Not just that - I think Zetsu said it during the Itachi fight: it doesn't matter how powerful the tool is if it's not wielded properly. Sasuke is only looking left and right and ignoring attacks from above and below. He's being attacked from all different directions and his Sharingan can see Bee moving, but it doesn't give a tutorial on how to counter his moves. That's up to Sasuke's mind to come up with a strategy and his body to move and react fast enough not to die. And Sasuke isn't used to fighting opponents who are faster than he is.
@@lightningpastry2153 I was thinking it was something similar to that. The sharingan granted him the ability to see all future attacks/movements but sasuke would need faster reflexes or more strength to keep up with the abilities the sharingan grants him; good writing for an ability such as that, not too strong and has a reasonable flaw behind it as well.
I just love how Bee clearly knows the advantages of the Sharingan and instead of trying to plan around it, he instead straight up overwhelms it with sheer speed, unpredictability and skill.
He isn't just overwhelming it - he's literally turning its strength to weakness. Sasuke is insanely reliant on the Sharingan, Bee can tell, so he weaponized that reliance against Sasuke by overloading it and throwing in fake or unnecessary moves. Sharingan works best on efficient opponents focusing killing intent into each strike - when you start adding in random BS, it still tracks it whether or not that's what you should be doing.
@@Zangamarth "throwing in fake or unnecessary moves".Thats your headcanon,Bee was simply faster and a much better swordfighter, all the sharingan does is help predict the moves, just because you can see them coming doesn't mean your body and mind are fast enough to dodge or counter them.Sasuke got outclassed,Bee didnt even need to use any tactics here,it was just pure skill and speed at play
Sasuke body doesn't have enough speed to dodge all the attacks the sharingan was processing, thats why he was getting stabbed, he can dodge 5 attacks but doesn't have time for the other 3
@@Zangamarth Simple. Bee is a lot more experienced fighter than Sasuke that's why Sasuke can't read Bee's moves. For me, this is the best fight in all of Naruto and the best character introduction. Within a couple of scenes, we were shown an incredibly dangerous and at the same time charismatic hero. I still remember how shocked it was for me that the fight, which I imagined as a stage for demonstrating Sasuke's powerup, would turn out to be so fatal for him. You might expect the jinchuuriki to be dangerous in his beast mode, but seeing him in the base chopping Sasuke was just mesmerizing.
it's probably a subtle hint on how Sasuke went from cool headed in Hebi to lowkey insane "JUST SPAM AMATERASU AND SUSANOO ON IT" during early Taka and 5 Kage Summit. I think it's obvious that him getting Mangekyo made him even more emotional instead being the more rational tactical genius as he was
The part where he overloads the sharingon’s tracking is still one of the coolest things to ever happen in this show. Such a brilliant idea, it’s like so I heard those eyes of yours let u see everything, but how fast does your brain process it all? Is there a point where all the info becomes more of a hindrance then a help? Let’s find out! So cool
There's a lot of disadvantages to the Sharingan. For example, when Sasuke first fought Rock Lee. Sasuke was able to see what Rock Lee was going to do ahead of time, but Sasuke wasn't quick enough to keep up with Rock Lee so his Sharingan was futile. The Sharingan is also useless if you can't look into your opponent's eyes. For example, when Kakashi fought Zabuza the second time on the bridge and Zabuza used the Hidden Mist Jutsu.

It seems that way when you ignore/overlook context. Sasuke was still weakened from the Itachi battle (chapter 415, page 12), and held back because he needed to capture him alive for the Biju. Once he stopped holding back so much he easily turned the tables. MS Genjutsu had Bee on the ground paralyzed, and Amaterasu devastated them when they completely transformed. Bee then run away because he was low on stamina, against Sasuke, who he deemed as one of the toughest he ever fought (c419, p17)
@@Sasukeis6-0againstNaruto you're legit under every comment defending Sasuke, like chill. While Sasuke is a better shinobi, Bee is a way better swordsman than Sasuke

@@ItsPatBtw I wouldn't say better shinobi. At least Bee never overused dangerous techniques that led him to be physically disabled. Even Kakashi knew this, making sure to use the Mangekyo sparingly. Sasuke overused his like a child eating candy & wound up blind in less than a day.
You're a prime example of why I commented. Given the slew of context and facts that are overlooked. 1) Bee was confined to the village for years. He never left, let alone fought anyone. Besides, unlike Naruto, he was on good terms with his Biju. Horrible comparison. 2) Aside from Danzo, Sasuke used his Mangekyo as a last resort. Hence not one-shotting Bee with Genjutsu and Amaterasu as soon as he saw him. He was forced to use it at the Summit against people he never intended to fight (Kage, bodyguards, Kakashi) because Tobi told Zetsu to snitch on him. Otherwise he would have remained unnoticed, and confronted Danzo on the way back to Konoha as planned. 3) Kakashi overused his Sharingan all the time. Hence being unable to move/in the hospital after facing Zabuza, Deidara, Hidan/Kakuzu, and Sasuke. He should be blind from spamming it during the war. 4) Sasuke also used his Mangekyo already knowing he could overcome blindness with EMS.

