A wonderful actress with a beautiful voice rare in opera even with the greatest voices Callas is unique and will never be forgotten
We have found no one to replace her, and we never will. 🥹♥️😣🥺♥️♥️♥️
In my opinion, she’s the greatest singer to have ever walked the face of the earth.
Amen to that!
JA, so ist es !!!🎉✨️👍👍
Agreed
I do agree. Mr.
We haven’t heard those that sang aeons ago …
*_She didn't have to say one word for her to express every single emotion, it was all in her face alone..._*

I always wish we had a full recording of her as Elisabetta in Don Carlo
Gosh, she was so extraordinary…
La più grande. Sempre.
Bravo bravo bravo bravo genial grandiose fantastic vocal
Il canto eterno, il canto immortale. Divina 💖🌟🌹
Perfection.
It's great that there is video and you can see, hear and enjoy it!!! Divine performance!!!
Maria Callas is forever in our hearts!!! 💖💖💖
Everything she sang become different and iconic.
She become what she sang.
Goosebumps every time
Yes!
I love the Callas-Prêtre combination so much, their Carmen remains the opera recording I listen to the most
⚜ Forever missed! Forever loved! ⚜🕊
Only a woman who had suffered could sing and act like that🌹🌹🌹
Celeste Maria.Allow me the subtitution please
Have you watched Martyrs recently by any chance?!
I agree
Only a true artist could understand without suffering anything at all.
What a marvelous gift, thank you ❤️
I think this may be the first time I've heard a recording of her singing. Absolutely unreal!
Maria Callas 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I've watched this many times but I just noticed near the end of the aria, her brooch fell off from her gown and you can hear the drop of the brooch on the stage floor. This doesn't interrupt her performance at all and audience hardly notice.
🇧🇬💐DIVA!!!🍀🌺🍀🌸🍀
🌹WONDERFUL,👌 PLATINE INTERPRETATION!!!🍀🐘🍀 🏵UNFORGETTABLE!!!!💞🎼🎶🎵
Muchas gracias❤❤❤
no words can express the woman she was and still is, for people, and for music. Maria Callas.
In ginocchio.... 🙏
Impossibile ascoltare, e guardare, senza tremare, l'anima profondamente scossa 🙏
The legend!
THE BEST. LA DIVA ❤
Divino!
Divina ❤
Was gibt es Besseres, Schöneres an Gesang!!?
This is one of the most dramatic and vocally most difficult role in the operatic repertuar, The year is 1962 and Callas voice is still so full, powerful and "flows" like untamed wild river, despite some "critics" ridiculous judgments that she lost her vocal power. She never did! From the first orchestra's notes her face expresses such pain and anguish of Elizabeth...She didn't even start singing, but she was already deep in the image of Elizabeth. Because she was not just phenomenal opera singer - she was also an extraordinary Artist. She lived with the music and follows the music with her soul...
Wie wundervoll gesagt!!! GROßARTIG !!!✨️👍👍
🕊🌟🕊
This is
ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING

At this time she decided to live in Paris...then she sang Norma and Tosca at Covent Garden in 1965....then the legend started.
A terrific actress even in concerts 🌹🌹🌹
I don’t think she ever acted…
@@BambiOnIce19 Whaaaaat 😖😖😖.....sure she did, Medea the film by Pier Paolo Pasolini

Unico amore nostro Maria!
UNICA.
Maravilhosa 👏👏💯🇧🇷
Maria Callas never lost her amazing voice. What she lost was her confidence as a diva, which eventually made her live as a recluse in Paris. It is sad to realize that a well-known diva like her had to lead such a tragic life.
I wish she had gained her confidence when she gave her lessons of Master Class at the Juilliard School in the early 70s.
❤👏BEST OF THE BEST !!
Probably the best woman singer ever.
Merveilleuse CALLAS 🎉
CALLAS ETERNA
The greatest
She should be 100🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Bravissima

Allora ho sbagliato.
Dovevo scrivere "non ti piace l'Arte!"
Richtig, ich denke genauso!! Ich liebe auch Maria Callas!!❤❤🎉🎉👍👍
🌺
You keep thinking she’s going to start, then she doesn’t. She finally gets it on at 2’55” . Worth waiting for, though !
No. Many of the biggest arias of an opera have a 1 to 4 minute intro of just the instruments, no vocals.
@@mistersmith1883 opera is and always was a very corrupt medium - almost as bad as modern media but not quite that bad.it’s just so sad that more artistes of Callas’s calibre didn’t have the strength to say “NO”
@@johnlawrence2757 I believe you. I read a lot about the opera and it's history to modern day
@@mistersmith1883 Not necessarily. The orchestral introduction of this aria just sort of also functions as a prelude to the last act of the opera, as the character enters a monastery lost in her thoughts to a reprised version of a motif chanted by monks in the opening of the first act. It depends on the context whether an aria gets a long instrumental introduction, no introduction at all, or is introduced by recitative
I love the long preludes to get me in the mood of the aria

Chi meglio di Verdi? Chi meglio di lei?
Kuimba kwakanaka.
Giuro eterno d'amor là Dio da me ascoltò,

Stona? Dove?
She's great here, but best singing was Tebaldi and even Millo. Tourists get overexcited and should see there is a world out there beyond one popular diva
Callas is a she !!
