Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

JIM IS THE MAN!!! We need a "Jim Cam" for more expert commentary!!!
True
Ya
Yes a Jim cam !
Can we get this mr. zack?
Hytui
Mrs. Millennial Farmer - "That was quick"
Millennial Farmer - "That's what she said"
Mrs. Millennial Farmer - Starts to give look...and cut scene.
Classic.
OK, now that I know what she said I get it ! Slow down Zach , make it last longer !!!!!
Hey Dennis, SHE edits the videos
@@holsteinsanddiesels7758 we'll be right back
*Laughs In Michael Scott"
I still love a good, “that’s what she said.” Especially if it illicit’s THAT look from the Mrs.
It is an Awesome video and i like because you let us see your little girls. It is awesome to see your wife doing some of the farming and that your girls are part of your farming operation. Your son dose a amazing job running the grain cart. Maybe he will follow you in the farming business. GREAT JOB for the WHOLE FAMILY.
NOT ONLY is he snapping fingers and getting work done but he also can make Jim appear out of thin air... AMAZING!!
Truck driver here... I get thanked a lot for "keeping america moving" but you folks are the real MVP's. Thank you for keeping us fed!!!!
Thank you for getting that food to all of us !
Farmer here (ignore my profile pic, joke among friends)
Honestly I believe truck drivers MVP since they transport all the good and odds are our machinery would be broken down and there would be a lack of available parts without you truck drives. Thank you for keeping the country moving and my respect to all of you
Problem is, I believe most of his corn gets burn down in the electricity plant.
@@techHmrk well his corn still helps because it gets turned into ethanol gas and then the by-product which is ddg gets fed to cattle so what helps
Everything Zach harvests is used to make ethanol fuel. In case you didn't know but if we didn't have the truck driver's like yourself the whole country would be screwed completely. So thank you for all the time you're away from your family to keep America alive and running
"Thunderrrrrrrrrrrrrr" along with "Fossilized Dinosaur Bones" are two staples that must continue! One of which I have not heard in quite some time 🤦♂️💁♂️
are you ok ? :)
And "that what she said" (12:41)
"Hippie Tears" has been used before...
I think it's great that Becky makes time to come out to see you in the fields. You have yourself a lovely lady there. You fell on your feet when you found her.
The old 9870 cold start never gets old no government juice on that old girl 👍🏻👍🏻
In Ireland "she's a sweet ride" means something very different! 😉🤭😁
Is everything in Ireland a sexual innuendo? Lol
@@joeygoedhart633 technically he never said it was sexual.... so.....
That's what she said.
Thats what she said
And scotland
Your Dad is such a nice guy, a true Minnesotan. Thanks for the videos!
i agree!
Agree there working relationship as father and son is pretty neat the respect is very much mutual
so glad to see Isla is ok and smiling!
Ol' Dad is one tough ol' bird! You are truly blessed to have a great father and it shows in you.
Clifford the Big Red Quad
I love it spam it in the chats
Hahaha
LOL
My dad had a work truck and that’s what I named it
Yes! Clifford would be perfect👌
Specifics we enjoy about MNMF videos 1) "Are ya all right?" "Are ya okay?" 2) Tells it how it is 3)"That's what she said" and 4) Thunderrrrrrrrrr. Keep up the great work ya'll. I almost forgot my favorite is when you ask the dog if she has eaten anyone.
Don't forget, "I didn't think he'd ever leave".
Who else loves Zack’s dad😎 such a cool guy and laid back!!
I laughed way too hard at Isla wanting the flamingo on the toilet 😂😂
omg me too!!
me waiting for him to say "Thunderrrrr". him saying it normally: "thunder". me: aY wHeReS dA thUnDeRrRRRrR aT >:(
Same I was waiting for thunderrr
even if he say it quiet still need to be thuuuunnndddeeerrrrr.
The THUNDER bit always gets my mind to repeating the Under Dog theme song. Speed of lightening, ROAR OF THUNDER....
Yeah I was sad too, THUNDEEEEEERRRRRRRRR
I'll give him a pass this time with that rough voice, but I wanna see a return of THUNDERRRRRR in the near future!
The look on Becky's face when she says, "This is it, That was quick" Like she has said that more times than she cares to remember.
There’s a reason for the MF kids
Lol
Ivers Farms has nice operation in southern Illinois. They run some red and discuss the Case speed tiller in this vid link
ruclips.net/video/X_s9dPzlNQ8/видео.html
Seeing Becky standing on the ground while you're in the Case really puts the size of that thing into perspective!
Great to see your dad moving better. You make sure he doesn't over do it and back on the sofa.
