I have a soft spot for this singer. Essentially a dark rather small voice singing dramatic coloratura pretty well but has expanded her range of roles enourmously. And that is through hard work in order to develop and expand her resources. And her voice still functions the way it should. There are bigger more traditionally beautiful voices going to pieces after a few years... But this singer knows how to do this apparently. If her voice was bigger she could sing Ortrud, Elektra and Isolde because the colour is there. And I’m not sure she won’t do those parts. She’s sung Chrysothemis, Lady Macbeth and Salome...
She keeps getting worse and worse... Never found a repertoire she is really got at with all this jumping from one unsuitable role to another. And started out so promising...

Better than in the past! Less caprino and the voice is more developped specially the chest voice! Brava!

along with baker and varady , alexandra pendachanska was by far the best and overwhelming vitellia on the stage! (berlin staatsoper)
