    Well you made light work of that part of the build and even plasted the walls with pictures and sills under the windows and somewhere to sit while the trains go bye. The train spotters are biting their nails. They have their books and pencils at the ready. Just waiting for the green light. Martin. (Thailand)

    Another great video! Like you, I also enjoy doing building interiors. I made my own wallpaper, using paper and color pencils. Made my walls with balsa wood using wood stains from my dad's garage. I made my buildings with removable roofs and ceilings so one can view the interior. Nearly all my builds are 50 years old. Though I no longer have the layout but still have most the buildings. When I see your builds it takes me back 50 years. Bill and Janet from California

    Love a Friday night with a video from Tony! I noticed that lovely fireplace in the waiting room and got to wondering if you've made any of them have a flame effect with a flickering LED? I'm thinking they could easily be sourced from those acritical tea light candles.
    Amazing show of skills and an eye for all the details as usual Tony, can't believe you've made paper towel dispensers to scale, simply awesome what you think of to take it to the next level.

    Dear Tony, beautiful is the word! Love the way you built the towel dispensers for the ladies. A marvelous idea to make such a dispenser, just some pieces of card and a sliver of kitchen towel does the job. Well, I would say that these demand for the other version to be modeled too. You’ll know, the ones with the pull out towel, which automatically rolls up again.
    Beautiful how the sinks are made and placed on a separate spatter board. Love the mirrors too. Just a question on those, did you use aluminum foil or tape? For me the tape works much better, before mounting it, it can be easily straightened and made flat with a small brayer. Whilst mounting the tape can also be more easily adjusted to the surface it is mounted on. Even think it should be possible to create a faceted mirror with the aluminum tape.
    Simply awesome how you did the ticket stamp machines. Remember those you made for the South Shields station. Kinda funny that Sid now has the newer model.
    On the lights, like I said before, love the way the different interiors add to the lighting aspect and further enhance the character of the building.
    Very cool what you said last week in your reply, on the way you consider the Tyne Dock station part of the back drop. Can’t agree more, definitely with the mainlines just behind it and the open sky of the harbor front right behind the station. Am wondering if you have any photographs of the views into the harbor over the tracks? Might be interesting to add some harbor lights and possibly N scale, or even Z scale details, like some kind of light tower just in front of the backdrop. Humbly think that would further enhance the backdrop effect of the Tyne Dock station as you’ve mentioned! Cheerio

    • @TONYNORTHEASTERN
      @TONYNORTHEASTERN  5 месяцев назад +1

      Good morning Vincent. I like your idea of the back drop to include some lights just to add some depth beyond Tyne Dock Station. maybe a couple of flashing white LEDS for the light houses would do the trick.
      we are always continuing to develop how we look at ways to make components for the railway. and the ticket machines is just one of them. anyway we have a delivery of furniture due this week. many thanks for commenting my friend. Cheerio Tony.

      Hi Stephen, i am not sure when the roller towels came in. but the same principal can be used for making those as the ones made in the video. 3 pieces of 1mm card with the paper sandwiched between the middle card. thanks again for commenting. stay safe Tony.

      Hello Tez. i only remember the station as very small lad. getting on the train to see my gran who was in Newcastle at the time. it was cold and damp and i remember the DMU head lamps being so bright as they came towards the platform. and the sights and sounds at Newcastle central station was the highlight of the evening October 1971. i was only 5 at the time.
      i think that was the only time i stood on the old station platform. mostly we would get the train from shields. thanks again for commenting. take care Tony.

    I am inclined to think that some of the gents will be to interested in football and pints of beer, to be worried about if there are hand towels. But on the other hand I am sure that Sid does not want to incure any complains, be they from Mr Whats is name, probably about the grouting, or the milkman caught short. I am sure Sid will be pleased with the end result of the project, and Two Thum Bob, will be happy about the overtime, to get the job done. I expect it will pay for Quite A few CAMRA Trips to different berries and Tap Rooms, to sample local tiples with the lads. Personally I love the level of detail that Mr Easton has put into the work, and I may well consider taking a train up from the Midlands from Birmingham to Tyne Dock, to have a look. i just hope that I do not have to encounter that dear lady by the name of Mrs Simms, trying to peddle her home grown onions, on the train. But I am sure that she means no harm.
