Don’t Cry is first and November Rain is second.
I rank Estranged higher than Stairway as the greatest/most perfect rock song ever written. The parts and movements, the emotional changes, the piano breakdown.....and Slash rising out a Red Sea playing my favorite solo to date ( Most rock and roll shit I ever seen lol).....I just don't know a more original song.
@@shanevaters1615 absolutely. I’ve always maintained that Estranged is one of the greatest songs ever written. Probably in my top 10 songs of all time and certainly my favorite GNR song. The only song in their catalog that can rival-and in many people’s opinion-top November Rain. I think that’s so cool that GNR has not only one grand, epic piece of work under their belt, but two of them. I know November Rain was kinda like Axl’s baby for years before they even made the song, and that for those years, he had something big planned for it. And knowing how much was put into it creatively and how perfected it was, the fact that they were able to then pump out Estranged is so impressive to me. I think most bands would be creatively spent after making a song like November Rain. Say what you want about Axl, I know a lot of people dislike him, but you can’t deny the creative stamina it takes to pull of a feat like that.
Kendrick Lamar and Mac Miller are two contemporary artists who in my opinion, like GnR, are poets first and musicians second. If you’re not into hip hop I get that, but I recommend Circles by Mac Miller and Damn by Kendrick. I feel like anyone can enjoy those albums
I understand this song through my own experiences. Ten days after my wedding day the doctor came to inform me that my new bride was dying and there was nothing that they could do to change it. Five months later she was gone. This month is the 20 year anniversary of her death. To this day I can not face the fear of losing another love so I have stayed alone. I know that one day I will meet her again in a better place. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
I'm sorry to hear your story and I am sorry for your loss. The pain fades, but never really goes away. My wife drowned when my son was 5, he saw it happen. I raised him alone because I didnt want my son to feel like I was trying to replace his Mom. He is now 26. Also, like you, I wouldn't make it through that again. If my son had drowned with his Mom, we would have never met, you and I. We will see them again in a far better place.
Fun fact about the 2 solos Slash did in the video for November Rain. He said in an interview that when he was playing the solos outside in front of the church. He was actually playing his electric guitar. And he could not see so he had to go by memory on what chores to play on his electric Guitar. Because the helicopter that was flying around getting shots had to come close so they could see him playing the electric guitar close up. And he said they got so close at times it almost scrared him to death because they got so close to him.
An absolute masterpiece!! I was lucky enough to be in the generation that got to experience this song when it was released in the early 90s. The whole 'Use Your Illusion I' album was incredible. It gave me chills then, and Slashes solo at the end still gets into my soul.
This song and the video clip are one of the best in history and the best of the band Guns N' Roses. Although they had strong controversies in their history, they are still one of the best rock bands that changed the entire history of the genre. 👨🏻🎤🤘🏻⚡🎸
Did you notice that everything takes place in a gigantic church? But when Slash walks out of this church for his magnificent guitar riff, the church is all of a sudden tiny... 😉 😁
I still remember being at my dad's store watching this video for the first time in my life! I was 13 years old at the time, and on that moment when Slash gets on the piano and starts playing that monumental/epic solo I stood in awe and said to myself "I want to do that!!!". Few months later I started my electric guitar journey!!! Thank you Slash, for changing my life that day!! Great reaction, glad you enjoyed it :)
That's awesome! I was 7 when I saw the vid, but I already had 2 guitars in the house. But I wanted to have that blue shirt and I drove My parents crazy until the bought one. Happiest GN'R fan ever.
1991 might be the best year in rock history. August 12 Metallica released the Black album. August 27 Pearl Jam put out their debut album Ten. Sept 17 brought us the double album Use Your Illusion 1 & 2 from Guns and Roses. I've always felt this was a fitting grand finale to the age of hair metal. Especially since one week later on Sept 24 came Nirvana's Nevermind.
I have said the same thing to so many people. There are certain years where an amazing amount of great music is released and 91 was definitely one. Don't forget Ozzy's "No More Tears" album came out that year and "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" from Red Hot Chilli Peppers was also released.
