Thank you, thank you, thank you. Had a pinhole leak in the tubing at the clamp on the back. Once I realized the part I needed, I was able to replace it on my own thanks to this video. Thank you!
You're never gonna believe it but I got the same issue at my house. But I don't know I think mine is quarter inch tube on both ends. So for now I'm using the old tube I'm not gonna replace it, The only temporary fix we could do was put up bras O ring next to the stainless steel until today. when I could get to lowes and get a rubber O ring for the shark bite. And save any potential electrolytes is that may happen
My '02 Whirlpool, outlet hose from filter housing, did not go to the location where you routed. The hoses I received for the new kit are similar in size, whereas, the porting holes into water filter housing are dissimilar.
Great video try it last night but another situation was the ice door R/S hinge plastic was crack somI order a metal bracket housing hinge which is made for replacement took a Long nose plier bend left to right to break off Realign install with a adhesive tape Maneuver in place and press Wow came out great 👍 Door flaps and water dispensary great again luv u tube
I was able to do this w/o removing the valve or output feed, but you'll need small hands. There's enough slack in the line to get the filter housing out part-way where you can reach the 5/16" line to release it or replace it. I'd also check for leaks before replacing the front grill, if at all possible!
Itook out this housing to replace the water inlet valve, and now that I am putting the lines back, the housing is leaking like crazy when i turn the water back on. Leaking from both tube entries and when i replace the filter water shoots out of it! Does my housing now need replaced or am i doing something wrong? I've bever had this leaking before until now
You likely need either a new filter housing or need to convert the filter to a generic filter located in the back. Our 2004 Whirlpool's water filter housing's release collar, w/ 4-prongs to grab the incoming water line and seat it to the housing seal, broke...3 of the prongs broke off. Of course, no one sells just the snap-in collar, so one needs at least a new filter housing and likely a new output line, about $190. We decided to convert to a $20 "5 yr" generic filter using 1/4" brass fittings made for plastic tubing w/ brass inserts to support the plastic tubing while tightening the compression nuts. Works great. Do clean the fan and coils while it is apart...extends the refrig life and saves significant electricity. Coils seems to run the full front-to-back of the refrig, so we used compressed air but a vacuum in blower mode might work, also. Tough to clean the middle coils.
can you show us how to do the Model asd2575brw housing. Mine is leaking. It appears to be in two pieces, andI can't figure out how to get them apart. All the video's I've seen show different housings.
Hello sir I have a two-door whirlpool refrigerator, but it freezes in the freezer section and my husband changed the thermostat and the temperature level and we continue with the same problem.
Can you give advice on changing the inlet water tube on Whirpool model WRS950SIAM00? I was able to change the outlet water tube but the inlet tube seems to be inaccessible and I was told I would need to remove the back cover of the refrigerator. This seem to be ridiculous so please help.
In this video you are removing the tubing from the valve and put it back. Just wondering the reason for it. The new water line runs from front from the filter housing to back to connect to water line. So what is the reason for removing tubing from the valve in the back of the refrigerator and put it back? I have toreplace the in line tubing because i had to cu the 5/16 end which goes into filter housing because i could not remove it. I guess only option is to replace the tubing. I was wondering if i use 1/4 to 5/16 connector and create 5/16 end.
The tubing removed from valve in the back is 1/4" going into the filter housing assemblyin the front? So was it removed so that the housing could be pulled out in the front because of shorter tubing length?
I'm having some trouble with my water dispenser, but it seems through troubleshooting none of your videos are the root cause of my issue.. It seems that the dual water inlet valve is working, I tested it by disconnecting the valve-> water dispenser line. Water is definitely making it past that valve, but the tube that runs up into the middle of the refrigerator, and back down before coming out to the front, seems to be clogged, or just not passing water.. Is there any way to service this tube? I can share pictures via email if it's not clear what I'm talking about..
And that bracket that holds the line in the back is what cut into my line causing it to leak. Then the step up on the tubing OD so you can't just replace it with standard 1/4' tubing. WTF Kenmore...
You are exactly right tmar23 it happend the same thing to the tube of my refrigerator it is liking from the bracket area because the damn bracket cut it!!

Thanks so much!!! You made it so easy that I was able to fix mine in under 15 minutes. You are a blessing!!!!
Good that this video is so helpful because the instructions that came with the tubing basically just said to turn off the power to the refrigerator
Great video, as always, Steve & Parts Select! It sure is fun to do the repair yourself! Thanks for your help, i couldn't do it without you!

Thank You! Was able to easily fix our water dispenser after watching your instructional video!
What is the pet he is saying you have to push to release the line from the water filter ? Mine broke, trying to find a replacement
Thanks Steve. This video really helped me get the job done!

I have this model fridge and I can’t get the replacement filters to lock into the housing. Any advice?

Great instructions. The best I seen.

Ese mismo refrigerador no me despacha hielo y agua pero se prenden y apagan los foquitos del panel ..
saben cómo solucionarlo

I am not sure which tube you are referring. Where are the ends connected to?

Ashvin Patel I forwarded your questions on to Steve and will let you know as soon as he gets back to me with a solution for you.
Ashvin Patel The tubing is quite short and releasing it allows for easier access to the filter housing.
My refrigerador it is the same how can you help me please