@@Sasukeis6-0againstNaruto I like how you're completely disregarding the fact that if it weren't for Sasuke's team members backing him, he could've quite literally died multiple times over. If it wasn't for suigetsu, Jugo and Karin, Sasuke would've died to all of the 3 attacks you mentioned. *"Sasuke was the one who held back too much and still won"* Sasuke lost lol. He required 3 other people with unique abilities of their own to greatly enhance his resiliance in battle. Despite the very clear arsenal advantage he had over Bee, he struggled greatly to the point of relying on Amatarasu and genjutsu (which Bee countered) and thus failed his mission of capturing Bee as a result. At the end of the day, Bee really didn't care about killing Taka, all he wanted was freedom from the village.
Unlike you I didn't ignore anything. I acknowledged the circumstances, and said what happened. Rather than take things from anyone like you hypocritically did (take Sasuke's teamates yet not Bee's. Without Hachibi he is one-shotted by Genjutsu or Amaterasu as soon as Sasuke sees him. There wouldn't even be a battle). After the sword assault failed. Bee said he was done playing. That he would beat them and go home - c412, p16. Hence the lariat and Bijudama. That failed, and was wrecked by Genjutsu and Amaterasu then ran away due to being low on stamina. He didn't think about leaving the village until AFTER he was hit by Amaterasu.
The funny thing about this situation is that Killer Bee movements are more precise and thought out than Sasuke's Sharingan, who can also analyze the opponent's actions. After all, it turns out that the swordsman uses his head and his abilities so skillfully that, in fact, surpasses the innate skill of the Uchiha clan.

There's one thing i like more than Sasuke being absolutely defeated by Killer Bee, and it's the guy called "Sasuke is easily the best character in the series" crying over the whole comment section.
I love how Sasuke started the fight with normal eyes, then as soon as Killer Bee jumps; he blinks, Sharingans show up, and _even then_ there's too many blades for him to track in what is probably the weirdest sword-fighting assault he's ever been through. Awesome stuff.

I just noticed how Itachi (when he was a reanimation) kept his distance from Bee when they fought; Sasuke decided to stay and engage in close combat. Itachi knew the Sharingan can't follow such erratic movements and used ninjutsu and genjutsu, all the while learning and studying his opponent. Shows you just how much skilled and smarter of a ninja Itachi is than Sasuke. EDIT: I didn’t mean the Sharingan can’t literally follow the movements but rather it’s counterproductive; Sasuke was trying to read every little muscle movement (micro view), Itachi just saw a mad man with 8 swords (macro). Basically information overload. Itachi knows when to use the Sharingan to analyze small details and when to see big picture, Sasuke didn’t at this point.
Sasuke was testing him by fighting him. I do the same thing. Not the smartest tactic but sitting back and watching doesn't always get you the most accurate read on your opponent and their reactions... Of course, neither does taking 4 swords to the torso.
Finally, someone decides to point this out. Animation quality difference aside, it was good to see that this particular point was clearly demonstrated in Itachi's fight.
If you pause at 2:14 you can see that Sasuke was legit scared for his life. That just shows how powerful Bee really is and the other thing is that Bee is a jinchuriki and a ninja, yet he didn’t use any jutsu, no jinchurki chakra. Just his swords.
He was fighting smart given his experience & skills. He deduced all their abilities in the fight - strengths & weaknesses. It's one of the reasons this fight is so good.
(yup with the Sasuke fanboys trying to defend he was 'holding back'. in reality B didn't take the fight seriously and Gyuki implied he threw the fight to have a legitimate escape to disappear from the village).
@RandomGuyOnTheInternet46 I dont know man I feel like killer bee was lowkey glad that naruto picked up the jinchuriki torch cause he wasn't even about that shinobi life like that
This fight scene is wayyy too sick, and I love when he says “float like a butterfly”, also when he lands his attack and has everyone shocked, and when we get those quick shots of Sasuke getting cut. This entire scene is just gold honestly
Jesus. Imagine the insane muscle control and discipline that used to hold, throw and catch the swords, while at the same time moving and knowing when and where he throws, catches and holding the knives! I know it's fiction and all, but IMAGINE if this was a fighting technique in real life?!
I love how Sasuke learned literally *_nothing_* from this battle. he went into the Kage summit with the same confidence, completely overused his Mangekyo, and was forced to use Itachi's eyes even though he swore not to.
It was the fight he started to learn to use his own Mangekyo for the first time, which led to him maturing it in such a little time in the Kage Summit. By the time he almost lost his vision, he fully matured his standard Susanoo But yes in character he learned very little In killer Bee fight he did felt like fighting in Team 7 again after seeing how Taka risked their lives for him But after that it went downhill from there as Sasuke’s Darkness regressed his character more and more leading to him needing the EM to preserve his vision and get stronger
Well, Sasuke was quite literally AND figuratively blinded by his wrath throughout the Five Kage Summit arc. He was too desperate to exact his revenge on the one's who made Itachi to do what he did. He only got his cool back after getting some closure with Edo Reanimation Itachi during the War arc.
All of the little touches in this fight. The instant activation of the sharingan when B begins his assault. The tracking of the eyes gradually becoming overwhelmed by the number of blades and fighting style in close quarters. The look of surprise when Sasuke thought all he had to do was cut through with a lightning streamed chakra sword only to be met with the same. Beautiful.
So late into the series , I didn’t expect kishimoto would be able to introduce such a likeable badass like killer bee into the series. He became a fan favourite so quickly
Killer Bee's fighting style looks like the creators put toothpicks in a tinfoil ball, threw it at someone and were like: "Let's make that a ninja." And I love it.
Killer Bee is so incredibly full of puns and word play I can't take it. He's named "B" because he's second to "A" (the raikage) He's got the Eight Tails, which is pronounced Hachi-Bee (normally spelled Hachibi in english) "Hachi" also means "Bee" the animal in Japanese So he name's himself Killer Bee to reference the animal, which is then a reference to both "eight" (hachi) and "tail" (bi), even though his name actually references the letter B coming after A I just love it is all, thanks for coming to my lame Ted talk lol