This song is a masterpiece! From Axel's gritty voice, mixed with the passionate and profound lyrics, the precision of the orchestra, and topped off with Slash's wailing guitar throughout, wind in his hair against the backdrop of that desert church, all come together in the most amazing way!🎙🎶🎸😫👏
32 years ago this song came on after my girlfriend and I broke up but in hindsight it completely captured the end of our relationship. Music can truly transport us through time and space.
This is actually part of a trilogy of songs (Estranged and Don't Cry are the other two parts). The lyrics and the videos of the trilogy are based on a short story by Del James called "Without You". Basically the story is about a band called Suicide Solution and their vocalist, Mayne Mann, who is of course supposed to be Axl Rose. Mayne has a girlfriend or wife, Elizabeth. So SS are on tour, and it's the last stop. A tour's last stop most often means one or both of two trends - first, that they end (and start) in their hometown; second, that it's the best show of the tour. Mayne wants to celebrate after the show with Elizabeth, but she's called out of town on business. Mayne's mad, so he picks up a groupie after the show, and they're hooking up in his hotel room. Matter of fact I think there are two girls, they're having a threesome. The drummer comes by, and Mayne offers him a girl; he turns him down. Then it turns out Elizabeth's trip was cancelled at the last moment. She finds out what room he's in, and goes there to surprise him. Mayne hears a knock, thinks his drummer is back, so he answers the door nude with a girl on each arm, nude as well. He's looking right at his wife, and she takes off. He gets dressed and gives chase. She loses him, gets home, and when he finds her, she's shot herself in the head. That is why only half of her face is shown during the funeral.
Fun fact. I read somewhere that her wedding dress with a video cost $10,000. To make the video was over a million dollars and they built the church in the desert from the ground up the ground up
Axl Rose and Stephanie Seymour (plays the bride in this video and is the daughter of Jane Seymour and was a super-model at the time) were acrually married in real life for a while. Both of Slash's solos in this song are in most every guitar magazines' lists of top 10 solos of all-time.
Wern't they only engaged? Anyway she was absolutely stunning, I wish it had work for them but Axl had too much mental health issues and trauma to manage a healthy relationship.
They played this song at the funeral of a young coworker while they were carrying his coffin out of the church. I can never hear this song without thinking of that funeral and him..
At the end it says based on the short story With You by Del James who's a closed friend of lead singer Axl Rose and the authorized biographer for Gun's N' Roses. That short story is taken from his book called The Language Of Fear. I won't tell you what the story is about but recommend reading it for yourself. November Rain was the most expensive video ever made at the point in time, however, Axl Rose was not happy with it and wanted to buy the video to put into storage so it would never be seen but it would've left him broke so he decide to put it out which has become their most watched video on RUclips with over 2 billion hits. The bride in the video was Axls' girlfriend at the time Stephanie Seymour who he got engaged to but things went south and they broke up. Also in the video, the guitar being played by Slash used to belong to none other than Joe Perry, lead guitarist with Aerosmith, which Slash gave back to him as a birthday gift.
I think one reason why reaction channels are so popular these days is that we get a chance to see truly genuine reactions, reactions to emotions and witness someone experience them. Aileen gives some of the most true emotional responses of all the reaction channels. Her smiles, her frowns, that stank face when the music hits, all of those. Watching her smile and groove while the song was going on were great, but the "oh no" and the change in emotion shown on her face fucking KILLS it on this video. Amazing. Thank you Aileen for letting us in to this aspect of your life, seeing those emotions help those of us who struggle to emote ourselves.
I was just a simply band nerd in high school when this song dropped, I was playing trumpet at the time, it was marching band season and me and my friend Joe had solos. One day during practice we decided to do our solos like slash and it was hilarious. Man I didn’t realize how lucky I was to grow up back then… now I just wish I could go back
Don’t cry with Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon on backup vocals. Fun fact both him and axle are from Lafayette, Indiana. He invited Shannon out to LA while they where making the record. Love slash solo in this track, one of my favorite of his.
Slash is one of the greatest ever because his solos are so incredibly melodic, soulful and memorable. Sure, there are a million guitarists who can play faster, but try and find one who can compose a solo as iconic and and brilliant as any Slash did for just this song.
Slash's guitar solo is one of the best guitar solo's in rock history. Probably only topped by David Gilmour's solo in Comfortably Numb. Well, and Brian May's solo in Spread Your Wings.
