I know this is an old video, but I really need to voice my appreciation for it. I've taken on a rather large project and am new to C2C, and this video has taught me everything I need to know to complete it. While I'm not exactly excited for the amount of bobbins I'm going to need, I'm happy I know how to do the colour changes and I'm excited to get this project underway. Thank you.
Another tip that I learned for c2c when changing color...so what I do is I roll my yarn into a ball and I take a stitch marker and I "pin it" to my work so that my yarn doesn't tangle and so my yarn balls don't "run" away from me! It really helps and makes it go way faster especially if im working large projects!
I was intimidated by C2C after seeing the amazing work that others have done, but I found a pattern I REALLY wanted to make and decided I would just have to suck it up and learn. I am so glad I found this video! It made the whole process more manageable and I am loving it! Thanks Mikey!
hope you see this. I am sooo grateful for your tutorial. I wanted to crochet a tractor c2c for one of my great grandsons and had no idea how to change colors gracefully. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! I’m a newbie and I was getting ready to cry and throw my project down…but then I looked C2C vids and saw this! Thank you! I think I can do it now! Thank you!
Due to this video i am on # 4 of 25 baby blankets for a community baby shower.... I hope they love them. I am using the animal graphs from the Alaskan cruise
Thanks for sharing this, I have never work a project like this, but because of your perfect teaching I can make a snoopy Afghan I always wanted. Great job, and thanks again.
Thank you for this super clear video! I have been thinking about a blanket design for several years now, and finally decided to try to C2C it, and your tutorial is just perfect. I finally started it today thanks to you!
Thank you so much Mickey you did again I have been crocheting for over 57 years and I love to learn new things. Your ideas with with writing the graphs for the corner to corner grahagans was right on and your idea of using the directional arrows wars a life saver.Little things like folding over the second scare to meet the first square are just really important tips. Thank you so much Karol Beaufore.
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I had no idea about bobbins when I decided to do a C2C graphgan. Thanks to this video my blanket came out perfect!
Excellent in depth instructions. I am a seasoned crocheter attempting C2C and having a difficult Time of it until following this video. It is now so much simpler. Thank you so much.
You are amazing teacher 🧑🏫 thank you for all your tips of crochet. I will use it from my cross stitch in to the crochet. That will be my new project ❤thank again
Thank you very much for the tips. I have done only 1 corner to corner project prior to this and believe me it was a struggle. I've been crocheting for many years but never from a grid changing colors and finishing tips made this project a breeze. Will post finished project when completed. Thanks again.
Love ur tutorial!!!! Great job. I liked the pace. Not too fast but didn’t waste my time by talking and talking about the same thing. Thanks. You just gained a fan.
I've been wanting to try a new way to crochet and found corner to corner. This was the best video that showed me everything I needed to know to start! Ready to start small and build my way up! Thank you!
Thanks so much, you're extremely easy to understand and very detailed and not overly wordy, most tutorials I can't watch because they are confusing. Really appreciate the video!!!

This video totally demystify c2c crochet. If, like me, you’ve never done it before you might feel overwhelmed by the idea of bobbins etc.. but I jumped straight into it by trying a small pattern like Repeat Crafterme’s coffee cup square. It was absolutely fantastic to put in practice all the tips, particularly changing colours, and because it’s small I was done before loosing the plot like I would have probably done halfway through an Afghan. Now I feel a lot more confident to start a bigger project. Thank you Mickey you’re a great teacher 😁

Great tutorial! I'm about to start my first C2C and the one I'm doing, the end sample looks like a shag rug. I'm was almost going to opt out. This was wonderful how you taught us to work, down and eliminate using a bunch of bobbins. Thanks
Watched this one time through and everything was so clearly explained I didn't have to resort to re-watching any part of it again. Probably one of the most straight forward, clear tutorials i've seen.
Thank you very much for the tutorial. I know how to crochet the C2C, however I never did a project that require to change colors. I learned from you how to change color in graphgan SC. I struggle a little with the graph in C2C so I need to have my graph put in words. Usually, I can visualize the pattern but the c2c is quite challenging since I never know which way I am going. Hi Mikey. Thank you so much Mikey for explaining how to make a pattern for the graphgan. I've been driving myself CRAZY, trying to figure out how to make letters in a C2C scarf for my 37 year old son who wanted a black scarf with red letters that spell "SHADOW"... Now I can tackle that project... whew!😓 ... I love your tutorials. You are so helpful... Much Love, Peace and Blessings to you and your family. Thank you again😊