If he came at Bee solo then obviously he would have used different tactics. Like instead of engaging in close combat with Taijutsu, he could have used Genjutsu and or Amaterasu safely from a distance. The latter solo's Bee 1v1 without the Hachibi, and the former does so even with it.

i love this part of the fight. It shows that the Sharingan, while powerful, only has the _reputation_ for being unbeatable. Here, especially at :48, you see that the Sharingan can be overwhelmed by sensory overload. Sasuke barely saw Bees' overhead kick until it was almost too late because his eyes were busy tracking Bees' sword movements. the Sharingan is still an eye and has a limit to how much it can process and track at once. Dealing with speed, technique, unconventional movements, switching attack patterns and multiple directions simply takes too much time to process.
There's the real kicker though. The human brain can only process so much and no matter how much you train, there is a hard limit on how quickly you can react, redirect and respond. The Sharingan simply outpaced it's bearer. Which lowkey also gives credit to Sasuke in spite of those limits, because I doubt many other Uchiha could have avoided Bee's relentless assault for as long as he did.
Compare this scene to Madara vs the shinobi army and you get the idea that the sharingan is a tool, whose strength and capabilities are based on the wielder

He sure did, Sasuke actually thought he needed Biju power to destroy Konoha. From facing Bee who was one-shotted by Genjutsu, then Amaterasu along with Hachibi (which made him run away low on stamina - chapter 419, page 17) Sasuke realized his Mangekyo power was enough to destroy Konoha (c417, p8-9).

At this point in time, when Naruto wasn’t dragon ball Z with absurd power-scaling, this fight perfectly portrayed the power of a perfect jinchuriki. It was always really interesting to see Sasuke get knocked down a peg so outstandingly at this point in the series. I'd like to believe it was the power getting to his head that caused him to not be more cautious with his opponent. That, and he was simply just waaay out of Bee's league. Knowing B, he was probably working his way up to 8 just for the cool factor.

I love how he came up with a sword fighting style that was seemingly designed specifically to overwhelm even the Sharingan’s tracking prowess.
That part where sasuke tried to sharingan his way through bee's sword only to get kicked is priceless
@@lightningpastry2153 Like with Rock Lee. He can catch a glimpse of what faster characters can do but cannot react in time
And nearly caved in his head like a pumpkin lol

*"Sasuke was the one who held back too much and still won"*
Sasuke lost lol. He required 3 other people with unique abilities of their own to greatly enhance his resiliance in battle. Despite the very clear arsenal advantage he had over Bee, he struggled greatly to the point of relying on Amatarasu and genjutsu (which
Bee countered) and thus failed his mission of capturing Bee as a result.
Bee's Sword techniques are so damn smooth and precise the even the three tomoe sharingan couldn't keep up.
The Sharingan could keep up, but Sasuke couldn't.

