Really enjoy Ruxin explaining his cards and plays as he does it. Having so many new players coming into Yugioh, its a great way to open the doors to them
Nibiru is like a pet in Rhyme's Deck, it's just there, and how did you forget about the call by the grave effect, you could've banished his invoker from the grave the grave and negated it 4Head 22:37
Man this was absolutely awesome. Loved the full explanation and as the play was going. Definitely helps with me being a returning player after a decade away. Dark Magician was always my favorite deck and I'll be making some adjustments to my deck
22:34 You know. Called can negate, and banish the aleister they discarded last turn. It prevents all cards with the same name from using effect. XD I hope that helps, since I know it can be difficult against grindy decks to remember that sorta thing
This kind of crossover is amazing, I knew about Rhyme from Doto and Dragonball, then discovered Ruxin from Cimo. Seeing you two play, specially considering how different your videos are from one another, is crazy to me, really love the dynamic between you two.
At the end there, when he top decked and summomed Allister, you could've used Call by the Grave to remove his Allister in graveyard, hence negating the Alister's on field effect.
8:52 Dragon Spirit of white actually does indicate that it misses timing here. Its a "When" effect, meaning that in order for its effect to activate, this has to be the last thing to activate in the chain. Since Eternal soul was set by that field spell's effect AFTER dragon spirit of white was summoned, dragon spirit of white misses it's timing.
That alone doesn't indicate it misses timing at all. If you have to dig up the rulebook to explain the intricacies of "When" vs "If" in PSCT to know it, then it isn't clear enough in the effect alone.
I never played yugioh so the dark magician deck was my first proper master duel deck. It got me up to gold and it’s the reason why I’ve been having so much fun with this game. Also dark magician girl is pretty
Ruxin was great for this. I loved seeing him explain his plays. He's a great contrast to the three idiots. Would love to see him come back for another one of these. c:
It's worth noting that in one of the Blue-Eyes Structure Decks IRL, there was a little pamphlet about the difference between "if" and "when" for conditional ("you can") effects, which is what causes the missed timing (in this case, it's because something happened after Dragon Spirit of White was summoned, before it could activate its effect, that being Eternal Soul being set by Magician's Salvation. It's not always caused by chain order, however, something like Soul Charge would also cause the timing to be missed, since you lose LP after you summon the monster) That being said, this pamphlet is *not included* in Master Duel in any shape or form, and I don't even believe there's a rules section in the game
Hot damn I love the vibes from these guys. Wholesome. I love how homie has call from the grave and DOESNT use it on Invocation in the graveyard, giving enemy Aleister in hand to boost the fusion for win He misplayed but isn’t mad at all, they are just having fun with the game
11:54 Ruxin sounds like an anime protagonist who just did there ultimate move casually while Rhyme sounds like a villian that does the shocked "I can't believe it" voice lol.
LMAO 😂 Duel links taught me well. I was practically yelling "TOGGLE ON!!!" when you missed the Silver's Cry. Feels bad man, been there one too many time 😅
The missed timing with spirit of white dragon happened because the effect says "when this card is normal or special summoned:" so if an action happens immediately after the cards summoning its effect will miss its timing due to not being the immediate action. If it said "If this card is normal or special summoned:" then it'll activate regardless of what might happen immediately after the summon.
I kinda wanna see a series with Cimooo and Rhymestyle now. Maybe a tag duel where Cimooo joins forces with a rival from one of his series and Rhyme picks another of the 3 idiots.
Can you give me your deck's list cause I made a blue eyes chaos max dragon deck but tbh I just get clapped in ranked and I think it needs a lot of adjustments
Imagine if at some point Master Duel adds Tag Duels to the game! That could be really fun, especially with seeing how well (or poorly) certain Decks synergize with each other. It would even be possible to try "recreating" some Tag Duels from the anime to see which team "would" have won normally....or pair decks together that never interacted with each other before (such as Yugi's & Playmaker's decks). And yeah, Accesscode Talker is nuts. I have one of my own, in addition to a (Prismatic) Firewall Dragon.
Love how guys like Rhyme, Doto, SeeReax, Truth, all have some meta deck involving the OG cards (Dark magician, Blue eyes White Dragon, Egyptian God Cards etc.) and meanwhile there's me with my utopia deck where at the right draw I can make someone surrender withing the first three turns because I got a monster with over 5000 atk and def and can negate card effects or spell and trap cards and destroy others within their deck with the same name and banishing them. OP much, Idc.
