@@c0hink176 I wouldn't call it a mistake though. It's more like the team was trying to put in as much as possible , when they realized that the deadline is closing.
Bro i felt the panic in that "let me out please!" As the door was slowly closing 😅 man they did such a good job with this part, i hate it so much lol the smallest detail like the doors moving slower than normal made that whole sequence feel like a living nightmare
It's rly cool how this entire facility is legit deep under the ground beneath NC. I legit felt that in game that it was deep on the earth, which added to that atmosphere!
I'm usually a huge pussy with horror but the ai was so bad and the small little hidey holes that the bot would easily see you in just took me out of it, I couldn't take it seriously
3:24 For those unaware you can in fact jump this gap fairly easily if you hop on the railing and do a sprinting double jump to the other side. If you climb up the stairs on the other end there is even a loot box hidden there.
If you side with Songbird the hole in the wall and the Millitech soldiers won’t be there. Appearance menu mod teleports you to the end of the facility but if you want to enter from the beginning, the small rectangular building behind the shop is the cynosure entrance so you want to try to access the buildings around it and reach it from there. There are cabinets above and a scav bunker but first I tried the large building to the left of the clothing shop (when you face it) and it worked first try without me dying. It’s the round tower on the map and it has 3 double doors. Despawn one of the doors and fall down, then you should see a burning car below, try to get there as it’s near the entrance but if you remember what it looks like you can go there directly. Of course you’ll need AMM and a mod that enables you to fly or jump infinitely. I also have “disable boundary teleport” in CET settings enabled but no idea if it’s necessary. Try not to fall down too much or touch surfaces in the tower building because it’s not a game location and you might die. I stood on a ledge and looked around and it was fine.
The area with the cars is likely the car park. It's the staff entrance and it's been collapsed in, as you can see rubble and steel girders. Essentially the front door to Cynosure was knocked out.
The diagonal lift and core scene really reminded me of Akira. Between that and the Ghost in the Shell spidertank fight, this DLC is such an homage to science fiction anime. Thank you for exploring Cynosure and discussing CDPR's tricks!
It also reallyyy reminds me of the inside of the Magi system in Evangelion, the one Naoko Akagi(sp?) is in. That’s what I thought of as soon as I walked into it in cyberpunk.
The large rooms (where the storage crates are located), are so big so there's space for the black shadow/background. That gives the illusion that the room is even bigger than it actually is, this is all done to make the facility look massive as it's suppose to be a massive operation
Its pretty cool to seeing this part. Especially since the rest of the map has alot of cut content or shortcuts. Just goes to show how much the dev team matured and were able to create such an optimized area.
IIRC, at the 3:50 timestamp, inside the silo, if you walk up the stairs, there should be a shard and some loot over there. The dev's left that for us to eventually find.
Forcing myself to do it again, missed the blackwall quick hand... Remember I first came to this mission at midnight n I thought be an "easy n fun final mission". 13:26 there is actually a shortcut in this room that will bring you past the locked door so you don't have to hack the other 2 terminals to proceed. You have to climb the ladders, be on the highest balcony and than you can slip into the vents, there is a little scripted event with the robot passing you, but that one is pretty easy to hide for. If you proceed you will enter the area where you have to run for your life.

Man, I love this kind of stuff! As a graphic designer, I love seeing how other creatives come up with visual solutions in different situations. CDPR folks are just incredible at what they do.
When I first got to the airlock bit I thought the door panel was a key code lock that I'd have to hack. There wasn't time for that, so instead I decided to hide behind the scissor lift next to the big blast door and wait for the Cerberus to go away. Well after a minute or so it did. And based on what happened next, I think it went through the airlock, looped around to the blast door, and opened it behind me. Just about shat myself. Also just about shat myself when those boxes fell over at 14:45, right there with you man.
I really can't believe how many incredible set pieces they put in Phantom Liberty, from the intro to Dogtown to the Space Port and Cynosure. It felt like diving under Neo Tokyo and discovering the remains of Akira for the first time.
Thanks so much for covering this since i requested it on a couple of other videos, i know you disliked the mission but it made my day to see an area in game i wish i could go back to.
Watching people play this, they were so terrified of this place, and I'll admit I outright refuse to play Alien Isolation because I think I'd be awful at it; but I think it looked relatively easy as a cover-to-cover hiding system and was really interested in people exploring this, so when people ran through it I kinda just lolled. Fair enough though I guess, that's why noclip exists. Alsoz it might just be because I've done this sort of boundry breaking before and understand how devs build these spaces, but once you know there's nothing behind the curtain it's pretty hard to get scared. So I just thought the Cerberus was really cool, like a Flathead all grown up. 😂 Also, having the rooms be much bigger than they need to be (the crate kinda storage room) is to create a feeling of more space. See, if the room was only as big as the crates needed it to be in order for them to fit; the light would bounce off the back wall, revealing the lack of textures and room, but the lights can't reach the back wall if you move it further back, giving it the illusion that it's larger than it actually is. Neat developer trick.
11:44 The extra space is to propagate the feeling of "it goes god knows how far" when you look at it. The distance/size of the cube makes the impact while combined with existing decoration, light and fog effects.
It's a practical thing as well like you said. There needs to be an air gap for the fog effect to manifest, otherwise you'd just see a dark wall on the other side of the containers
6:30 The section of the collapsed tunnel is a security checkpoint for entering cargo and logistics. 11:45 My best guess to the large warehouses beside the lore reason is because it lets the ambient fog hide the back wall of the cube without you being able to see it first. Making the room seem significantly larger even with its size.
The blackwall is actually just an image in the actual quest too. At a certain point some of the panels break when you shut something down and you see it’s just essentially a screen *showing* the atmosphere beyond the blackwall
The Arasaka Tower Arcade level is one of the few underground places that de-spawn if you don't interact with the arcade machine. Maybe you can try some modding or memory editing so it doesn't then make a video exploring it. Might even find a new secret who knows lol
At 18:10 in the mission, V is supposed to make their way down to the door way and in the red chamber area, V would momentarily black out then come to inside the sphere next to Songbird.
