I've got to 4.52 here and just have to mention that after my first child I changed doctor. I had a lovely male doctor, but read I was due an intimate exam to check muscles and all a couple of months after first childbirth, I didn't want him there so changed practices to get a female. I didn't want to offend him by asking for a female, so just moved. Now I'm not sure the 'exam' was necessary at all.

The sense of pain and feeling of betrayal is gut-wrenchingly palpable on the faces of so many gay men and women - and self-identified and medically altered trans who strongly disagree with this current political iteration - who feel that they are suddenly getting pushed "right back in the closet" (their words, not mine) by others who claim to speak for lgb+ and enforce this current "trans" campaign... their fear of excommunication from the very "group" they looked to for belonging, support, and acceptance is particularly powerful, lest they dare disagree or merely raise an honest question.

For my view, LGB is a distinct to the T+ and should never be conflated, as it endeavours to draw on the credit of one to uphold the other.
And putting people in to groups based on their sexual preference ignores the multitude of facets that make us inidividuals (work, upbringing, social group, nationality, hobbies, health conditions, family, children, etc) and instead it says all our values can be defined by just one.

I'm a gay man over 50, and the homophobic hate directed at us from TRA's is far worse than anything we got from the religious right decades ago. I'm baffled that so many gay men are mindlessly following along with this movement even though they cannot relate to the issues behind it. I think it comes down to this: "If I don't follow along, I won't fit in. If I don't fit in, I won't get laid." That's it. That's how deep these guys are. Pathetic.

It used to be that if someone identified themselves as Napoleon, Marie Antoinette or any of these types of figures, they were placed under proper psychiatric care. It used to be, which is about three years ago. Now you can identify as a dog, a cat, a chair, a woman and the law protects you. The question is, if you identify yourself as a chair, should you by any chance lose your human rights? If someone hits a dog, doesn't he face less punishment than for hitting a human? If you're an animal, you don't have human rights, you have animal rights. How can you be an animal, or a chair and a human at the same time? But the law leaves you with the right of a human being, and doesn't order you to be put to sleep when you are too aggressive towards people. So why doesn't it apply the same rule to men who identify as women? After all, you're still a man, it's just that something's messed up in your head. Why, for the "rights" of a few disturbed people, should 99% of society suffer and little else, allow this disorder to become a contagious disease passed on to our children? Everyone's rights are important, but if the right of a particular individual is more important than the rights of a huge group of society, we are starting to tread on very slippery ground. Society exists to impose certain restrictions and certain norms for the health and safety of the majority. If everyone did what they wanted, murder, robbery and rape would be the order of the day. And in some places they already are, because the system no longer defends society, only marginal individuals who, like those who believe they are Napoleon, should get a slightly different kind of help.

In California, men who identify as women have the "right" to be houses in women's prisons, and if they harass the female inmates and the an inmate complains, the female inmate is punished for bigotry. Also, trans women have the right to demand they be searched by female guards, even if the trans woman is a fully intact male.

