Our neighbor cut our 1 acre pasture with his big-ole bat-wing mower. Took less than 10 minutes, and hundreds of little trees were turned to mulch. It's an awesome machine.
I've been watching these videos for awhile by Minnesota, probably because of my life history with farming over many years. My best high school friend died a couple of weeks ago. We both grew up on a farm near Corunna, Michigan. We went off to school. I got drafted into the Army, sent to Vietnam, and blown up. My friend went into the Army came back, got married, and had 3 beautiful girls. One of his daughters died from cancer 18 months ago leaving behind 3 young children. Watching Minnesota's family growing up reminds me of my family and my friend's family. Time goes so fast. My friend was a field representative of Case Tractor for 35 years. He covered states such as Michigan, Wisconsin, and others. He loved his God, Country, and Family. Minnesota might not read this, but for posterity I wanted to remember a dear life long friend with a beautiful family. What can I say after a 60 year friendship? Cherish every second. MF, your family is very precious, my sincerest regards.
Listen I’m not a framer by far but I use to pass by a lot of Farm on my route. But I have a lot of respect for all framer for what all you guys do. Now for u sir thanks keep me interested in what you have going on
When we were growing up, my dad always told us that picking a rock up like that will cause all of your babies to be born "Naked"! And for that mini 4 wheeler and "Doughnuts" , our power play things always came with a garden rake to fill in the holes and slide marks in the driveway. Seriously, we quickly learned to stop doing those fun things. I love the new equipment but it"s all downhill after you get the first scratch on it! Love all of the videos!
You SHOULD be proud. Seeing those two little ones rippin' around on the Razor is about the most adorable thing I've seen in a long time! So jealous - I wished I had kids.
You the man Zach! Farming is in my blood too. Started watching all your videos and it never gets old. I always liked thrashing corn and beans. I love your equipment you and your Dad have, smart choices. My Dad passed away a few years ago and we farmed next to each other when I was growing up. We farmed in Michigan different conditions but all else the same. I still could jump in the tractors and go. Jim and I could share stories. Please keep explaining your craft I love it. John Deere all the way. I wish I could do more to promote just how much you learn about life while taking the huge risk you take to invest in the soil and seeds to make a living. You have it figured out man!
I am sooo glad you let us know you where wearing shorts. Could not for the life of me figure out why your legs disappeared ever time you walked across the shop floor. Might want to get a little color on those things . Wink, wink, nudge, nudge
Possible solution for displaying the flag, place some mounting brackets on a few implements for a flag. Your fields are miles apart and more community patrons will enjoy.
The way you reviewed the bat wing instruction manual cracked me up. I think that’s about the amount of time I would’ve spent with it. The toss at the end was a nice touch.
@@firstname6208 yes Blackhawk is still standing. They just got done repairing him so he could stand for many more years!!! I camp at the state park he's located at. Lowden state park. We love our history around here. John Deere made the first non stick plow 15 miles south of Oregon. His blacksmith shop still stands and is showed off along with the rest of the property he had. Wonderful place.
wonder how soon it'll be that Zach and Becky are woken up at 2 am by the sounds of the kids sneaking out and taking the new toy for a spin. Looks like they are having the time of their lives on it. Great present !!!!
I’ve never used a Woods mower but they seem pretty nice. I’d buy one. One thing I definitely prefer about them over Bush Hog is that the deck is basically just a big flat piece of steel. Bush Hog’s have all kinda humps and ridges everywhere that collect grass and make it a pain to blow off. That Woods mower probably wouldn’t have much grass on the deck at all. Even after a full day of cutting. Dipsticks instead of level plugs to check oil in gearboxes is nice too.
