Replaceable batteries would be a nice upgrade.
So if it is inevitable that the battery deteriorates why isn't it made replaceable? Why condemn an expensive piece of electronics to an early demise because one component has predictably reached end of life?
I have been extremely disappointed with my Packtalk Edge battery capacity. Hoping that Cardo gets the act together and offers an update to make it actually usable for more than a few hours. Replaceable batteries would be great (I would happily buy a few). I have been pretty happy with the overall communication experience other than the battery and would love to have a bit better range.
I have a 3 year old Bold and 1 year old Edge, both still go all day.
Is the battery replaceable ? This seems to be a major point of contention with mobile phones , as yes we understand the performance of a battery deteriorates over time , but there’s a simple way to give a device a new lease of life 😃

Never will happen. The consumer market demands thin, light, and simplicity. Replaceable battery is a relic of the past that I too liked, but has gone the wayside.
Most devices don’t have replaceable batteries as the vendors want you to waste resources, throw away a perfectly good product in a landfill and then buy a new one for $500 when all you need is a $50 battery.
@@LTVoyager Kinda my point , Here we have Cardo , telling you how to make the battery last as long as possible , while holding a "replacement" in their hands. Hoped they'd comment , but maybe I'm being naive here
buy battery online, u can replace it upsell, but it’s complicated.

We do group ATV rides in WV and always say Cardo's worth the cost. Sometimes getting everyone set up can be challenging. If anyone ever moves it to Bluetooth instead of mesh good luck, it can be a chore getting it back to mesh. Love that once its set up it works, and works well without having to always add people to the group. I can say if using around 32 degrees life is much less then a 60 degree riding day. Great product though

Cardo battery performance sucks and they degrade way quicker than other batteries like Canon camera batteries. At least with those you can buy replacements whereas Cardo makes you buy a whole new unit...that's lame. Cardo you need to do better, even if just offering a reasonable battery service for your units once they're out of warranty.
Can a Cardo unit be left stored on a battery charger?
Great unit. However your customer (me) wants an easy replaceable battery pack such as the use in small drones that have a very small mini plug vs having to use a soldering gun. In fact its hard to understand why an engineer would design it without a mini plug?
I was fully expecting at least a mention of the Eco Mode on the PackTalk Edge.
Hello, can anyone explain why in my cardo connect app it doesnt show the bluetooth audio mixing option?
Both Freecom 4x and Cardo are updated.
Is it because I've never connected to other unit?

Another factor in battery life is the quality of the battery. Far too many batteries fail or have poor performance, even if they are looked after properly. Cheap batteries are usually poor quality, as lots of equipment manufacturers are starting to find out. 🤔
I'm sorry but there's no such thing as mA per hour. It uses 55 mA of power which in an hour is 55 mAh. Please get your units correct, it's very frustrating.
Worst build quality. Without any external damage the roller fell off while riding because of this my Cardo got water damaged and worst part is there is no option for repair
6:31 How are we supposed to know exactly what's the best charger for the device when you and most smartphone manufacturers NO LONGER include the charger?! This really ticks me off! We spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars of high quality electronics nowadays and it seems nobody wants to include the correct charger and expect us to know what's best for that specific device! What wattage charging rate is best for the CARDO PACKTALK EDGE? I don't even know! It feels very greedy to charge such high prices for these devices, but don't include a charger! All we get is a short 6-inch charging cable and a detailed manual on best battery practices! Thx for nothing!

Sick to death of the battery life on both my edge’s . Get about 2 hours and it’s giving me low battery warning.
Also the plastic is disintegrating on its own bits keep falling off .
My pals £50 Chinese made intercom lasts all day and he’s had it a couple of years also had an off with it .
Cardo are Just another company using the Apple approach, make cheap ‘ bring out new every year ‘ rinse as much money out of the consumer as possible.
