I saw this movie in theaters and was so shocked walking out. I loved it so much and immediately went to buy the display poster. Like you, i can't really explain why i loved it so much but it was fantastic. I was also less immersed in the beginning and had to work towards paying attention, and in turn, missed a bit of the nuance that came together in the end. Absolutely amazing movie for real. Ive seen 18 movies in theaters this year so far, and this one was the second best for sure, close first.
Loved the film. It's like an arthouse version of eternal sunshine. Excellent acting. Had Lynch vibes in 2014. This film needs to recognized and rewarded. The 1910 bit dragged...but everything else was a dagger to the heart. Great film..
I am a big fan of horror and scary movies, and it’s been a while since I have seen a really good one. I went to the cinema yesterday and watch the beast thinking it’s a normal sci-fi movie. Oh boy, this is on top of my list of horror films. Plus, just at the scariest part of the second act, someone started knocking the wall in the entrance of the movie theatre, in a very creepy way that left everyone in the room completely spooked. It was horrifying. For sure it was someone trying to scare the shit out of us as a joke and he succeeded 😭. And plus, the lights of the cinema started flickering almost at the end of the movie. I’m still afraid and can’t stop thinking about this whole experience. But my reaction was the same as yours at the end. I just wanted to leave haha
I loved it. So, so much. I think maybe it’s just because I’ve dedicated a lot of time to the book Cloud Atlas, so I’ve trained myself to enjoy postmodern narratives where one soul reincarnates across time having parallel experiences as the protagonist of stories of different genres to explore the human condition.
Sorry i didn't finish your clip; an SF fan looking for something new. Appreciate the tip. Word-of-mouth is one way to find out where the next must-see film is, not always box-office receipts
That was such a terrible review. You barely went into what made the movie good, bad, great, or terrifying. All you did was kept repeating that it was “the greatest movie” you’ve ever seen over and over. Garbage.
The ending crushed me. I'm reluctant to make lazy direct comparisons but this ending matched the dread and shock of the end of Twin Peaks season 3.

This to me, this was the film my friends always told me they saw and felt when watching Lynch. I felt everything. Amazing film

Great and appropriate start of yours, and great piece of yours, again, from 7´13" ! I absolutely agree to the horror tone, I had the same experience.
It’s not showing anywhere within 700 miles of me here in Michigan…. But you convinced me
