I think with how Timmy wished to help Chester is a difference between selfish and selfless, difference in intent. There's a difference between wishing your mom was a great cook and her using that to win a cooking competition, and wishing your friend was good at baseball because he wants to make his father proud (which involves winning competitions). Even if he let his pride get in his head, his intent never changed. He didn't want to win, he wanted to make his father proud, therefore it wasn't cheating, as intent of using the magic power wasn't "winning". There are certain loopholes in the rules, Timmy just so happens to find most of them by pure accident (like how using magic to get better is forbidden by the rules in the first episode watched in this video, but using it to get opportunities to get better isn't).

Anyway, I have to say, as much as I would’ve liked to have seen Trixie’s whole thing about being a Secret Tomboy keep being a thing throughout the entire Show, I also would’ve liked to see the Show delve more into Veronica’s Mental-state, I feel like there were a lot of Characters with a lot of potential in this Original Show that never got a chance to be fully utilized.

Since you guys don’t watch DC (or lacking information about the DC universe and characters) the dad turning into a bucket of water was a reference to the DC heroes, “the wonder twins”. The sister could change into any animal while the brother turned into any form of water (ice, buckets of water, steam, ice cubes, etc). They had to touch to activate their powers and me and my dad would laugh at how useless/stupid the brother’s power kind of was. They were a part of the Superfriends tv show.

It is wild looking back on this show and realizing how messed up of a concept this actually is. We have parents who are constantly neglectful of their kid, a babysitter who is outright abusive, a teacher who is obsessed and spies on the kid, a kid who is continuously failing in school probably because of all of the above, and the entire time it is played for comedy.
So on the braces debate, I'd just like to say that while it is possible what Chester still has baby teeth. It is very unlikely with the way him and his father eat. However even if he did, his braces are towards the front of his mouth and if you have baby teeth still at that age, it's usually the harder to pull out molars. Reminds me of one time my dad was so worried about having to pay an extraction on one of my cracked baby teeth because it was a molar and harder to pull out. After that appointment he told me, " The Tooth fairy will give you $20 if you can get that tooth out yourself." I did and it still makes me laugh to think about years later.
I be like of course he can't wish for tickets to something sold out. The ice rink only has a set number of seats. Of course he could wish the rink had more seats and that he had the tickets to those more seats. Could also probably wish they'd do a second performance the next day and that he had tickets for that.
