Then playing Bethesdas Fallouts and going bad to poorly written dialogue and only a few bad to mediocre voice actors. It's a shame they couldn't get the voice actors back after the dlcs, but it's understandable that they didn't have the budget. There's very few games made these days which have anywere near this amount of love and care put into them, especially from AAA studios.
I love how they made good use of them but didn't involve them in the advertising for the game, so their performances stand on their own together with the overall game. I don't know if they knew how well it would age but boy did it

He didn't hide that fact, we all have addictions and downsides and problems, but he worked hard to fight it and let us know everything. It really gives you a different perspective on the show Friends, because he was doing loads of drugs during the early seasons. Which explains why he was so damn skinny...I was heartbroken when I heard Perry died.

What’s really cool is that there’s so many recognizable people voicing these people, including one of the main characters from friends, but none of them were even recognizable as themselves, they all provided amazing and immersive voice work and made one of, if not the best games of all time. Fallout 3 has a direct path, like fallout 4, and IDEK where to begin with fallout 76. Bethesda completely changed fallout from little intricacies like molerats to the psykers, re-using the enclave and BOS in fallout 3 and completely ruining both factions, so on. Lol

I'd say VtM Bloodlines is a true magnum opus, but NV definitely deserves to be close. Recent years also gave us Disco Elysium and Baldur's Gate 3 both of which may be considered to be part of the conversation
