    He know what they're going to say and how they're going to approach him... He's kind, patient and listens to them, but he already knows their motivations and the "reasonings"...

    There was a movie where Anthony Hopkins said "I would never limit a person's life with Modern medicine" but this scene reminds me of that

    George was a kind, loving, caring, compassionate, man who loved life and everything it had to offer not unlike John Travolta!!!
    I would have told this "doctor" what he could do with his scientific opinion!!
    George taught more people about the REAL meaning of life!!!
    In my opinion, this is one of John Travolta's BEST movies!!!

    Travolta was phenomenal (yes, I used that word) in this movie. So incredibly sympathetic and so articulate. His intelligence as an actor is a wonderful discovery. I think of all the lesser roles he has played in other movies (or on television) and I have to say this is by far the meatiest role he delivered. Bravo!

    The sad part about this scene is that a lot of people don't seem realize they're both right for their own reasons. For every George that exists there's a person with a similar condition who just wants to live. George may be an inspiration to some, but to others he could be a savior.

    • @chadrat39
      @chadrat39 9 месяцев назад +2

      I think the sadder part is people give up in name of science. I think the bigger message is he lived to tell the two kids on that farm about how life lives on via that apple. That interaction right there was the voyage the journey the expeditions. Not for some microscope. My opinion

    I've always had entities around me and have always been able to manipulate things. It is a dance. It is lila, the cosmic play. Yes, I think I'm nuts but I've been studied on two continents and am sane. I was a paid guinea pig in France for three years recently. This is a nice movie, I loved it.

    There wasn't any ill will from the doctor. Naturally he would be enticed at the potential of discovery, but he asked for permission to do it. Though the doctor may be disappointed at him saying no, it is his right to say no.

  • @0megacron
    @0megacron 11 месяцев назад +2

    The doctor might as well have said it straight: "Don't you understand, George? I can publish a paper about this. Maybe more, even. Why, your brain could be my ticket to wealth & fame the likes of which I've always dreamed of!".

    What a group of horrible individuals. In the name of science, pseudo science, tech, advancement, or learning the deplorable will always reveal themselves and intentions. The horrible part is that I know about their ways but no one will believe me. I used to believe and care but why do it?

      Beside the use of harmonious tongues, this movie reveals a secret. The "possibility" is the ability of the "few" to become "sons of God," and the secret is the key to initiating a gift of "passing on," but Not in death. There are several quickenjngs, but the quickening of the mind does really speed up thought, speech, and reading.

      That's the problem for me also, and you can see in this very comment section all the cynicism about science, and love. But at the end you can't deny the influence of scientology on this movie, and all the poison that it brings.

      Hmm, I didn't see that in this movie. It's spiritual but not any particular religion.
      Spiritual belief, and that we can be more than mud or monkeys, has been around a long time.
      Good manners, respect, and willingness to do and be more are just a few of the messages in this movie.