You are incredibly perceptive, it takes some people multiple times listening to this to understand what it’s all about, but you nailed it perfectly first time, you were even getting it right as it was going on!
These guys were at the top. Gods in the genre. Hell, in ALL of music at the time. Drugs, booze, ego… they went through such hard times in the late 90’s until a few years ago.
Love your take on this song. November Rain is definitely different from sweet child of mine. I also can hear and feel the pain in his voice. So much truth to this song. Just a few more Guns now Rose's you may like are Welcome to the Jungle, Patience, Mr.Brownstone. Not one song is like the other. You won't be disappointed!😊
Yes, a beautiful reaction to a modern day masterpiece. Always end up singing along. G nR : DONT CRY is a must. CIVIL WAR, KNOCK ON HEAVEN DOOR, and LIVE AND LET DIE. TED NUGENT: STRANGLEHOLD, when you get a chance. Great video, keep it up 👍
You should have watched "Don't Cry" first, this song is the first of the trilogy, "November Rain" the 2nd and "Estranged" the 3rd. Other great Guns N' Roses video's are: • Garden of Eden _(my personal favorite)_ • Civil War • Welcome to the Jungle _(even for a +35 year song still very relevant for today's society)_ • Patience _(another great ballad)_ • Yesterdays • Live and Let Die
This is "The BALLAD". So theathrical, so emotional, telling a beautiful but tragic story of love...Mesmerizing! Seems like a movie. I love that it takes the time, slowly telling and showing us little details, building momentum. Not like today that everything is rushed...
I remember standing outside of my local Tower records store in 1991 waiting to get a copy of Guns n’Roses Use Your Illusion album with this song. Really a great reminder of a lost but never forgotten period of high quality Rock n’Roll. I clearly remember listing on my way home the line “Nothing last forever, even cold November rain” - this was before the video came out. Such a remarkable song about good and bad periods which come, go, but always leave a mark.
Also from the time when you could spend 1.5 million on a video as a supergroup and have a small church built on a scenic place, just for the video. The original version of the song was 25 minutes long. And Slash played the longest guitar solo in a top 10 single. And Axl Rose played all of the individual violin parts times and times again by hand. I love facts. Especially if they are part of such a majestic piece of music.. Great seeing you enjoying this so much!
Patience and Civil War are a must listen to if you like November Rain, there are so many good ones, for many year's Don't Cry (alternative lyric) was my favorite GNR song, actually think most listen to that one and not the original Don't Cry
Oh Aileen just the look on your face just kinda says it all. But ya this is part of a trilogy. Can’t wait to seem them all. And tomorrow just happens to be just 1 part of our “Cold November Rain’. 2017, my oldest daughter Tiffeny, 34. Was hit in the lungs with 2 blood clots. Taking her life instantly. Tomorrow will be 6 years since she left us.🥲💙Then this coming March 7th, would have been my very first grandchild Ryeli’s, 16th bday. A drunk driver hit my daughter at 7:30 am. She was 7-1/2 months pregnant. This was in 08. So yes, nothing lasts forever, even Cold November Rain.💙🥲❤️
This (November Rain) is part of a trilogy of vids that are like 'mini-movies', each video tells a story and they're all connected. This song is one of the most viewed on RUclips btw, it's amazing, the lyrics, the music, the guitar solos... simply perfection
There are a ton of great GnR songs that would be easily forgotten by younger generations. "Get in the Ring", "Estranged", "Dead Horse", and "Coma" all come to mind.
November Rain is Axl's masterpiece. He actually started writing the song in 1985 not long after GNR formed. It was going to be on their debut album Appeteite For Destruction but it wasn't finished although the other band memebers wanted to help Axl finish the song, he wanted to complete it on his own so Sweet Child O' Mine took it's place. The orchestral part of the song was made on 8 synthesizers as Axl went through thousands of different sounds to replicate an orchestra as it was impossible to get a whole orchestra into the studio. The orchestra you see in the video is actually playing with GNR when the video was made. The woman Axl marries in the video was his girlfiend at the time, Stephanie Seymour. The video is about Axl having a nightmare which is based on the short Story With You from a book called The Language Of Fear written by the bands authorised biographer & friend of Axl called Del James. November Rain is part 2 of the video "trilogy" with Don't Cry part 1 before it and Estranged part 3 after. Also the little church you see Slash walking out of was used in the film Silverado & the guitar he's using once belonged to Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry which Slash gave him back for his 50th birthday. Axl explains in a documenatry that the song is about unrequited love. The funeral is because she shot herself in the head hence why you see the split caskest...
