Gotta love Grace she is awesome! One of my all-time favorite singers of today. I know with more and more growth she will be phenomenal. I shall forever be a huge fan
She's 15 here. Fun fact I discovered watching her Instagram post. So she has absolute pitch. She was singing the note then tuning her uke. So you probably will never hear her sing a bad note. / actually bad notes can happen on accident. She will be first to know it was a bad note. Hehe Have a nice day.
Her Today and Tomorrow on Jimmy Kimmel is arresting. Theres a sparse and magnetic acappella break where you can hear a pin drop in the audience. Then the roar of a captivated audience. Shes been doing a lot of at home mini concerts and its just her voice and strings
Grace is only 15 here, and yes she is rather stunning. She's had a modelling contract with IMG since she was 13, but she is constantly changing her look. She was in Paris recently for a Chanel fashion show, wearing one of their dresses and looked quite different though no less amazing. She is quite the chameleon, always changing and that goes for her music as well. As good as many of the songs are on her first two CDs, Letters, vol. 1 is a huge step forward and Vol. 2 will be out shortly. Grace says it's much better than 1 so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm sure you've heard this from other fans but she really is a genius. Her live version of Poser is as good as The City so that would be a good one to react to.
Grace is an amazing, fascinating artist. She's also probably the prettiest young woman I've ever seen. I've been following her since her AGT audition. What I particularly find appealing is that she always comes across as the age she is - brilliant - but nevertheless a teenager
Love, love, love this song and especially this version of the song. The setting. And when the guitar is the only accompaniment is a note now and again. So special, especially the ending.
There is something about this girl singing live that just draws you in. She hits this real feeling inside of people young and old and that is something very unique.
"The City" is the final song in the U.S. release of her EP, Letters, Vol 1, inspired by a whirlwind relationship. Every song relates to that theme, but each one stands on its own. Songs on the EP, in order: Intro (Gucci Shoes); Poser; I Don't Like You; UR So Beautiful; Waste My Time; The City. (Two others on the Japanese release). It's a brilliant album for its songwriting, producing and concept. On becoming a Disney kid, no worries on that. The movie was filmed two years ago, and from everything I've learned and observed about her, she's very much her own person.

Awesome reaction. One of my favs of her recent work. Her confidence is always what makes her work unique. She has an "in-your-face" style that makes me pay attention to what she's doing.
Great reaction once more , Grace has many songs out there she has written , she can also make a cover her own and give it the Grace twist , for eg The River and In my Blood covers to name just a few. As for recommendations Grace singing Stray live from the Slipper room is a must see
She starred in Stargirl, and wrote ""Today and Tomorrow"" while on the set- at age 14! Stargirl is a YA novel, a coming-of-age , survivng HS kinda thing :D. Not my cup a tea but from the clips I've seen, she was gr8 in it. It's on Disney Plus if you're interested... I believe she did 3 songs in this venue, all of them brilliant. You can find them in the Vandervault :D
In this set she did The City and Poser. Is there one I missed? She did 3 on the RUclips stage last Sept for the release of Ur So Beautiful, USB, Waste My Time and Vienna.
Hi Ms M - Great reaction. Grace was 15 here - still growing and developing her style and artistry. You’ll really love her recent song Today and Tomorrow live performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show- just Grace and her Uke (captivating). Love your Tatts by the way. From Downunder
Loved your heartfelt honesty. Now, just look at those lyrics and imagine the music a writer for a conventional pop singer would come up with - it would be night and day. Her musical imagination is so independent. Even using Grace's music, a conventional singer would hit emphasis on words where you're expecting it. Grace doesn't, always handles it with finesse, a little change of pace maybe. And yes, Grace tells a story in sooo many of her songs, it's a trademark of her first album when 13. She has always loved style, playing around with style. Before AGT even, her favorite movie was Breakfast at Tiffany's. I'm sure she loved Audrey Hepburn's style, and Grace was thrilled to go Chanel's big show recently. But her style is eclectic, to say the least.