Very impressive "Batwing" mower. And that dent in the blade means it's broken in now. Plus Zack,You don't have to worry now about someone else denting the blades. Very Cool birthday present. Happy Birthday,Rhiannon. Drive the wheels off it. They grow up so fast !!!
I was brush hogging for 2 days. Neighbors are happy I did there field. I had my oldest son and his friend mow there yard. We said no $$$$ cause they help us around here.
Down here in Louisiana, 70° weather is considered cool weather. In fact, people here. Wear pants and long sleeves. We currently have 92°. I can always tell a northerner in winter, they are the ones not in winter coats. We only have a few days where it is actually cold, 20s or low 39s.
Wow.looks like a really nice heavy duty mower. Happy birthday to the young one. What a great little four wheeler for them to enjoy. Glad to see them wearing the helmets. Keep coming with the great videos. Grew up on 600 acre irrigated farm in Washington State. Owner of Trucking Company in Maine last 35 years and now retired in New York State. Been following you for last two years.
When we got our Woods Batwing we ordered it for 1000 PTO. It would wear out the wing blades in about two hours. After three sets of blades, we found out that a 540 splitter gearbox was installed by accident so the wing blades were running about twice as fast as they should have been. They fixed it though. Good mower now!
Zach sure can tell you haven't been to the gym in a while. Watching the girls racing around on the yard I love it. " Like Father like daughters " Happy racing weekend Zach !
We have a bat wing topper, it's a beast. Like 15ft cut, it's great, only issue we had, the prop shaft u/j has movement in, after 100hrs. But they are great.
Make sure the youngster searches that crp for deer sheds before you mow them over. I bet if that's the only cover around those big fields it might have a few laying in there👍
For this thing, it is very important to turn the PTO on and off only at low engine speeds. And also be sure to turn off the PTO when turning. I repaired driveshafts and damaged gearboxes break when used improperly.
I was starting to get worried that you got to Hollywood on us and wasn't going to be able to flip the PTO 🤪 but you came through and didn't let me down and the rest of the half a million subscribers. I have been with you since you had 1500 subscribers never thought it would grow this fast but glad it did you do awesome job and have alot of fun and that's where alot of other channels miss that AB line
Its gonna be 94 tomorrow here in west Ky. It goes from highs in the upper 50s and wet to hot and dry. Had to replant most of the corn. Normally corn is starting to tosseling in the 3rd-4th week of June here. Lot of corn is just now spiking out of the ground.
PTO's seem to me to be the thing which needs improvement on tractors. We got electronic engines, gps, electronic machine height adjustment, only the pto is still hard to attach.
We have used woods batwing mowers as a stalk chopper for the last 30 years on corn. They work great. only issue is trash buildup on top but cleans off easy.
That is a Paul Bunyan brush hog. Sweet sassafras that would make a hay of some kind wouldn't it or is it just better for the ground to go back where it came from. I used to rake the weeds that had a lot of seed and it did help to slow down the regrowth of weeds to where it was manageable.
Hey Zach: 70 degrees! Wow.... Would be a January day here in Tampa..... You need to wear sandals with your cargo shorts and long Millenial socks(white of course!). Captain Al from Tampa😎
I enjoyed your videos! Keep up the good work, and the hard work that you guys do in the fields! Also a man after my own heart for wearing long socks with shorts keep it up!
"We just can't have nice things!" Nice mower. Watch out for rocks and other solid objects! They weren't black tourist socks. Rhiannon is getting a lead foot like her brother--and maybe even her Dad--hmmm? Glad she's getting a chance to run the toys too.
Happy Birthday to the little Johnson! 🎂 Zach, Bec ,Randy. IT'S ALL IN YOUR HANDS. Just a reminder that we will pull through ALL obstacles together on this nation. We are this nation. Keep up the goodness Nate, Zach, Bec... Millennial Framer or not. 😂 Yes framer, because someone needs to show, along with, rebuild the reputation and ethic of this Industry. 😉 Examples. Best part of my day!

