Combine flat picking and shred guitar and this is what you get. I’m a metal head but flat pickers have always mesmerized me, incredible playing and effortless hybrid picking technique. I hate modern county or at least mainstream country radio but this right here is bad asserery of the highest order!

As a teen yute I would have sat with a tape deck and painstakingly gone over this line by line to learn it. I would take it a little chunk at a time, sing a passage over and over and over until I got all/most of the notes. I would have LOVED the challenge. Now, with video, I get to see the actual artist play it...i get to see where there fingers go, how they chose to fret notes and how the go about picking, but I find it very distracting and don't know if I could learn the same way I did without the video. One day, when I get my life back, i wanna come back to this and see what I can do...reminds me of the country jam Nuno Bettencourt does in his live solo. Also in G. But, seriously, aren't all of these cool country jams in G?