Axl in 1985 still did not have the name of the song, it was in November 1990 when Erin Everly misscarried of their unborn child, he decided to name the song November Rain
1985 was the year I was born. And I was born on the 2nd day of November. I've heard this song countless times and every time I hear it I'm just blown away at how relevant it is to my life. From needing time on your own to wondering why you're all alone to wondering when the "rain" is gonna end, it's almost as if this song was written for me.
This one was emotionally loaded and only very few people ever expected an Emotional Ballad from the likes of G&R. This was a really serious subject and the song covered it BEAUTIFULLY, and THEN, there is this absolute Masterpiece of a Music Video to go with it. They WANTED it to be talked about, it was important to them or the MV would not have been like this. Others also wanted to talk about it or the MV would not have BLOWN UP like it did (both when it first hit MTV and again when RUclips finally picked it up). Don't worry about talking a lot. You are just fine, it is totally okay, your reaction is completely valid (as is shedding tears over it). You are a real sweetheart and I would not change a thing about your reaction. Expectations about reactions should be tossed out the window. Just be yourself, don't let others tell you how to feel or react. You have your very own channel and you are your own boss here. If somebody doesn't like your reaction or wants a specific reaction that you did not give, they can either 1) go jump in the lake to cool off, or 2) they can go make their own reaction channel (where they can be their own boss and make even bigger fools of themselves because people will pretty quickly figure out just how fake and full of crap they really are).
Hi Aileen I'm loved this Ballad and the orchestra, gives it a sublime touch, although what the lyric transparency is A loss of love by suicide continues to be a timeless rock hit. Not forgetting the incredible and powerful Slash.
Aileen, this song is just one part of amazing trilogy from GnR. “Don’t cry“ is first video, then goes “November Rain” and the last one is “Estranged”. Songs tell the story. Videos too. The most artistic is the last one in my opinion. Try it! :-) Greetinz from Poland!
I used to love this song, then they overplayed it on the radio, but i love it again now. Axl and Slash are absolute legends. This was peak period for GNR. Axl writing and performing incredible lyrics and Slash is one of the best to ever pick up a guitar. I love his solos, they flow so perfectly. I vote for Estranged next
arrived in LA in november 1991 from the uk, spent 5 incredible years and dont cry and november rain always take me back to those early days in a fantastic city at that time!
This is one of those videos that MADE MTV. Great reaction, this is the best of the music videos. Emotional. And the mirrored coffin. Makes you feel every time.
This video and song hit me harder than anything now that I'm celebrating the third year without my wife. She passed away in April 2021. So like Axl .. all we have left is the November Rain.
I’ve listened to this song thousands of times and was just not prepared for the emotional breakthrough I just had now experiencing it again. It’s so true that we experience art differently as life goes on. There are no words.
I was heart broken & super young when this song was new! I'm 45 now and saying YOLO! great song & review! To me music tells a story sometimes.Differet songs fit different situations.
Omggg I love your reactions girl! You should do “estranged” and “don’t cry” they both have very deep meanings and actually go in order with this song! It goes cry, November rain, and estranged.
Someone said once that Mark Knopfler ( spelling?) achieved the pinnacle of the sound of the fender stratocaster on sultans of swing. THIS is the same for the Gibson Les Paul. The absolute perfect sound.
This is a rock masterpiece and one of the greatest songs and performances ever. Axl is amazing with lyrics and expressing feelings and Slash is amazing into expressing the feeling of the song by his melodic solos or whatever feeling that the songs needs, from mellow to agressive.
Aileen, I have to give recognition to your insight, and wise thoughts when it comes to this type of reaction.. I admit that I have criticized your previous use of a heart monitor, in the past, to which I promptly corrected myself and apologized due to my skepticism. You teach us something, even those of us who have heard the given song a thousand times. I love your perspective, and everyone I know deserves to hear it.
