  • 🎞 In 2011 Sofia Municipality 🇧🇬 bought 24 used trams Tatra T4D-C (4 of them for spare parts) and 20 trailers B4D-C from Halle, Germany (1009 mm gauge) 🚋
📅 In this video we show the delivery 🏗️ of the first batch of 8️⃣ trams from 22.05.2011. The rest have arrived in the following months.
Nowadays almost all of them are scrapped due to bad maintenance 🤕 and renewal of the fleet.
ℹ️ These trams were built as T4D between 1981-1986 and modernised between 1992-2004 when been renamed to T4D-C.
The very first T4D tram was delivered in Sofia in 2000.
🔢 List of trams in this video:

    1171

Interesting video! The video quality is really good, especially being from 2011, so no worries there.
I unfortunately wasn't able to ride on these trams in Sofia, even though I visited the city many times in the late 10s and early 20s; that's because they started retiring them already in 2018 and now there's only one (1175) left as a track-checking vehicle, or something like that. Well, at least you still have the Düwags from the 1960s - another reason for me to visit Sofia soon again.

I am happy you like the video.
Yep, there are a few Deuwags still in operation, due to lack of new 1435 mm trams to replace them for now.
