How Bee's mum talks about Bee's life, disabilities, hobbies, gender, sexuality etc with so much compassion and understanding makes my heart so happy. Yes it's how every parent should feel about their children but unfortunately it's not always. She seems like a beautiful woman and mother and Bee seems like a wonderful person too. Our disabilities while limit us they don't have to define us. Also I hope Elizabeth doesn't feel too guilty about forcing Bee into school. As she said we do the best with the information available to us at the time and it's not as if doctors or the education system provide any alternatives and solutions to people who do fit the mold. 💖
Trust me, I have several chronic illnesses and people look at me strange when I have to rush to the disabled toilet due to my chronic illnesses. Sometimes I wonder if I need to have the disabled wheelchair sign tattooed to my forehead! before people will understand that not all disabilities are external. What a lovely family.
So true, I look healthy but have stage 4 cancer. My adult daughter has Crohn's disease and several other chronis illnesses. It's not only that people don't see her challenges, but even once they hear what she has she never gets the same empathy and sympathy people give me when they hear the big C word.
@@Hippiechick1321 Yep it's absolutely crazy. Yep I have Crohn's and other chronic illnesses and people just don't understand that you can have these issues. I'm sorry to hear about your Cancer though.
I honestly understand because before I had my walker people would never really know I have multiple disabilities and this one time in gym class we had one of those fitness test. And I can't run for a long time nor stretch my limbs (I have a rare form of arthritis and and two lung diseases and some other things) so told my gym teacher but she thought I was lying so she literally forced me to stretch my legs while I was tearing up from the pain (I can't scream). My classmates finally told her to stop and she did. Later I had to go to the nurse for my 504 plan and showed her. She went oh well you're failing this class. After multiple years of dealing with similar issues (one of which that got me kept back. I put myself in an online school. And if you're wondering where my parents were let's just say my parents are literally the absolute opposite of hers.

As a disabled queer person, I REALLY appreciate this mother even more, being so accepting of her children and being active in the LGBTQ community and being a disability advocate. We need so many more people like her! Far too often, our only spokespeople are people within the communities, and that's great to have them, but we need more Allies to step up and show their support, and be that bridge for people outside the communities to understand more and open their minds.
This is an Excellent video/documentary…. Invisible disabilities, especially when having more than one to cope with is very challenging! Watching the mother stand by he child, and learn without judgment, and give such positive ongoing support is truly amazing! Bea, is a beautiful, and talented youngster! There’s so much our societies need to do, while creating more inclusive environments for people with all types of disabilities, and for our LGBTQI communities as well!

Bee uses they/them pronouns. It's not that hard to be respectful. If you are a straight/ cisgender person imagine how you'd feel at being assumed gay and called he/him. Maybe you'd want to clarify that part too.

Bee seems like a very interesting and unique person; I think they’d be a great person to get to know over time. I admire their ability to vocalize their identity so well. I have the same problem with pronouns with my own child who is not a standard cis-gendered person. It’s not grammatically correct, but we can certainly change our thinking to accommodate everyone. It isn’t a big thing to ask of ourselves. I was so sad to hear they are so defeated about continuing with their education and finding employment, though. Every single person deserves an education, and we know that everyone has the capacity to learn. I think the school system did not know how to teach people with various intellectual disabilities, and as a result Bee feels like they failed, when in fact the school system failed Bee. Same for finding meaningful employment. Bee has plenty of skills, and they could be put to use helping others in a sheltered and monitored environment. Everyone has value, and everyone deserves a chance to grow and contribute to the world.
Using they/them pronouns singularly is actually grammatically correct! We use them all the time without realizing it. For example, the way Facebook will give you a notification on a friend's birthday, "it's (blanks) birthday today! Wish them a happy birthday"
@@noahb8730 Oh I know the usage has changed over time, since language is constantly evolving as we do. I am an older person who was taught very strict grammar rules in school, so it still feels odd to me. I think a lot of older people feel the same way, and it isn’t meant as disrespect. It’s just an old habit, but I’m working on it.
I mostly agree with you, but I’m not sure if they actually have an intellectual disability. Sure, cognitive disability, because their language and memory are impaired so it absolutely affects them cognitively. But to actually have an ID you have to score less than 70 on your IQ. But I know that ID:s are pretty stigmatized, so Bee may not mention that part, but I think Bee seems quite intelligent. But don’t trust my autistic brain on reading people...
What is taught it primary school is the simplest case; it is not intended to apply to every grammatical situation. Linguistics is descriptive, not descriptive.

I am amazed every single day and this family, this strong, pstient and wise mother and her unconditional Love should be a lesson to us all. Life is short, our children, our families are ALL that matter. Beautiful way to Love.
Honestly this is a beautiful faith! To be optimistic and face/manage obstacles without hurting oneself. Especially with understanding and fully supporting family members whose love looks a little differently than we experienced.
I have an invisible disability too and I absolutely do understand how Bee feels. I've been yelled at for using stuff like the disabled seat in public transport and not standing up when someone else who is elderly or disabled enters. I'm young and seem ok but I really am not. I don't live at home anymore and can be almost 100% independent, I can't carry heavy stuff so I always need to have some carry that up the stairs to my apartment for me but that's almost it. I also am alternative and queer, I'm nonbinary and not heterosexuell either. Bees parents seem to be very supportive and I'm glad they have this kind of bond.
I just love Bee's mom. She allows her daughter to be who she is (no pun intended ;) ); she is really supportive and helps Bee with whatever she needs. Kids need that more than anything in their lives.
Bee s parents are amazing.. So caring, understanding, open-minded, supportive and educated for their kids and their needs... And they are religious too.. And by telling that they are been supportive I don't mean only with Bee s health issues.. They are away and beyond that.. Real and excellent parenting skills over checked and couples goals too!! Thats for real THE (or their at least) Perfect Family...Congratulations to them...🎊 🎊 🎊 👏 👏 👏
Seeing their mom being so kind and patient with Bee made me both so happy and sad at the same time. I relate to Bee a lot on a few different levels but it makes me sad because I worry how life will be after their mom may no longer able to care for them.