Great reaction to a great song with a great video. An odd bit of information - of all the videoes made before youtube, this was the first one to reach 1B views on youtube. Such an iconic video this one.
I was 8 years old when this came out, and I think it kinda speaks to speaks to how good G N R’s songs were because I loved it, and them in general, as did many of my friends. It was the only actual artist I was into at that age, otherwise I’d just like random songs by others here and there. I often wonder how they would feel about being so beloved by 8 year olds, they may have felt they deserved a more badass fanbase 😂 I’m 40 now, but when I was in my late twenties I found a tape cassette my friend and I had recorded at 8 or 9 yrs old of us singing this, but then I lost it again forever! Man I’d give anything to have that back it was hilarious
Beautiful reaction Aileen😊 you have such a gift of insight 😊 thank you for working so hard 😊 you indeed are a blessing 😊 all the recommendations are great😊 I look forward to your reactions 😊
L.A Guns came from this band , probably most know. They went on to make some great music. Ballad of Jayne maybe their most popular but honestly any song off of Hollywood Vampires album you really can't go wrong. You need to check them out
My list I would love for you to review! Tesla - Love Song Guns N Roses - One in a million, Patience, Mr Brownstone Blind Melon - No Rain, Sleepyhouse Willie Nelson - Blue eyes crying in the rain Skid Row - 18 and Life Iron Maiden - Wasted Years Metallica - Sanitarium, Battery, Fade To Black The Temptations - I Wish it Would Rain The Cure - Pictures Of You, Boys Don't Cry, Lovesong SLAYER - EVERYTHING LOL Could def list SO many more... love your vids tho! Thanks for sharing your love of music with us!
it's interesting to revisit these song's you listened to when you were a kid and only now as an adult really, like really, understanding what they're about. just comes with life experience. you have a presence of great warmth and empathy aileen, feels like a virtual hug every time i watch a video of yours, thank you.
I was watching a RUclips video with GnR's "This I Love" and saw a comment from a woman who just said "I wish someone loved me this much." Axl's vocals on that one are the most emotional I've ever heard from him.
What's wild is this was a point of contention between the band and Axel Rose. They believed November Rain was a stray away from their roots of rock and roll and Axel disagreed. This song is truly one of the greatest songs ever, despite the drama behind it
Nov. rain is part of a trilogy .november rain , dont cry and estranged. This was my decade,i grew up in the 70's and the 80's and glad your sampling the music that GOT US THRU SUCH A COOL TIME IN HISTORY.
I've recently come across your reaction videos. YOUR passion and visible emotion to the songs is so entirely BEAUTIFUL!!! Your views and takes on these songs is on point! Keep doing what you do. I'll keep doing what I do, that is watching and listening. Great catalog you've got going!
November Rain comes off the album "Use Your Illusion" which was a double album release with "Use Your Illusion 2" This song is grouped with Don't Cry (Original Version) & Estranged (off Use Your Illusion 2) and were always played on VH1 and MTV when they came out. Guns n Roses is a combination of two bands as Axel had briefly sang with both LA Guns & Hollywood Rose. Traci Guns, the founder of LA Guns had left before their line up was complete but Axel kept the name. GNR was once called the new Rolling Stones before breaking up after their cover album Spaghetti Incident & recording a cover of "Sympathy for the Devil"by the Rolling Stones for the Interview with the Vampire soundtrack. Back in the 80's and 90's music videos were made with stories to them. This started with both Michael Jackson & Cyndi Lauper as they felt music videos could be used to tell short films while promoting the album. GNR had plenty of great videos. Patience Welcome to the Jungle Sweet Child O'Mine You Could Be Mine (for the Terminator 2 soundtrack) Paradise City Since I Don't Have You Other songs without music videos but worth a listen Knockin on Heaven's Door Civil War Yesterdays 14 Years Better (this was after the break-up so different line up outside of Axel) IRS (same) Street of Dreams This I Love They have reunited since and released new music but just singles and those are good but no music videos
When you said that this upload was gonna be a special one, this was definitely a special one to come back 😭 So excited to see your reaction to this since I know you love ballads plus hello 260k??? You are *cooking* the sub count 🥹 Perfect way to come back 🖤
So glad I was born in 82, growing up listening to 70's and 80's music than a teenager in the 90's. It was the best time for music across all genres in my opinion.