Please do The Story of Lucy by Grace. It's actually the song Beautiful Thing that she did when she was 12, but music video/ commercial for Windex is so moving that it turns me into a mess. You will not regret. Her cover of "River" by Leon Bridges is amazing too.
Hands down, this is her best live performance yet! Nice reaction btw. Check out her Slipper Room live performance of her Stray song. That's awesome too.
Columbia Records, (Grace’s label) heard some of the songs she was producing at home using Garage Band and decided to give her an upgrade. Last weekend they sent her some mix equipment and after two days she had written, performed and produced two songs she released to her fans. The VanderVault heard these and quickly made videos to get them out to the public. The first of the two was released today and it’s called “Faults.” Sorry I don’t have the link but you should be able to find it easy enough.
Not to worry about the Disney's movie. Take away the opening and closing credits, you'd not no it was made by Disney. Grace dose a great job in it. This song blew the top off of my rating scale.Grace has been experimenting with her computer, writing, editing and producing a complete soundtrack in her on bedroom. Her label (Columbia) found out what she was doing, and sent her a complete studio software package. The songs she has produced by herself are amazing! Grace hinted about doing a Rap song next "NOOOOOOOO!" If she dose, it will redefine what Rap is, forever.
She changes her look, at a time when that is exactly It was Stargirl. She went on AGT singing her original song accompanied by her self taught ukulele she bought with her own money. I think she has a mind and will of her own.
Hello maunalee ! I truly enjoy your take and I share your Goosie‘s and after revisiting graces journey some of her songs even make me well up, OK so I tear up, anyway her journey is awesome and I had the time over the last four years to take her in completely A little at a time and she is truly divine specially her originals. Just saying she is special and if you have the time to explore her journey the Goosie’s will Turn to tears of joy. I’ve never had anyone ever do this to me. Ever.
Hi Maunalee, keep it honest for sure,! Today anyone with a keyboard can be triggered by the smallest thing, this is a problem of our new modern times. Your channel is now one of my favorites! I just love singer-songwriters such as Grace and The Warning Band. One of the best things I love about both is that they are not about getting necessarily famous but in doing what they love every day as it makes them happy to create music!
16 now....15 when this was recorded....FYI if not known, she wrote this and it is one of the tracks on her EP Letters Vol 1....she is one of the most brilliant songwriters today, in my not so humble opinion. STARGIRL is the movie she starred in in the made for Disney's new streaming service DISNEY PLUS. This is her band, Melissa Dougherty (guitar and vocals), Ben Masters (Drums, vocals⁉) and Nolan Frank (keys, vocals and sometimes horn and guitar). They are so good together....I hope they stay together. You were not a fan of the first video you reacted to....said something about it being childish or something like that....just a reminder...she was 13 when that video was released. Song probably written at 12 or 13. That should have been considered in the reaction and the almost harsh criticism of it was not warranted...again in my not so humble opinion.. GREAT REACTION, BTW....this song is brilliant.
Geeez... Grace has a Wikipedia page that would catch you up on some of the well-known details about her. She was 15 here, and constantly changes her look. This particular alien iteration was in conjunction with her I Don't Like You music video, which is worth a look, and from her latest EP "Letters Vol I" The more you take the trouble to learn about her the more interesting she becomes.
I love blindly reacting and then having fans tell me about her. I don’t like to know backstories before I react. Just my preference though. Thanks for the info! The more I learn about her, the more impressed I am! :)
Love your reaction always stay honest, and Grace made me cry a little here, I am not a city girl either, and I felt the pain, not sure how to explain that, I mean whether I felt her pain or mine. Also, she is good to her reactors, last year she gave a very small concert for some of them and did a meet and greet.
Great reaction. Grace is brilliant. Her songwriting and vocal delivery are top notch. She did another song of her EP Letters Vol.1 at VEVO live, Poser. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/_l7YjnLrp88/видео.html The only thing I missed in this performance was the wonderful outro of the production: ruclips.net/video/xkrHPSPIQlo/видео.html
Thought she was trying to imitate Billy Eilish at first, which seems people do these days. I was about to bail when she picked up some steam, and it got better. I’ll have to listen again to see if I really like it. I loved her AGT performance, but it was mostly because I admired her bravery in being herself and her originality and spunk, more so than the actual music. I have only listened to her once since then, and that was some time ago. I will give her more listens, because as Maunalee pointed out, she could grow on me.