Bee is so creative. ! Perrones you are a delightfully unique family. As for the terms and pronouns...enjoy the diversity and evolution. I say you have a "never a dull moment" life full of challenges that seem to have fostered incredible achievements.
Those methods like the board could help her be independent. She can have 1 million reminders to look at the board too. As well as other types of Reminders. She’s gonna want at least a stay at home job at some point. What happens when something happens to the parents? Sad truth.
You can tell the mother is very supportive and optimistic. I love that. Everyone dealing with disabilities should have this support.

I'm sorry that the only response to your comment was nasty and judgmental. You are an admirable person for continuing on despite your struggles. Good luck to you and I hope someday soon medicine finds cures for all diseases including yours!
Dear B’s Mom…you are an amazing, loving and incredible parent. You go B!
Mahalo 💗 Thank you Perrones family! Thank you for sharing your story Bee; you are well & truly supported with Aroha from your whanau! Ughh I'm too teary watching this! To the people who disliked this video, I hope you run out of toilet paper, and I hope you stub your damn toes every time you come cross a sharp corner. 😂💕💗
Bee is intelligent & adorable with great style, and Elizabeth is an incredible mom! This family is so wonderful and unique. 🦄🌈💕
Your outfits look so fun! Your doggy is cute. Your Mother is so loving.
Bee is an inspiration, there's no limit for this young lady. The parents Mom and Dad, are so loving and patient. It's awesome how the whole family support's Bee, when/if Bee sells her painting's I definitely want to buy one, and possibly more. She's very talented 💖 and Beautiful. Love her style.
Yep, they referred as singular is used since a long time!!
Beautiful girl and very Talented keep going with your drawing!!!
What an amazing mother! Bless her. Bea is lucky to have her.
THAT is the kind of mother we all need! 🥺💜🥰

Beautiful young lady and I love how her parents are so supportive ❤ Beautiful family.
That's an amazing family! I'd much rather watch these types of videos than the horrible negative things all over! This was interesting and positive...good job parents and big sissy!!!
Thank the universe for loving mommas & supportive parents 💜
I am so inspired by her and proud of her. She should have her own clothing line.
Omg this is the most amazing thing I’ve ever watched. Bee is so strong, beautiful and talented. Thank you for inspiring me 🙏💕
I love Bees style so much!!! They are so cute and so is their name 💛💛
Wishing them the of luck in their art career,as bee truly has a gift with great potential
What a loving and wholesome family. I wish them all the best. This was lovely to see them supporting bee and I wish her to be truly happy.
What a beautiful mum n dad... i love this family so very much!!!❤❤❤
Bee is amazing and same with the mother! What a loving relationship! 💜

Bee you’re a sweetheart and so strong!! What a Wonderful supportive family you have too! You’re so loved 🥰
They’re so sweet, reminds me of my Mom teaching me and my sisters to sew. Nice family, I feel so sad for Bee, but her Mom is wonderful. 💞
Their :)
What an amazing young person! Even at my age they are someone I can look up to. Much love!
Thats for real THE (or their at least) Perfect Family...Congratulations to them...🎊 🎊 🎊 👏 👏 👏
What great parents they have, so supportive. That's so great 💜
This was so inspiring. I would definitely buy that book when it gets published
Seeing their mom being so kind and patient with Bee made me both so happy and sad at the same time. I relate to Bee a lot on a few different levels but it makes me sad because I worry how life will be after their mom may no longer able to care for them.
Hi. Bees mum here. I thought you would like to know that bee is now independent and living with her big sister. I support her still in someways, but, they are continuing to learn new ways to support themselves.
Amazing family!
I love bee’s style is so cute and unique!
Mum and Dad you must be proud of how far your daughters come and you must be proud of yourselves she's come a long way
Hi bees mum here. I am very proud of Bee. They are continuing to grow and make me proud.
What a wonderful child! She is going to move on to do something great I can see it!
I have a lot of medical issues myself and would definitely purchase a drawing from her of a custom character representing my illnesses.
I think we want a Mum like your's , Bee you are so blessed with a family who love you just as you are.
That mother is a Saint in the making, wonderful parents Bee is very blessed!
I just want to say you seem like a really cool person I love your ALT style and I think me and you would get along great if only you lived in Ohio. Even if you don't I would hope to one day meet you. OwO
Hey Bee love your fashion sense. Makes up for the lack of mine two fold. Take care. :)
Bee, you’re super cool! Totally relate to living with invisible illnesses.
What lovely people. I wish them all the best. ❤️
Sad truth.