I love her reaction from 7:18 the tears wasn't far away and then when the solo starts how she just enjoys the best piece of music ever. I still cry sometimes even though I have listened to November Rain since the video was released on MTV.
The scene when Slash can't find the ring and gets bailed out kinda reminds me of one of my closest friends weddings. I was the best man and standing right behind him of course. When the time came for the ring, he simply put his open hand behind his back which I immediately saw and put the ring in his hand and the ceremony went on flawlessly. Kinda the 'anti' this ceremony...LOL
GNR Was The Biggest Rock Band All The Time, In Late 80'S, GNR Won The MTV Video Music Award (VMA), Since 1989,1990,1992,1993. Beating U2 Albums, Metallica Albums, And Nirvana Albums in The MTV Music Video Award. Then GNR Vacuum in The Middle Of 1993, Then Came The Famous Alternative Bands, Such As: Nirvana, Pearl jam, And SmashingPumpkins. Nirvana is Famous For Entering The Same Music Recording Studio As GNR, Namely Universal Studio Music, Through The Album Nevermind. Even though Previously Nirvana Was Not Famous at The Time, When They Were Still in Their Indipop Music Studio. The Famous Alternative Music Band From 1993-1995. Then GNR Held A Reunion At Troubadour in L.A. And The Coachella Music Festival in 2006. Many Hollywood Artists Came, Watched The GNR Reunion, Because Everyone Missed The Band GNR Rock Music, Because The Music GNR Was Very Nice To Hear. I Loved The Band GNR. Music just isn't made like this anymore. You said it. It makes you feel

She just stopped to talk about the church guitar solo and all I can think is, “oh man…wait till she gets to the REAL guitar solo” 😊

I'm sorry to hear your story and I am sorry for your loss. The pain fades, but never really goes away. My wife drowned when my son was 5, he saw it happen. What an awful thing to happen. Best wishes to you and your son!
Don't Cry is so beautiful.
Fun fact about the 2 solos Slash did in the video for November Rain. He said in an interview that when he was playing the solos outside in front of the church. He was actually playing his electric guitar. And he could not see so he had to go by memory on what chores to play on his electric Guitar. Spot on
Same here. I've seen them on tour with Metallica at Giant Stadium.
Oops. I thought this was from Use Your Illusion II. Wow.
saw them with metallica in the old seattle kingdome early 90s...after metallica finished, half the crowd in general admission left lol@@warfossil
Yep...I was sixteen years old with my first girlfriend
This song and the video clip are one of the best in history and the best of the band Guns N' Roses. Although they had strong controversies in their history, they are still one of the best rock bands that changed the entire history of the genre. 👨🏻🎤🤘🏻⚡🎸

From Axel's gritty voice, mixed with the passionate and profound lyrics, the precision of the orchestra, and topped off with Slash's wailing guitar throughout, wind in his hair against the backdrop of that desert church, all come together in the most amazing way!🎙🎶🎸😫👏
Estranged has always been one of my favorites from GNR. This one is pretty epic though.
I remember 30 years ago when this song was brand new. Everyone was just flashed by this 9 minute power ballad.
Ya beat to to it posting about Stephanie, man she was on every magazine cover back in the day
Wern't they only engaged? Anyway she was absolutely stunning, I wish it had work for them but Axl had too much mental health issues and trauma to manage a healthy relationship.
So glad you listened to this so you could truly appreciate the talent of Slash. The first solo is amazing, but that final solo is just otherworldly.
They played this song at the funeral of a young coworker while they were carrying his coffin out of the church. I can never hear this song without thinking of that funeral and him..
Thanks for a great reaction Aileen.
Great song for sure, but for me their best is "Don't Cry". I'd definitely watch the music video for that also.
Please, please listen to Don’t Cry by Guns N’ Roses. That’s the first part to November rain. Great song!
A classic .
One in a million.
Civil war.
Patience.
You could be mine.
Don't cry.
Please and thank you Aileen.
Guns N' Roses - Estranged its MUST for the next reaction! Cheers! \m/
If third reaction would also be from musically very different, next reaction should be Patience.
