This video left me feeling quite conflicted. The collection you purchased is loaded with books i would love to have. Each page filled with memories of autographs aquired at cons, friends made and above all a love of cartooning and comics. But.... To what end? To fill up storage units only to sell after ive come to terms with the reality of owning all those books? What was the point? Man, this video was cathartic. Seeing you so stoked for a collection you didn't put together. Looking for the value of each book and weighing it's flip-ability. im looking so forward to meeting Geoff Darrow at ECCC but man, this video really made me think about why am I going to this con at all. Also, Bellingham is a kick ass town .
You get it! I know it becomes daunting to collect especially when you have a love for comics that runs deep, but also if it brings you joy, it's a rare thing these days. I actually keep my collection slim when it gets too large, I know I have the advantage of selling books tho. I'm probably only going to ECCC cause he's there😂
"Bill McGovern you know you want this" must go through your head at least 10 times per collection 😅 Very nice collection here, will be quickly gobbled-up by the Davengerinos!!
We can agree to disagree, Todd even went on record that he handed the last 7 or so pages in the day it was due at the printer😂 At least spawn has some sense of story!
I was just thinking, “I’d probably buy that”. Although I did read it and it IS dogshit - I mean obvs the story sucks but the art makes it unforgivable. That sig is HUGE tho
Great pick up! I cringed when I saw the Long Halloween issues. Can someone PLEASE explain to me why Batman: The Long Halloween is considered one of the best Batman stories? Not only is this an overrated story…it is one of the worst. It should not even be mentioned in the same breath as Year One.
Because it’s one of the few comic story arcs with a beginning, end, and a consistent creative team? I’m 80% kidding! Sad you don’t like it because I do, but to each their own. Sale’s art isn’t for everyone and later readings have shown Loeb’s writing a bit repetitive, so I get it.
No Turok because he kept those in a safety deposit box at the bank. Not some dingy climate controlled storage locker.
That's what you're supposed to do with the greatest comic of all time
This is a serious collection! I'm a friend of the channel, people. Trust me.
You aren't just a friend but a member! Now pay your membership dues!😂
So many cool books! I love seeing such an eclectic collection.
Dave out in the field. This is what I live for!

Oh cmon Batman spawn 2022 wasn’t any worse than any random issue if spawn lol
We can agree to disagree, Todd even went on record that he handed the last 7 or so pages in the day it was due at the printer😂

Volunteer Park my boi!

28:58 😂😂😂
Step away from the Metal Gear comics and hand them over so nobody gets hurt 🔪😂
Those are surprisingly great comics and definitely unappreciated at the time. Ashley wood did some great work interpreting yoji shinkawa
@billmcgovern888 Ashley Wood is extremely underrated. I love the Acclaim Shadowman books they worked on. Beautiful art
Hey mate, I love the videos but you're pronouncing Bill Sienkiewicz's name wrong - Shen-Kev-itch ....
Question. Can a short box of modern books,(Say 90-present) be worth a $1000?
No
@@ccculture9681 Really not even say invincible #1 walking dead #1....
Purely depends on what's in said short box
Great pick up! I cringed when I saw the Long Halloween issues.
