Hi Tomasz
Enjoyed the Toggle clamp instructional video. I agree with you on the fiddley adjustments, nothing changed from years ago.
Theses clamps are a great way of holding work safely, quickly and repetitively for speed in a production environment.
That's correct and you can get them relatively cheap 😁👍
@@CasualDIY I have quite a collection of genuine 'TOGGLE' (trade name eg.Hoover etc.) clamps from the 1950's/60s. These clamps were used to hold furniture component blanks on to machining jigs. The jigs were used on the spindle moulders and overhead routers etc; well before CNC was invented. Thank You for replying I hope my comments are instructive to your subscribers. Tony
@@eyuptony yes thank you for commenting, knowledge is always welcome 👍😁 I bet those clamps will outlast any modern variations of them by a mile
Thats fantastic! exactly what i was looking for
Glad I was able to help👍😁
Great idea. Thanks
Glad you liked it, hope it will be some help 👍
these will be perfect for cutting leg designs on my table saw sled. i made a sled !!
show de bola! greetings from Brazil
Thank you! Cheers!
Great clamps, and good idea,a hug here from Portugal 👏👏🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
thank you kindly my friend :)
excellent upgrade!
Thanks, makes a big difference 👍
You were right, this is a nice upgrade, it seems to make the clamps work much more efficiently. I will be building a table that utilizes both the bench dog hole system, and the micro jig dovetail clamping system. I just wish those Micro Jig dovetail clamps weren't so expensive, but maybe I will start with just 2 or 4 to see how I like them.
That's how I build up my Bessey clamps, just two per month to ease it on the home budget. And in no time you get what you wanted 😁👍
Good upgrade, I think that knurled thumb wheels would be a better option rather than the wing nut as you can spin them faster.
Great improvements! You won me over, I subscribed!
Thank you kindly and welcome aboard 😁👍
That was most useful indeed thankyou.
Thank you very much for watching
great idea, thanx 4 sharing God Bless
Thank you for watching 👍
You are genius!!! (subscribed)
Hehe thanks
Nice little upgrade mate
Thanks, I had to do it as those clamps started to get on my nerves 🤣😂
Tomasz strikes again!! Great stuff buddy.
Lol thanks mate. I think there is a parcel waiting for me at home. Can't wait to see what it is🤔😁
@@CasualDIY Hope you like it!
if u drill a hole under the toggle clamp use an m6 or m8 threaded insert add your m6 or m8 bolt under it and adjust or cut it down in length as needed u can bin the two bolts altogether u currently use in the t track as the single bolt now acts exactly the same as your dog clamps do on your mtf workbench also if you use a much thicker peice of cls timber etc you can just use the longer length of clamp bolts to save all the faffing of changing over clamps i have also welded my m6 nuts to end of the adjustment bar so i can now just use a star knob to adjust clamping height since the modified clamp can now be turned in a circular direction it works fine hope this helps u upgrade when u can get in your new workshop all the best mate oh also t track by some 20mm x 10mm rectangle ali tubing use your table saw (or yes your router as it has carbide cutters THEY WILL CUT STEEL AND ALI BY THE WAY ) and cut the slot for the bolt width being used i use m8 bolts with my toggle clamps u may need to grind down width of the bolt head to help clear t track screw heads but this is a much cheaper option and will give u full t track length needed as tube at least in uk can be got in 2m lengths hope all this of some help to u will soon be putting vids up of my heavily modified rage 5s table saw in its enclosure pod with extended fence add on router table pod ,add on sliding mitre saw pod giving combined 10 foot table length and 7 foot table width with drop down table legs and electric jack up with combined homemade dust extraction with an added gas strut assisted flip up single bed on top sounds mental but in my tiny studio flat just had to do it lol good job im a fabricator welder of over 30 years :) all the best mate
Thank you kindly for your comment, very good ideas👍
Sorry Tomasz, I hate toggle clamps & see them as an industrial revolution invention because I’ve bought them & as you’ve explained they are work for quick clamp down, the Automaxx stuff is expensive but works brilliantly & another great idea is simple threaded hold downs.