I know how it is to be proud. My 8yo son has taken a liking to running our mini excavator. He's getting good!

Really sad for your loss.
I never get tired of the " Hey, are you ok?"
Watching those kids having a blast on that atv puts a smile on my face
Yeah me too, and makes me kinda jealous that i had only a simple Kettcar as a kid. XD
Kids were cute tearing up the dirt. Wow, big job for Becky.

Batwing is awesome!!
Man full throttle those girls are taking after there dad need for speed how fun
The kids ripping around in the background was awesome.

Nice new mower, but now will be more work, that's the way it works when you have a new machine isn't it? Greato see the girl having fun.
You the man Zach! Farming is in my blood too. Started watching all your videos and it never gets old. I always liked thrashing corn and beans. Heart wrenching to watch a Mellennial struggle and sweat......😁
I am sooo glad you let us know you where wearing shorts. Could not for the life of me figure out why your legs disappeared ever time you walked across the shop floor. Might want to get a little color on those things . Wink, wink, nudge, nudge
My dad used to work for woods. They have a beautiful production facility in central Illinois. He was a welder on the batwing mowers.
Such a cool dude and a cool dad as well! Whenever in Vegas would love to buy you a beer!
Dipsticks on the gear cases? I am impressed!! And there was actually oil in them.
gotdeeres Our bushhog 2815MD has sight glasses for each gearbox
Sight glass will lie in a hearrt beat
Reese McClain vf
You never want to assume that new equipment has oil in the gear case. Ask me how I know that? I like the site tube idea.
If you don’t find oil on the dip sticks.....then order longer dip sticks.....thought you were a millennial

So so proud
We aren’t getting a lot of rain down here. Actually it’s so dry our grass is turning brown. Your kids will enjoy the razor!
You know you are in minnesota when the farmers have their long johns on under their shorts ;)
Woods mowers cut nice, and they rock!!! Well, . . . at least when you run one. Just kidding, I feel the pain of dented blades too.
Your my favourite American farmer your the best and teach the best of farming in America
Must be very satisfying standing in the middle of those fields overlooking your kingdom.
Love woods. They are made in my home town of Oregon Illinois. Even though Illinois sucks.
Donta... I'm from Oregon also..... 2nd. st.
I love them too.
I make a lot of money fixing them
is there a great big indian looking over the river in Oregon, il? Blackhawk maybe? hope the liberals haven't pulled him down yet.

When you pickedthat big rock up I groaned out loud :-)
that manual tube was very cool wish everything was like that
I sell both Woods and Bushhog. Both are good mowers but I think the Woods cut quality is the best out there
wonder how soon it'll be that Zach and Becky are woken up at 2 am by the sounds of the kids sneaking out and taking the new toy for a spin. Looks like they are having the time of their lives on it. Great present !!!!
My family farm has a woods batwing mower and they are excellent mowers

Thanks for understanding the importance of that clutter-free deck! We were the first to introduce a clean, sloped-top deck back in 1993.
That’s a big orange mower right there
3:18 Thank-you for putting my sibling back in the grass. It is our happy place.

I have a woods bush bull 3 points hitch and I have put that brush mower though a lot of stuff and still going
Amazing how much I learn about farming watching these !
Happy Birthday to her.
Happy times spraying , love the bat wing mower , great video
Those Woods mowers r good solid units 👍! Your gonna be tearing crap with that! Cheers 🍻 from Prairie Sunset Ranch ☀️
The Donald thanks you for keeping those tires looking new. Now go mow The White House lawn with that Woods mower.

We invested in wood equipment and they are fabulous pieces of machinery
Sprayer looks lush. ATV great fun, oh, and love the pool/decking.
I own a woods and man that thing is indestructible it was an old state mower and was dirt cheap and ragged out but still cuts better than a new deere
I use to build/weld those things in Oregon,Illinois back in the 90's
It’s encouraging to hear you say things are looking good. Thank you
2 years of fighting mud in upstate New York this year has been a good dry one and I’ll take it

Aw a millennial with shorts and long socks. Priceless.
I hope you're alright. You got your hands dirty AND had to lift a heavy rock without a break in between. LOL
Thanks for sharing, keep farming!!!

I was just fixin to say the same thing, except for it's been that same way here in Mississippi
Last time I saw legs like that they where hanging out of a nest!
Nestling or dinner to be?
comm1508 dang it this was so funny I choked while eating my tatters and corn.

That is a beautiful piece of equipment and 🚜 as well.
Zach says its in the 70s it was 88-90 here in Indiana, i had to do tree work and boy was it hot
It's a good idea to clean it before you slip it in!!!
Those shorts with long socks... 😎
Nice cameo by Canadian Becky!!!
MY god that boy was FLYING through that yard. lol That was funny.
Happy birthday Rihanna
I like when you say it's so hot its 70 degrees like it was 90 here yesterday with high humidity
