They spoke in a panel on the topic of 'Speaking Truth on Gender' at the Ireland Free Speech Summit on June 18. Laoise chaired the panel and gave an introductory speech on her important work at The Countess.
The event was hosted by Free Speech Ireland and supported by ADF International.

Virtue signalling is what it is but cases are coming to the fore with nurses taking legal action in Scotland and England over men in female changing rooms.
Call them up and ask if they'll support eg Alzheimer cause and rights for a month or stand up for the rights of people under going cancer diagnosis. By having no flag whatsoever, (at a hospital, a cafe, a charity shop, etc etc) should indicate that everyone is included.

In one detrans video I watched, the speaker said it wasn't "gender dysphoria", but rather it was "social dysphoria", which rings true when I consider the case of my lost daughter.

@randmorf Yes, social dysphoria. When I was much younger I was painfully shy, couldn't keep friends, dreaded boys who took an interest in me, and just couldn't behave like a 'girly girl'. Even though I was a straight A student, my mother was always comparing me to my two older sisters, saying 'Why can't you be a normal girl?' My grades weren't acknowledged, only my painful introversion.
I was in my 50s when I finally saw an ABC (am Australian) documentary about Aspergers, and the penny dropped. I saw a clinical Psychologist who diagnosed me with Aspergers (now known as Autism Specrum Disorder).

No one goes to a doctor/counsellor/psych because they are gay, lesbian, hetero or bi, because they know their physiological responses to sexual stimuli from others. I was talking with a journalist for a regional news outlet in Australia, about a separate subject, and then we chatted about other topics. When I was letting him know about how insidious the trans ideology and its growth is, and some of the appalling aspects of it, he was surprised and asked in disbelief: "Why haven't I heard about all this in the mainstream media"! Capture, mate, capture. And Stella is right about the lawyers being asleep at the wheel. I am a retired lawyer and I missed it when our federal government - led by a woman, ffs - amended the Sex Discrimination Act in 2013 and in doing so had the definition of 'man' and 'woman' removed and replaced with the term 'gender identity'. Guilty, your honour.

Pronouns are more than a matter of free speech.
She pronoun refers to a biological female.
He pronoumy refers to a biological male.
It's much more than just a matter of free speech

It's not okay, nor should it be legal for a man or woman to claim the opposite sex pronouns..
A person now called ' trans' should have to use a double pronoun - a man who presents as a trans woman should have to have the pronoun heshe - indicating by the first root pronoun that they are a biological male..

There are men and women, he and she. That is ALL people .
No cis pronoun needed.
Then there are a minority of people with gender disphoria who are not comfortable with their bodies and their gender and want to change to the opposite sex..
But that's not physically possible.
To ease their discomfort and to be visible for their mental health a special separate set of pronouns to describe them and for them to use would not disrupt society ie heshe and shehe..
But the idea that by law the rest of society is to pretend that there is no such thing as a man and a woman and that one can become the other and force the population under pain of job loss or even prison to lie abiut reality is total insanity..

I'm so frustrated that people just won't listen and how hidden this,all is. I live in small town canada 🇨🇦, and I'm shocked how even after the CASS report, nothing has changed. My psychiatrist and therapists know nothing about the real issues, I've done my best to explain but it's just not on their radar because they don't deal with kids.

I would have no problem with a 'trans' woman calling himself heshe.. then like some grammar I know that no matter what 'she' looks like, however female sounding and looking, that I am talking to a person who is male, the sex being indicated by the first part(root) of the joint pronoun and that person should not have access to private female spaces.
I know also there's specific female conversations there is no point in me asking advice or exchanging expeiences about with them because a male can't have had those experiences not being a woman.
Also there could be joint pronoun toilet and safety spaces. All ' trans' people should feel more comfortable sharing spaces with each other than demanding that men or women share their spaces with them and pretend that they are the same. They are not.
The nonsense that they want 98% or 99% of men and women, not to be refered to by their pronouns of reality.. but forced to be called CIS women and men!! It's ludicrous.

The only way to understand trans is to read Judith Butler's Queer philosophy of the late 80s and 90s and some of its background in the decade before. She was coming off a revolutionary political tide between NY and San Francisco. What has happened since is the elevation of this counterculture by liberal identity politics.
The countries which legislate that race and gemder are self identified , can be changed, no proof needed and their selection is legally binding and can change birth certicates drivers licence and passport details legally.

If you give different groups different rights and privileges, self definition of membership may not be the perfect solution, but shurely a better one than complete foreign definition. Foreign definition gives the state a kind of power which it shouldn't have.

Let me walk some folks here through my personal experience. I'm trans, hello. You'd never know it passing me in the street, why? Because I don't make a mockery of people. Many people are uncomfortable with it being mainstream and fear people taking advantage of it or pushing it onto children... these are valid and legitimate, but unfortunately for folks like me with genuine dysphoria it's highly frowned upon so we don't seek treatment and it festers and grows until we die or seek some kind of therapy. Talk therapy never helped me, and in fact anytime I got push back it made me realize... yeah, no... I'd want even the shit sides of being a woman. From both an analytical and emotional perspective I'd still rather be a woman. The macho persona men are pushed towards doesn't appeal to me, so I guess yeah... I'm not a "real man" or even a man at all in any sense, and have no desire to be.
Whatever you do though you aren't a woman you are only what you think a woman is.

That's the problem with LGBTQ all being lumped together. Even if someone doesn't support one aspect of it, like putting kids on puberty blockers, suddenly they're hateful bigots that are against the entire alphabet and wanna ban gay marriage and all the other BS.