Love your honest reviews buddy 🍻👍👍👍, Makers Central 2020 is going to happen, hope you enjoy that event next year
You need to come over mate! Got a spare room😁
Is it you or the object that’s to be focused on?
Brilliant job! What is the size of the toggle clamps you used?
Thanks, medium size. Although I would suggest to go for the large ones.
Nice video, love your channel, where do you get your bottles of epoxy? IV struggled to find bottles
Thank you. Do you mean the 5 minute epoxy?
@@CasualDIY hi Tomasz, yes the bottles, IV been looking for bottle epoxy for a while as the tubes don't last long.
What brand it is? Can you point me in the right direction?
@@scottskelton1991 sure mate, here's an Amazon link to the 5 minute epoxy I use. Hope it helps

Do you remember or have a link for the furniture feet. I've been looking high and low. What nut size did you use and thread, in inches please. I don't do metric LOL Thank you
Its M6 nut and M6 threaded rod, rubber furniture feet - amzn.to/3KTKwvh
nice upgrade just wondering how long the epoxy will last before it starts to come loose BUT FAB VID
Thanks, I used this epoxy to hold down my T-tracks. Had it several months and none of them came loose. But yes in this case it's metal and rubber so I'm curious myself how the epoxy will hold in this case 🤔
@@CasualDIY Which epoxy are you using please? I did follow your amazon link but couldn't see any. Many thanks
@@b24fitfitnessnutrition43 hi, this is the epoxy I use amzn.to/2LiQQwS
How do you add the inserts underneath for mft table?
You mean the t-track?
No the ones that slide in to mft table, I’ve just seen your other video so I know now. Thanks for the quick response
Or you could just use the auto adjusting toggle clamps by Bessie
Hmm yes but they are quite expensive 🤔
were i can buy in usa
The toggle clamps? Just get them on Amazon 👍
I cringed when you put the epoxied toggle clamps on the T track 😂
Still work with no issues tho👍
Instead of threaded rod why not just use a regular bolt. Since it's being epoxied into the rubber there's no need for adjustability on that end.
Yes you can do I just didn't had bolts that long 🤣
Great upgrades to toggle clamps. The item you have in your hand at 0.41min in to the video does not seem to be shown in your other video ( ruclips.net/video/o_4oyR-bmaM/видео.html) where you show how to make the DIY Stop Dogs and Dog Toggle clamp for MFT style workbench. Is there another video somewhere?
Check my pinned comment, I've linked three videos there all are with my toggle clamp upgrades.
Casual DIY. I have looked at your other videos and do not see the clamp you have in your hand at 0.41min in this video. The clamp in question seems to fit into a dog hole and then when the clamp is engaged the rubber foot presses down vertically onto the work piece, holding it tight against the bench.
@@grahambigland5154 this it the video with dog hole toggle clamp ruclips.net/video/MbbF8PIlcaE/видео.html
Saw the video in question, my apologies for wasting your time, the video was as you said linked in your original video.
@@grahambigland5154 no problem 👍
Toggle clamps should be screwed to the table beside the object.I made a Clamp that covers the entire table. Here is the link:

Hmm I just find your solution a bit in the way. Could cause more issues when trying to work with the piece of wood. Bu that's only my perception after watching the video. I would have to use it to see properly.
Pretty ingenious, but not sure it's worth all the trouble, especially when you don't have the equipment to build it..But, nice work
am i about to watch a Visual Politik Video?
No idea what you mean 🤣
@@CasualDIY i mean, with your INTRO MUSIClol. both love your channels though.
Do you really have to show us how SIX of the clamps can be upgraded?
I think you could have acheived the same thing with just one instead of having us watch all of them being changed. I'm sure most. of your viewers are smart enough to pick up your idea with just one example.
Potentially but 88 thousand people that watched this video somehow enjoyed it. Always room for improvement for sure, to present the information better.