It's nice to see the little one doing OK wishing her a speedy recovery from the 🇬🇧
Should call it the Welker wagon
THUNDERRRR. Don’t change up a good thing. Glad your daughter is feeling better.
I like to know how many other farmers are as lucky as you with all that nice modern equipment.
i thought for sure you were going to name the quad trac -"Temporary"
Hey I saw ur yt channel where is ur farm at?
@@braydenjany53 central iowa
kinda got a vibe he might kinda partial the big red machines now lol!
Todd Family Farm, I like your avatar.
@@JohnnyUmphress we're growing our channel, we're looking forward to offering merch just cause we like our logo lol
Definitely gotta call that tractor the Welker Wagon!
Brilliant
Just how much snow ❄, sorry I wait for next video , how many crops still out I'm hooping for the best 👌
Love the sound of the 9870 on a cold day
"She's a sweet ride" shows a picture of his wife... LOL. Trying to be respectful but that's funny!
Are the girls looking at the catalog from Amazon? My Girl (my wife) has been looking at it too LOL
She's the editor so you know lol
That was my first thought too LOL.
Maybe y'all have heard this but.."Every good MFR has a GREAT...MMFR by his side." 😂 The Goodness. 🇺🇸
Lol
I live in Ohio and I'm glad that there's no snow yet for us so we can get our harvest finished
We have a ton of snow now at this point. Videos coming!
OMG you guys sure work hard. My eyes are open more now than ever. Thanks for what you do.
Thanks for all the great videos Zach! I really enjoy them!
You can send that snow up to Canada, we will gladly take it!
No bring it to Tennessee
You can't wait three days? These millennial's ..
You guys get enough of it bring it to Wisconsin!
@@noahjourdan8235 no Tennessee we really need it
Tennessee needs it
I look forward to these videos everyday!
Thanks for the clip of your recovering little one. She's looking good.
We don’t have salted nut rolls in Australia :( thanks to you, I’m going to have to beg and plead my parents in the states to send me some.
Thanks for the Vids man, and thanks to Becky, your wife for all the time she spends editing these videos.
Nut Rolls are the best. They don't melt. Kind of like a Pay Day minus the caramel.
If you don't want to say it, we will. "Thunderrrrrrrrr"
SAY "THUNDERRR" EVERYTIME OR NO LIKE! THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING!
J/K: I will still like. But I won't like it!
yea don't want him to say it like he did.... it's
*THUN* + *DARRRRRRRRRRRR* *THUNDAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!* but... yea if he just gunna thunder... it then yea don't even bother dude!
Yeah! These lazy millennials...
Thunnnnndddddeeeeerrrrrrrr
THUUUUNDERRRRRRRRRR
I agree! You gotta say Thunderrrr! It is just like a tradition now!
Your father looks like he is an all round nice guy. What a legend 👍👍
Well done Zach, good luck brotha, I'm glad to seen Dad doing alright.
4:42 Awesome to see one of the “older ones”, the maximizer series are my favorite combines.
Jim is an exact doppelgänger for my father who also lives in Minnesota! It’s weird when I see him in the video.🤪
hey no matter what
you do the dog are alway glad to see you
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Take a look at the tillage piece Larson farms is using they love it
Yeah that salford is a nice piece.
In regards to the unloading drive chain breaking. The two horizontal unloading augers could be out of time. It's not really critical, but if they aren't timed 180 degrees from each other it puts added stress on the entire unloading system.
I've never heard/thought of that but it would make sense, thanks!
Bro. I see snow and I see Christmas. I’m so excited for December. Just makes life so much better
Enjoy watching you guys run the farm. Neat to see how things are done. We're having some issues with chinesium chain at my job as well. With C19, the supply chain has slowed way down. We have lead times in weeks instead of days for parts.
Thanks to you and Becky for making these vids.
Thunderrrrrr is a recurring character on the millennial show that deserves his proper name used.
I'm committed to our relationship. Wear my subscriber ring everyday.
Love seeing Jim and you're dad in the videos, keep that up they provide some good humor
best farm vlog on youtube. good work man! thanks for the entertainment and everything else all you farmers do
I’m proud of this man. One of the hardest things as a farmer is letting go of dignity, even a little bit. He used a case ih to get the job done. Good job not letting dignity get in the way of farming. Keep it up.
Case IH on the johnson farm. Never thought I'd see it.
That was nice of you to show Mrs.Millennial farmer how big that cab is lol 😝
Looking through the Sears and JC Penney catalog for Christmas presents. Brings back memories. Your kids are a blessing my man.
You have to go “Thunderrrr” otherwise I will sit here saying it for myself and that is just sad 😂
It is most definitely called "pop", not soda. Coming from Pittsburgh, Pa.