Itachi knew the Sharingan can't follow such erratic movements and used ninjutsu and genjutsu, all the while learning and studying his opponent. Shows you just how much skilled and smarter of a ninja Itachi is than Sasuke.

Basically information overload. Itachi knows when to use the Sharingan to analyze small details and when to see big picture, Sasuke didn’t at this point.

@@bagelbramble7335 half of shippuden was 4th ninja war. soo yeah it was late.
Killer Bee's fighting style looks like the creators put toothpicks in a tinfoil ball, threw it at someone and were like: "Let's make that a ninja."
And I love it.
Ok bubby
ye, im so mad Kishimoto didnt give him more sword fights
thats a good analogy
It's like fighting a porcupine
Killer Bee is so incredibly full of puns and word play I can't take it.
He's named "B" because he's second to "A" (the raikage)
He's got the Eight Tails, which is pronounced Hachi-Bee (normally spelled Hachibi in english)
"Hachi" also means "Bee" the animal in Japanese
So he name's himself Killer Bee to reference the animal, which is then a reference to both "eight" (hachi) and "tail" (bi), even though his name actually references the letter B coming after A
I just love it is all, thanks for coming to my lame Ted talk lol
ALSO, in Hip-Hop, there is a rap supergroup called Killer Bees, branched from another rap supergroup, the Wu-Tang Clan. Killer Bee could be an ode to them, especially since he rhymes.
Wow, that's interesting
Thank you for presenting I know I didn't need to know that but it's interesting af
Hey! That wasnt lame thanks for the info. You rock
Bee is my absolute favorite now.
Tobirama watches this eight times a day.
The amount of plot armor Sasuke got was invincible
Bee had basically killed him twice and was about to a third time when he gets Amaterasu'd to the face. Plot armor SO thick
I mean is it plot-armor though? He came prepared, I don’t know why people say his fight with Deidara is plot. After the fight, Suigetsu said that Sasuke told him to unleash the scroll if anything went wrong, that was his backup. Deidara was the real idiot for blowing himself up. Right here, we already knew Karin could heal so why are people calling it plot-armor, and Jugo’s explanation made sense. It’s obvious you guys haven’t seen real plot armor in anime. That’s why I love Sasuke’s battles, he always comes prepared and has incredible foresight unlike our favorite knucklehead.

Since you want to go with that "what if" scenario, don't be hyprotical about it. By taking away Sasuke's allies yet not Bee's. Without Hachibi Bee gets one-shotted by Genjutsu or Amaterasu as soon as Sasuke makes eye contact with the former, or sees him in general with the latter.

@@granchranch1503 Every important character in fiction has plot armor, so why make excuses for Naruto?
@@cheeseburgerfreddy6350 I’m not necessarily making excuses for him. If anything plot armor as a whole is a whack concept because it’s fiction so obviously everything is gonna be controlled by plot. My problem isn’t so much the plot it’s whether or not the plot is good (from personal viewpoint that is).
Idc how u write ur story and what plot devices u use as long as in the end it makes for a good story. @Ellie Williams i didn't know having an opinion makes ur life trash
Sasuke: How many swords you gonna use to fight?
Killer bee: Yes
i love this part of the fight.
The sharingan is virtually useless if you're to slow to actually do something about it
Sharinggan is useless if u dint know what to do next
There's the real kicker though. The human brain can only process so much and no matter how much you train, there is a hard limit on how quickly you can react, redirect and respond.
The Sharingan simply outpaced it's bearer. Which lowkey also gives credit to Sasuke in spite of those limits, because I doubt many other Uchiha could have avoided Bee's relentless assault for as long as he did.
Compare this scene to Madara vs the shinobi army and you get the idea that the sharingan is a tool, whose strength and capabilities are based on the wielder

Bee: Im about to end this man's whole career.

Watch the whole fight sasuke wrecks killer bee. He put an amaterasu on him and he had to fake his death
@@maxwu4145 He faked his death because he wanted to pursue his rap career not out of any fear of Sasuke. The fact he had a method of avoiding the Amaterasu by detaching parts of himself showcases he could have easily continued the fight but by that point had lost any interest in fighting such a relative weakling.
stop being a fanboy and accept that if team taka wasn't there, sasuke would die

He almost died 2 times and his friends or team members whatever you wanna call it they saved him

We see him so calm and collected while facing Deidara, and he consistently made Deidara look foolish. But here, if it weren't for his team, Sasuke would've died like 2 or 3 times over.