I think Estranged would be the best straight after this song 🙏🏽
Yes, Patience is well worth a try!
Other great Guns N' Roses video's are:
• Garden of Eden _(my personal favorite)_
• Civil War
• Welcome to the Jungle _(even for a +35 year song still very relevant for today's society)_
• Patience _(another great ballad)_
• Yesterdays
• Live and Let Die
Slash's work in this song is perfection, the first solo feels happy, uplifting and hopeful, and the second the guitar is wailing in despair.
One of the greatest rock ballads of all time. When that double album came out that song was EVERYWHERE. Great song.
Loved the 'Use Your Illusion' albums!!
One of the best & the most beautiful rock ballads ever! Love Axl Rose's singing & I freaking LOVE Slash's guitar solo on this song! 🤘😃🙂
The tiny church was the church on wheels from the movie desperado.
Patience and Civil War are a must listen to if you like November Rain, there are so many good ones, for many year's Don't Cry (alternative lyric) was my favorite GNR song, actually think most listen to that one and not the original Don't Cry
Civil War was going be my suggestion for their next song for her to cover. Sad how it’s so old but it’s literally the world we’re living in today.
@@gferryman1 you hit the nail right on the head with that one, it's sad but true
❤😢
The song and the entire production quality of the video are on another level, truly epic. Nothing current can compare.
This (November Rain) is part of a trilogy of vids that are like 'mini-movies', each video tells a story and they're all connected. This song is one of the most viewed on RUclips btw, it's amazing, the lyrics, the music, the guitar solos... simply perfection
This is probably my favourite G & R song. I particularly love the backing vocals throughout the song.
Don't Cry is the beginning of this story and is my favorite song by GnR. Estranged is the finale to this Trilogy. All three are must-listen!
There are a ton of great GnR songs that would be easily forgotten by younger generations. "Get in the Ring", "Estranged", "Dead Horse", and "Coma" all come to mind.
Garden of Eden is a banger
Get in the Ring is most definitely a certified banger!! The first true rock diss song!!!
Most expensive video at the time. Epic Guns!! Geez Slash is just next level. All his solos seem just amazing. Been a while since I heard that song.
Same feeling here, they really really REALLY overplayed this song😂 took 30 years to hear the beauty again.
arrived in LA in november 1991 from the uk, spent 5 incredible years and dont cry and november rain always take me back to those early days in a fantastic city at that time!
It'd be so interesting to see Aileen's reaction to Vincent by Don McLean. I think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever written
This is one of those videos that MADE MTV. Great reaction, this is the best of the music videos. Emotional. And the mirrored coffin. Makes you feel every time.
I have always loved this song. Love how the orchestra was used in the song.
This video and song hit me harder than anything now that I'm celebrating the third year without my wife. She passed away in April 2021. So like Axl .. all we have left is the November Rain.
❤
Estranged is amazing visually and emotionally. You want solos, Slash has 3 in it. Remember MTV world premiere countdown to these videos
I’ve listened to this song thousands of times and was just not prepared for the emotional breakthrough I just had now experiencing it again. It’s so true that we experience art differently as life goes on. There are no words.
It really has a very unique feel/melancholia to it, it's a masterpiece. I like this more than Bohemian Rhapsody personally.
Very good song and remember when it was released.
I was heart broken & super young when this song was new! I'm 45 now and saying YOLO! great song & review! To me music tells a story sometimes.Differet songs fit different situations.
I'm 45 as well and I sometimes wonder where the damn time went.
@MorbidCrow666 Yes I agree. It was fun times.I however like myself more, now than then!I'm less of a trainwreck and more financially secure now.lol
Hard to say but easily in my top 5 for best rock ballads ever written. Your reactions are great!
Well done Aileen, we love this song so much! 🖤♥️♠️
Omggg I love your reactions girl! You should do “estranged” and “don’t cry” they both have very deep meanings and actually go in order with this song! It goes cry, November rain, and estranged.
Definitely Estranged
The performance is a masterpiece
Someone said once that Mark Knopfler ( spelling?) achieved the pinnacle of the sound of the fender stratocaster on sultans of swing.
THIS is the same for the Gibson Les Paul. The absolute perfect sound.
SLASH (Soul Hudson) great guitar player !