LOL Grace's style and genre changes like clothing set up every day of the week depending on her mindset and music that she has created, One day she is a pure jazz singer of an era long gone, next its the blues and soul or Pop. And yes even HipHop undertones in some of her songs. Or the aura of a high fashion model when she is on a runway. But all in all Grace is a well-grounded articulate human being that follows her own path, an unselfish young lwoman who provides for and helps reinstates music programs in schools of the inner cities that have lost there programs, Travels to Africa to promote and aid the children who hard of hearing and deaf children. She is a true good Samaritan always doing her humanitarian aid below the radar. And frankly Grace is truly one of a kind. She true spirit of music itself.
Grace VanderWaal "Today and Tomorrow". When filming Disney's movie Stargirl in which Grace has the lead, Grace wrote this song and the director read the lyrics and wanted it to be used in the movie. It was used in the closing credits which it fits so well if you know how the story ends in the book. Here are two versions, the first is used in the movie and was done on one take, of course with her playing the ukulele. This, as of now, is my favorite Grace song, and a love one at that. Please watch, you will be so glad you did. ruclips.net/video/dwOyZDc6A8E/видео.html The second is when she was on Jimmy Kimmel Live Show, again with just her and her playing the ukulele. ruclips.net/video/DEGlLk5j4u8/видео.html
Hi The Bosh! I was just thinking about hitting that subscribe button myself. A lot of new reactors are popping up claiming to know nothing about Grace, but start singing along to her song right after she starts. All fake. I know you are the real deal! looking forward to your next reaction.
Album cover...Heart....Dog and Butterfly. Have not thought about or that one years. If I remember correctly when first released it was one of those that reproduced the cover art on the vinyl itself. Wow. For me following Grace's career unfolding is interesting because like Pentatonix, having won a national televised talent show we can all see a peek of her 'secret origin'. Any rate, love your reacts and stay safe.
Great reaction! I believe that in the video you were referring to Grace being in the Disney movie "Stargirl". It seems to be a wholesome kids movie so hopefully nothing to worry about. By the way, there was a video uploaded yesterday in which Grace sang your favorite song - Billie Holiday's "I'll Be Seeing You" (ruclips.net/video/DhWheZ4tBuU/видео.html), it was a brilliant performance, you would give it a 10 as well.
Grace posted the song on Instagram asking if she should make it an official release. In the video that was posted, you can see Grace in the little inset singing in her bedroom with accompanyment from her computer.
I was just stating that she reminds me of them, not that she is a clone or even sounds like them. Just a statement! I also said that she’s incredibly unique and original :)
It wasn’t a show. It was a made for Disney Streaming service. It’s called STARGIRL based on a book by Jerry Spinelli. It’s more of an Indie flick than a Disney flick. Anyway this was a brilliant song and reaction. By the way she is 16 and was 14 when the movie was filmed. Just came out on Disney streaming service. It has a 71 rotten tomato rating with critics. Which is pretty good. She’s just a natural talent in whatever she does.
Yup, definitely more indie than Disney. Don't worry Mauna Lee; the New Mexico location inspired her to film the video for Stray there very shortly thereafter. That's about as far from Disney as can be, and was practically directed by her. A caution/pleading - don't look at this video until you've seen the live performance of Stray, the live debut at the Slipper Room. It's on her channel, on Vevo. Best emotional delivery of her career.
Rotten tomatoes critic score is iffy at best it's better after drinking a three pack of vodka. Reliability rating on the scores is +-70%. William Shatner could sing the phone book and if the Disney name was on it, it would rate 91%. Even if it was on the CIA'a list of enhanced interrogation techniques.