Thank you - I have been wanting to learn how to do a C2C graph but just didn't know how to change colors and wasn 't sure how to read the charts - this tutorial is amazing - thanks so much.
Thank you I mam currently working on my first C2C project it's a baby blanket and am in the decreasing stage.Starting on building the rectangle so this is what I was looking for the make sure I did it right!
Ty so much I am attempting to make a c2c scarf ( from Buffalo NY so of course it says BILLS with stripes at either end ) lol I have done c2c just never have changed colors and this is has written I always watch videos as semi new was so confused with 1b2r3w then arrows then next different but you made it crystal clear 🤗🤗
You explains EVERYTHING so well....thank you so much...I have followed several of your tutorials and the project has worked out perfect...it was because of your explanations that I was able to do each project. I really can't thank you enough..😊
Thank you for shareing this tutorial video. I'm not a native english speaker but easy to follow. Your voice is really calm :). Now I want really try this. This must be next project for me.
Mikey!! Thank you!! You are so awesome I got stuck making my brother c2c graphan dish towel out of a batman logo. It was my first ever and i want to say thank for the awesome help I love your videos!
I absolutely love your videos. Any new technique I want to learn, I always search to see if you have made a tutorial and learn from there! If it wasn't for these videos I really would never have been able to learn as much as I know about crochet. THANK YOU for each and every video you have done! I'm super excited to give this C2C a try
I love this technique and I saw today a project I'd love to make, but I have the feeling that it would be a lot harder than it seems by watching you do it. I think I'm going to put this project aside for a little longer, maybe I'll start it in summer when I get more free time. Great tutorial though, it seems to me you haven't left anything out. Thanks!!
Thank you. My number 1 fear was- oh my goodness I want it big and never seen or knew how to make it bigger than a few boxes I've looked at. However 14 minutes into this video I learned and understood the numbers. Anything C2C and regular graphghans have just intimidated me so much. That I never tried, just kinda gave up on the idea of learning. I will give it a go after I get my 4 current projects done. Very thankful. This started my Monday out right.
Thank you so much for the amount of information you provided. I've always been interested in how these work. I will admit, it's a lot more work than I thought but I'm so glad this tutorial pointed out all the things you have to keep in mind (especially the bobbles!). I'm excited to try it but need to figure out a pattern (or find one) and get all the yarn! :)) Thank you again!! 😄
This tutorial was incredibly informative and as someone else @jaderz02 mentioned 4 years ago, I too am new to C2C and decided to take on a large detailed graphgan and now feel well-equipped to handle it although I’m not looking forward to planning my bobbins. Your videos are always helpful and are never drawn out longer than necessary which I appreciate. I learned so much and couldn’t believe that I’d been watching the video for almost an hour - it honestly felt like 15 minutes! Thank you so much!
This tutorial was probably the best I've ever seen. I have never even heard of C2C. I'm so excited to find a pattern to complete for my nursery. Thank you
Great work, Michael, but just to clarify one point. When you look at a graph in the same way as the completed piece will appear, then yes you would think in terms of up and down. However when you are working, the up and down is irrelevant, as you are working right to left, as one always does with crochet - or,left to right if you’re left handed. If you choose to work from written instructions, there’s no up or down. If you choose to work from a graph, I would suggest that you rotate the graph and view it on the diagonal. Then it will function just like any other crochet graph. In other words, on alternate rows you move left to right in the chart, even though you’re still working right to left. Thank you for your wonderful work. I never would have got into crochet (in my 60s) without your tutorials.
I know this is a really old video but I am just now finding it. I’m wondering if there’s a difference in the first block going down. I’m halfway through my graphgan and I had to look for help on the decrease. This is when I noticed that I started with my 1st block pointing down instead of up. I’m hoping it’s all okay in the end. Thank you so much for the tutorial.
Mikey thanks for this tutorial, I've never done anything like this before, as just a newbie, definitely going to try. The way you explain the pattern make it look and sounds like I could tackle it, thanks again:-)
Thanks for the complete run thru on how to do C2C with color changes. Do you have a video with suggestions on keeping the bobbins organized and untangled? I did your neverending granny square and made a beautiful afghan for my DIL. I did have trouble with the yarn tangling. A few times I did have to stop and untangle to be able to keep going. I fully expect to get completely tangled up if I have more than 3 bobbins. LOL Thanks!

Very thankful. This started my Monday out right.
begin with dishcloths and frog when necessary and try again! lol
Thank you again!!
Thank you
Such clear instructions I love it! Learned a lot, can't wait to start, thank you!
You must have read my mind. I am about to start my first one. This is most helpful. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for this. I'm found a pattern that is like this. Since I'm pretty knew to crocheting, I had no idea how to read it.
Ive always put off pixel art with c2c for the fact i couldnt carry the yarn to where it was needed 😮 thankss for explaining it so well 😊😊
i love your tutorials love new challenges ill try to do it wish me luck thank god for crochet
Thank you so much Mikey! You give me the confidence to try new things, and I adore you for that!
you are a wonderful teacher, your videos are an inspiration
Hello Phyllis
LOL Thanks!