You need to check out Estranged, and also Don't You Cry those videos are connected with this one.
This is a rock masterpiece and one of the greatest songs and performances ever.
Axl is amazing with lyrics and expressing feelings and Slash is amazing into expressing the feeling of the song by his melodic solos or whatever feeling that the songs needs, from mellow to agressive.
Great song and reaction. Their cover of Live and Let Die,,,,is even better,,,,,,and better than Paul's version. 💥💥💥👍😎
another great band from the eighties is Cinderella in one of their songs is " you don't know what you got till it's gone"
Wow! Quite surprised you had never heard this one.
Great reaction! All best! 👍
Such a great song! Lol, used to have this video recorded on VHS lol. The live version is just as amazing. Great reaction
I was 8 years old when this came out, and I think it kinda speaks to speaks to how good G N R’s songs were because I loved it, and them in general, as did many of my friends. It was the only actual artist I was into at that age, otherwise I’d just like random songs by others here and there. I often wonder how they would feel about being so beloved by 8 year olds, they may have felt they deserved a more badass fanbase 😂
I’m 40 now, but when I was in my late twenties I found a tape cassette my friend and I had recorded at 8 or 9 yrs old of us singing this, but then I lost it again forever! Man I’d give anything to have that back it was hilarious
Yeah this song kicks ass.
This is one of the Wife and I's favorite songs.
It fits us in so many ways.
You need to check them out
L.A. Guns started before GNR who came from a combination of L.A. Guns (Axl & Izzy) and Hollywood Rose (Slash & Steven Adler)
@vinniedixon1140 they might of started first but the Guns guy was with G-n-R but after not agreeing on things he left them to start LA Guns.
fvkin vibed with it so much. top tier musical content. 🤘
My list I would love for you to review!
Tesla - Love Song
Guns N Roses - One in a million, Patience, Mr Brownstone
Blind Melon - No Rain, Sleepyhouse
Willie Nelson - Blue eyes crying in the rain
Skid Row - 18 and Life
Iron Maiden - Wasted Years
Metallica - Sanitarium, Battery, Fade To Black
The Temptations - I Wish it Would Rain
The Cure - Pictures Of You, Boys Don't Cry, Lovesong
SLAYER - EVERYTHING LOL
Could def list SO many more... love your vids tho!
#1 favorite song of all time of any genre for me
One of those songs that grows A LOT with its videoclip. Glad you´ve shared this with us!
Thanks for your videos, Aileen!
One of the greatest songs of all time.
I've recently come across your reaction videos. YOUR passion and visible emotion to the songs is so entirely BEAUTIFUL!!! Your views and takes on these songs is on point! Keep doing what you do. I'll keep doing what I do, that is watching and listening. Great catalog you've got going!
Amazing reaction as always you always kill it and amazing song by Guns N’ Roses I can feel what your feeling during that solo
November Rain comes off the album "Use Your Illusion" which was a double album release with "Use Your Illusion 2"
This song is grouped with Don't Cry (Original Version) & Estranged (off Use Your Illusion 2) and were always played on VH1 and MTV when they came out.
Patience
Welcome to the Jungle
Sweet Child O'Mine
You Could Be Mine (for the Terminator 2 soundtrack)
Paradise City
Since I Don't Have You
Other songs without music videos but worth a listen
Knockin on Heaven's Door
Civil War
Yesterdays
14 Years
Better (this was after the break-up so different line up outside of Axel)
IRS (same)
Street of Dreams
This I Love
They have reunited since and released new music but just singles and those are good but no music videos
When you said that this upload was gonna be a special one, this was definitely a special one to come back 😭 So excited to see your reaction to this since I know you love ballads plus hello 260k??? You are *cooking* the sub count 🥹 Perfect way to come back 🖤
Follow this one up with Don’t Cry and Estranged for the 3 part trilogy.
My favorite reaction channel! Love how every video has real emotions and trully attention to every word of the musics! ❤
Honestly it's so awesome than an new person react to to the best song of the Gun's an roses.... Just thank you for them
Lisa Gerrard & Hans Zimmer - "elysium", "honor him", "now we are free" it's magical
Aileen you are doing great. You get to whatever song you’re ready for. I’m here for it!!!
