In this video I will be making some simple yet effective stop dogs for my MFT style workbench. I will also be transforming my push toggle clamps so I can use them on my MFT style workbench. Both will work brilliantly together.

Hi Thomas, I bought some toggle clamps from the internetand when that arrived they were even smaller than the ones you got. That is the only problem with the internet, there was no size on the items and until I actually saw them it was not apparent that they were so small. Never mind I did something similar to you and managed to get them so I could use them.
Hehe I had something similar but the other way, ordered some small toggle clamps and they came twice as big as the ones I'm using. But in this case it was a bit of a bonus 👍
If your looking for better clamps that are larger look here www.goodhanduk.co.uk/Catalogue/Toggle-Clamps/Horizontal-Toggle-Clamps/Horizontal-Toggle-Clamp-Flat-Base-All-Arm-Types
Excellent build and video... I need something like that for a clamping system for my cnc
Thanks mate, it's well worth making 👍
@@CasualDIY just ordered the clamps 😊😊
Very simple and low costs . Regards
Thanks for watching 👍
Great idear. might build some myself!
Where did you find a 1000mm rod for that money?
Just looked through EBay.and thanks 👍😁
Thanks. Did you ever make a video about the thinner version?
Not yet lol🤣
Thomas, im only at the very start of my journey so still wet behind the ears. Today i got my MFT top but as for adding extras i could do with some pointers. Im a subscriber but only just got to this 1.Its 2 years old so guessing info is stale now. Any pointers, advice which direction i would appreciate it. If you get time. Thanks.
Hi Steven, It all depends on what you will be sing the MFT table top for? A track saw or general woodworking / DIY.

There you go mate: www.axminster.co.uk/hampshire-sheen-foodsafe-danish-oil-105130?glCountry=GB&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrfvsBRD7ARIsAKuDvMMOuvhHjOGejYhaHg62BE6m-EBCTNLAe9jLj4q4aqU6A2CO0_deDUgaAtuAEALw_wcB
Good stuff. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks mate, I'm Polish but live in the UK👍
Could you tell me the thickness of the threaded rod? I just ordered the clamps on Amazon but they don’t specify the diameter of the rod.
Hi the rod of my clamps is 4mm thick
En Français : THOMAS Tu es un geni !

Where do I get that awesome hoodie??!!!
I made one for myself on teespring.com 😁👍

Just cheap 5 minute epoxy off Amazon mate👍
I came across this twitte 2 days ago. It may be useful. twitter.com/Woodworklove/status/1182253876982030336
Your concern is the packaging of Epoxy? Really? Google it fool.
Can never get over how you all say aluminum in the UK.
Like your vids you know! but you know metewl filing should only work pushing foreward? not back & fore. keep on trucking!
Hehe thanks👍
Maybe change the feet to a block of oak with a threaded insert that will touch the table top
Yes that was my initial thought, but now came up with something else as well 😉
@@CasualDIY I look forward to it :) I also thought of a small block of SHS ( square hollow section ) , Mainly as I have a few bits in my shed.
@@elioth.g.w2976 yes there's so many cool things that can be made, all depends on your needs and what would work best for you👍
Very ingenious and clever. Suggestion - try and not use the word "basically" every 10 seconds - it doesn't sound right. Let the pictures speak for you.
I know right 🤪
Were did you get you aluminium rod from bud?
Just a random seller on EBay mate. Big choice so you need to shop around for the best price 👍
Like this one for example, I bought from him before. rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F293163136858
Thanks bud
@@spunkmeyer43 no problem mate
what is the size of diameter of that threaded rod?
Oh can't remember, I think it was 5 or 6mm