And beer is "Barley pop"
Aww iowa hope you heal soon from us here In Ireland
Some really smart camera angles whilst working the tiller... well done
keep saying THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the Millennial Farmers voice, "THUNDERRRRR!" it would be cool and or funny, take your pick, to hear your Dad say it that way.
This video is an amazing example of the highest work ethic and dedication which you always have, and this is one of the key reasons why American agriculture is unquestionaly the greatest in the world!!
Great video for sure and so enjoy your presentation. Who ever is doing the cutting and pasting I commend you for your talent. Thanks again for your great videos.
You forgot to roll your R's "Thunderrrrrr"
unfortunately i think yall have a lot more snow coming this weekend, we're in central iowa, we got 3 inches yesterday, 2020 is one thing after another
Yeah us too. I'm in Des Moines area and surprised us.
@@Chris-yk8vl we;re in tama, we got 2-3, i heard yall had close to 5
Yeah Im sitting down here in Florida with the AC going hot out today
@Elizabeth Zacharias in iowa where i am at---- no, not this much this early, maybe a skiff around halloween, but not like this. where zach is at? he might expect a little freezing rain or a trace of snow, but again-- you ought to be able to feel safe until halloween
@@ToddFamilyFarm Yeah it kinda sucked. I took until the late afternoon for it to even melt off the driveways.
I enjoy Jim and your Dad working with you. What a fortunate group of guys you've assembled. Cream of the crop.
Thanks for running the red. I love the green too but I grew up on both sides of the fence. I learned that both can get the job done!!!!
Legend has it that since that that's what she said he hasn't seen the inside of the house
Love the vids !
Great video and super nice to see harvest coming to a good conclusion. You do know that when ladies have a catalog they should not be interrupted , shopping is important, like harvesting, just so you know. Thank you for sharing your day with us.
We especially love your "random fun fact" around 14:12. 😉😉 ...Glad we can help out in a small way towards grain bin safety!
You should play acdc thunderstruck when you open up the trailer!!!!
Did anyone notice the facial expression on Becky’s face when Zach said that’s what she said...? Zach might have stuck his foot in his mouth a bit there🤣
Stuck not suck !!!!!!!!!!
It's been said Zach spent the night with the dogs that night.
Dennis Hayes fixed 🤣
Kevin Benecke 🤣🤣🤣
No need to broadcast your shortcomings. Lol
I appreciate you saying "Thunder." I used to have a dog named "Thunderbutt" and hearing "Thunder" just brings back many great memories of a great friend/companion.
We need more of Jim's commentary. He is such a hoot when he is on! All uphill fun from when he got the tractor stuck. Keep getting well, Isla!
Time to tune up the snowmobile Zack !!!
Snowmobiles run good in corn fields when the corn the is down, is good way to turn them it before it snows
Now you can snap your fingers and Jim shows up to work.
Thunderrrrr! Always, never leave it out, and I'm really glad Ila is doing well, always love Jim's comments. and you can see your dad getting into the videos more, he may even start running his own camera :D. Great videos.
lost for words! no idea how to describe the fact that he is still by your side despite the few hiccups with hes health. God bless you and your family.
I say keep saying THUNDERRR, wife says keep saying it if you want, forget everyone else. She did not say forget, I think I married a trucker!
I was waiting for him to say “this China crap” when he was looking at the chain. Or maybe It just got edited out.
🤣🤣 those jokes were made off camera among all of us!!

I love these videos, thanks Zach!
I’m a firefighter in Washington county Maryland. I really appreciate what your doing for firefighters around the country A helpful tip is bottled water. Water is essential for keeping a firefighter going during a tough scene and during these times water is very scarce in large quantities. Again I appreciate what your doing for all of us firefighters. #esentialworkers #firstresponders #farmers

Well done on a great harvest. I’m jealous of the snow. It’s currently 95 in California...
Salted nut rolls are awesome👍🏼 wish I could be there I really miss the smell of drying corn in the fall.
I vote on Welker Cadillac lol and we still love thunderrrrrr!
And what politician , I think Bloomberg , how hard is farming you put a little seed in the ground and watch it grow. Yeah right. !!!
I have always thought, that's how you do it.
I miss your tillage montages of you rocking out, eating, sleeping, playing on the phone etc from a while ago, thats what made me subscribe
I was just a young boy when I worked for a farmer and though I never was able to own a farm I always loved the opportunity to watch. I’m now 65 and while I know I will never farm it is so enjoyable to watch you and your operation. I would give anything to spend a day with you. Love the show and so glad to see you are such a good family man.
Omg I’m from Ireland and i thought that the title mean something else 😂😂
I'm fairly sure that's intentional 😂
