@@flapjackpancake5486It really depends on the person, I know a number of teachers. Some do it for the job. Others weirdly enjoy it. My partner really doesn't mind the shitty or weird kids because he remembers when he was a shitty and weird kid.

As a native Spanish speaker I feel the duty to faithfully translate every attempt of Spanish 💪🏼
Alas, my lack of funk did not prepare me to be able to translate “don’t fake the funk on the nasty dunk”.
I have no idea what this phrase wants to evoke and looking online it seems like it has to do with basketball?
It could be literally translated to something like “No finjas el estilo en ese sucia clavada”
But there’s a phrase in Spanish that goes “no te pases de Lanza” that means that a person did something so unimaginable that is really hard to believe.
There’s also the fact that, as we say “me falta barrio” meaning “I’m not from the hood” or, I don’t spend so much time outside on the streets to know a more suitable word to reflect said lexicon.
So what you're saying, is that you don't know the Mexican lexicon?

I feel like with my ADHD (inattentive type) I’m particularly sharp on noticing things others would not (saw a stranger drop their credit card at a bus stop when no one else did and returned it to them before they could walk off), and then entirely miss something super obvious (everyone noticed a certain song coming on very loudly in a restaurant and I spaced out and missed it). Maybe your brain tries to spend equal attention on everything when it shouldn’t? And therefore misses some obvious things and catches on to small details?
As the great bard sang, "It's not unusual". Hyperfocus has many outlets, and is common within ADHD. It can also be a bit of a curse when you hyperfocus on something totally different (what is often seen as "zoning out") while doing something important. And yeah, sometimes it's being able to spot something nobody else is seeing.

Oh wow, I feel seen about Arin's school dreams. I have those exact ones to the point that it's like an ongoing story arc.