Master Duel currently has a LOT of messed up timings. They straight up removed draw phase activation for most *anytime* traps, standby phase as well unless it specifies it.
if the card has an "if" effect it wont miss timing if its a "when" effect it will miss a lot of old yugioh cards where made with a "when" effect its not fully accurate but its a good way to remember it
4:54 you can tell they play duel links because the set backrow in main phase 1 instead of 2 Also the reson you couldn't chain the spell card at 6:25 is because once a spell card is set it acts like a trap card and can't be used until the next turn it would have worked if you kept the spell in your hand
This was really interesting to see especially since Ruxin used links and Accesscode. I thought he was playing pure Dark Magician so I didn't expect to see the play "normal summon Aleister" xD Very good matches here :)
with quick-play spells, you can't activate them the turn they're set. if you didn't set it before summoning spirit of white, you could've activated it from hand and done the thing you were trying to do with silver's cry.
Missing Timing: Only cards that have a "When" effect can miss timing. They miss the timing when they aren't chain link 1, since you summoned spirit of white on chain link 2 the effect would miss the timing.
I won against Sky Strikers with Neo-spacians today. Long story short, I was getting tons of LP with Air Hummingbird and left him with 1 last card in his deck partly thanks to Glow Moss, but sadly he ran out of LP before he did out of cards in his deck lol Also fun tymez out there with Ruxin. We need more duels with some other YGOtubers, if possible!
Watching Rhyme NOT Call by the Grave that Aleister hurt my soul. Don't know if it would've mattered in the end, but he definitely would've lived a turn
Access code talker one of my favorite cards to play when I need to win. Can bring em out 1st round about half the time if u run a code deck. I also filter in lady debug and can't remember other cyberse lv 1 monster that boosts cyberse type. Deck is really solid but not great traps and limited spells. Easy to fill in with common staples for a powerful deck
He could have called by the grave on aliester summon to send the 1st aliester in grave and the 2nd that was summoned would have been negated. For the spirit dragon play it miss timed because of the wording of the card being “when” so when it special summoned the resolution would be chain 2 special summon spirit dragon then chain 1 set eternal soul with no in between for spirit dragon to activate. If it worked that way it would start a new chain or cut in making a 3rd but that’s not how chains and resolutions work.
You can't activate quick play spell cards the turn you set them. This is to avoid things like setting Mystical Space Typhoon, prompting your opponent to use theirs, and then chaining it anyway.
Enjoying watching your duals rhyme and tbh yea older decks do suck but way easier to use compared to the new decks and I tbh prefer the old decks myself though.
Did anyone else notice? Why didn't he banish invocation to negate the effects and give himself one more turn. He still had a second egg and could have gotten alternative one last time and had a chance!
Aye don’t know if it was said in the comments already but if you set a quick play spell it can’t be activated that turn (assuming you were gonna activate silver’s)
Rhyme missed it. But when he activated Aleister that last time to search Invocation you should have called by the Aleister in the grave to negate the effects so he can't get a search for Invocation, and denying him game.
Rhyme... Why not trigger spirit dragon into azure eyes to make alternative immune to circle, Attack for damage and or trigger ability to pop dark magician? Instead of wasting dragon lords on a crash? Though you managed to get a nice come back anyways so it doesn't matter I guess Edit: Nvm
The protection from Azure wouldnt have helped him there because the effect of Azure is in a new chain. Circle would resolve first before the summon effect of Azure gets applied.
if you have room in your extra deck it might be worth playing linkuriboh! you can use it to send white stone of the ancients to the graveyard instead of crashing it through battle
"For those Yu-Gi-Oh experts who just say 'read the card'. It doesn't tell you it misses the timing." Yes it does. It's a WHEN effect. It's written right there on the card.

I love the contrast between ruxin and the other idiots. Ruxin is strategizing and concerned about plays
Doto and deion: Shut up dude eat this attack
Ruxin’s chat: I raised that boy
Also Ruxin’s chat: I also bullied him into being afraid to do anything, but Normal summon Aleister.
When Ruxian summoned aleister near the end Rhyme could have chained Called By and banished the aleister in Ruxian’s GY and negated it lol
Exactly haha
He could have also banished the invocation at the end so he couldn't get back Aliester to the hand for lethal.
Rhyme doesnt read tho 😂
@@mobydripp5853 how could he banish Invocation?
