Revisiting this in 2022 and just like when this first aired, I'm convinced that there is no greater anime fight than this one. It pays homage to the ENTIRE series and tells a story of exactly how much Naruto and Sasuke have grown to this point. It evokes memories of when they were training for the bells for the first time with Kakashi, and how they struggled to work together, to being the absolute UNIT of a duo they are today. I'll love this series and its characters forever!

The first half of this fight with Reverse Situation Theme(remix) is a complete throwback to older generation. Many moments of the fight are nostalgiac.
@@saiyan_og9678 Kinda hard to care for that fight when people already knew the outcome of that entire arc, Dragon Ball rarely does anything that's genuinely surprising in its stories and fights to the point it almost becomes a self-parody of itself in how it structures conflict. Perhaps if the fight itself wasn't attached to a terribly structured story arc then it probably wouldn't have been so boring.
I like how their strategy is basically to never let momoshiki catch his breath or get his bearings, they're always knocking him around or forcing him on the defensive.

Perhaps if the fight itself wasn't attached to a terribly structured story arc then it probably wouldn't have been so boring.