I love the questions she brings up here, and I think many of them require separating the uneducated transgender masses, who go through the process, but never ask why, and those that didn't just want to accept a diagnosis.
Back when I transitioned, it wasn't called Gender Dysphoria, but rather Gender Identity Disorder. One was the disorder, and the other is what causes the disorder. I'm not certain it required changing, but that's kind of the point, isn't it? We keep changing things because we want the world to mold to us.
I had a membership for a while at Planet Fitness. I started working out there long before it was ever news that they allowed people in the locker rooms of their gender identity. I lef the gym when I found out. Women have the right to feel safe in the spaces that belong to them. Transgender people should avoid locker rooms. Find a family bathroom. Ask to change in an empty room or in a closet with a locking door. Change at home, but not the locker rooms. At all costs, entering the women's room should be avoided if a non-men's room alternative exists. When I enter a women's bathroom, I announce my presence. Almost 15 years later, when no one can tell. Why? Because my desire to feel safe while peeing does not give me the right to take that safety away from women. And yes, I have on two occasions had people object, and I deescalated by letting them know I would wait outside until they were done, and one of them even offered to do the same for me. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you approach the situation knowing you're the intruder and you need to respect that space. But there are lines I would never cross, beyond the locker room and vaginal exam.
I worked as a CNA for 5 years. It was the best job I ever had. When I first started, I came out to my employer, and told them that I would be letting our residents know. I was asked to keep it private, but I would not. I let every resident know I was transgender, and I even had a few of the residents that would not let males in their room accept my care. Of course, I did have residents who would not accept my care, but when you have a worker coming into your home to take care of you, you have a right to know, especially since such a big part of my job was peroneal care.
I do understand why she would interpret dysphoria feeling that way, but that's not really how it manifests. When people ask what it's like, I like to tell them that gender dysphoria feels like that alien feeling you get when you try to use your off hand to do things. That generalized feeling of wrongness, but it's more intense. Except it's not when you're using a pencil to write on paper, but rather every time you look in the mirror, use a toilet, think about dating, think about how the world perceives you. You just don't feel like any of it is right, and it can be very distressing at times. But I'd never dream of saying "I feel like a woman". That's not what transgender is to me. It's a medical condition with a strict treatment plan that should be followed to the letter for the safety of the one with dysphoria. And NEVER on kids.
I think the big issue here is that the modern transgender movement has this insane feeling of entitlement. That the whole world needs to bow to them like they're special. It's a mental illness, and I ascribe to a theory that says it has biological origins. But just because it's a medical illness does not give people a right to use their identity as a weapon against others, and that's the world we're living in.
If any of you have any questions, I'd be happy to field them. I don't mind if you want to troll me a little, and I can take a trans joke better than anyone you know, so feel free to hit me with them. For people with actual questions, I'll be doing my best to answer them. I may just be some nobody transgender woman from the Midwest, but the odds of you getting an individualized response from Blaire White, Buck Angel or The Offensive Tranny are much lower than me.

@notreal-duh I recommend subscribing to the channel we're commenting on and looking through some of the videos already up, including the full video with Helen Joyce. Andrew will tell you that he found his way to this topic as part of his initial interest in cults. One of the central themes of cults is conformity to the group.
You ask what they're conforming to/have in common. Well, for one thing, they're conforming to a trans identity, to believing that either themselves or others are born into the wrong body. People can't be born into the wrong body, which I think most of the population understand, but conforming to this belief is part of the suicidal contagion. It's all very 'radical', except as Helen says, they're all being rebellious or radical in the same way. That extends to fashion conformity, where it's trendy to "rebel' by wearing gender non-conforming clothes. Similar to thr punks, Teddy Boys, Mods, Hippies, etc. or yesterday, it's all very rebellious from the old norms, but really, everyone is rebelling by conforming to that same ethos.

Their line in the sand is not up for compromise. To see how far the neo-Marxist/applied post-modernist woke ideology has gone in their rearranging of society means that they've somehow understood non-verbalised permission to just carry on with their "radical progressive" agenda. There's a strange pacifism from the Muslims and the only people who get called TERFs and 'phobes' and bigots are the so-called 'far right' bogeymen/women and highly active Christians. That's what's puzzling me. When the Muslims say 'we're not doing this-- our women and children are NOT doing 'gender neutral' changing rooms and 'gender neutral restrooms', our children are not going to social transition behind our backs at school and we're not being bullied into accepting this stuff under threat of HR repercussion in the workplace etc', well, I'd assume they'd be VERY FIRM indeed.
I think you're definitely correct in pointing out that the media and Big Tech are in cahoots in engineering all this, censoring and suppressing so as to create a totally false projection of what's really going on. TO A DEGREE. As I clumsily said above in my usual long winded way, if there was pushback from that lot, the lefties wouldn't have gotten anywhere NEAR where they have. I believe the Muslims are being extremely politically strategic in their hand holding with the lefties (when it suits them, when those ignorant, gullible nitwits can be programmed and manipulated in favour of the Islamic agenda). As the Ayatollah Khomeini said, "If Islam is not political, it is nothing".
