I used this video to change out the water inlet valve in my Amana refrigerator. Great instructional video! I'm happy with the results, but more importantly, my wife is very pleased I was able to do this.
Nice, easy to follow. Sadly wasn't my problem. Problem turned out to be the supply line, one of those burst proof with auto shut off. It had quit working after six months. Oh well, my 19 year old fridge has a new inlet now :)
hi, My fridge leaks from where the filter connects to the pipe. Not exactly at the connection but just where the pipe connects to the coupling that connects to the filter . Please help
Whirlpool wrs586fldm01 side by side missing tech sheet. Any ideas how to get diagnostics or cross reference to other refrigerators? Ice maker has optical bin detector. Service manual would help. Anyone got a pdf? Diagnostics go from 1 to 46, but I can't tell what they mean. I already checked the hinge wires for shorts and continuity with a multimeter and needle probes.
I had to disconnect this thing for a different reason and when I put it back on (even after cutting off the ends) it drips on the top mounting one. Can't get it to stop dripping. Stupid cheap parts. Why can't they use brass compression connections that actually work. These stupid cheap plastic things. God I hate stupid corporations. Now I have to replace this whole valve thing even though it works fine. I don't want this plastic junk again.
You also cut out the part where you were not able to pull out the first top tube, because its a pain in the @ss to get off. Nice edit, instead of showing what really happens.

Greg O good that it was the valve and not the micro switch behind the dispensing lever!
Great easy to follow instructions! EASY FIX thanks to your step by step instructions!
Very helpful. Really appreciate your easy to follow instructions.
@Sam Reyes Thank you for the feedback.

My water dispenser was dripping so I changed this valve (thank you!). However, the water is still dripping! What else could it be?
Hi, where is the water dripping from? Please provide your model number for your refrigerator.
Actually, the water stopped dripping so I think I'm good. (It was dripping from the drinking water dispenser located inside the fridge.)
Mine is broken from top back help
thanks
We did this and ours still doesn't work.
Lisa Kelly on some fridges there can be a micro switch behind the water dispenser lever. There is a video online about that.
Still doesn't work.