I was a huge fan in the beginning after AGT, then I kind of fell off the bandwagon a little lol. After hearing the last few songs of hers, I'm back. This one and the live Jimmy Kimmel performance put her back as one of my top performers. Also, her acting debut was very good. I think I mentioned this in another of your reactions, that she lives not too far from me in Corona infested New York - which is getting a little better.
Her style, hair and makeup at this time was heavily influenced by an Instagram model known as @uglyworldwide. Grace likes the look and likens it to what an alien would look like. Take a look at uglywoldwide and you can might can see it. Great reaction.
One of the things I like about Grace is that she does different versions of her songs. You have so many videos of Grace to watch. Grace VanderWaal - "Ex's & Oh's" Elle King cover at 12 on her back porch. You so need to watch this please. ruclips.net/video/7SbLtb3vv2s/видео.html
Hi! I’m watching from Japan. Sorry for my worse writing. I’d like you to react grace’s billboard awards speech, also with her moonlight ruclips.net/video/VQODLWSiyys/видео.html That speech tells us why these many of people in all over the world loves this girl. It’s not just because her voice or songs,we do love her greate personality and I’d like to share that with many person.
I am completely biased when it comes to Grace, just so you know. I grew up loving and playing the music of Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkle, The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, etc. At 14 and 15, I felt Grace was the most important artist since that era. Now, at 16, I think Grace is the most important and best singer/songwriter/performer of the modern era (post WWII). The reasons I feel this way are too complicated and numerous to go into here. Like so many of us Fanderwaals, IMO she doesn't get any where near enough recognition for her artistry. I also believe she is one of the most beautiful humans on the planet, inside and out. So thank you for your reactions to her music. Please keep doing these reactions. Your knowledge and insights are excellent!
I often think about that statement "she doesn't get the recognition" I ponder that really we don't want her to. If she gets as popular as Billie Eilish she will be steamrolled. Look how difficult it is for Taylor Swift and Billie-They can never go out-there is no normal life after you get 300 million views on one u-tube video. Let us pray that never happens to our Grace, let her evolve at her own pace. I like this pace!
@@dieterkoch6563 Yes and no. If Grace had 300 million views on one you tube video, it would change the course of her career without question. But I don't see her being steamrolled, ever. However, I am not hoping for that level of popularity anyway. I love her current pace as well, but I'm afraid it won't satisfy the label's moneymaking requirements. Something in between here and there is what I hope for.
@@neilmikesell6075 It is exactly that, that I would hope to avoid. The industry sharks feeding frenzy around tens of millions of dollars is something (awful) to behold. They chew them up and they spit them out.
@@neilmikesell6075 You elequently layed out what makes Grace so special and one of a kind and I totally agree. What I dissagree with the idea she has to satisfy her label's money makeing requirements. Don't you think other labels wouldn't love to have Grace in their stable. Her song writing ability alone would make her invaluable. I see that her label sent her more recording equipment and software when they saw she was producing music at home. Trust me they know what they've got. No need to worry about fame.
@@dieterkoch6563 Again, yes and no. I think the feeding frenzy is when Grace picks up her marbles and goes home. She won't be chewed up and spit out, she won't play their game. But she just was saying on Instagram Live few days ago, (as she has before) that she'd chuck it and go to college if her level of fame was not enough to sustain her career. That would be horrible to me, as a fan. The world of music of today without Grace in it would indeed be strange. If Grace chooses to leave, I would support her in her choice, of course. But I would be sad.
Go and have fun...watching her do this song in concert. Starting out accepting her fate, ending up raging against it, she embodies the song. This was in LA last August. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/DZj28HaclQg/видео.html
Maunalee I've notice the pictures of all the great musicians on your wall Not to mention counting crows and Fiona Apple and all of those you mention on this reaction Please keep reaction to grace Vanderwaal songs and someday you will have her picture on there to
Just stumbled across your channel and saw Simon and Garfunkel behind you. Stellar! Have a request for a reaction to Avi Kaplan who is a huge S&G fan and who is signed to the same label as Paul. Most people ask for his videos but my request would be for a beautiful official audio. Sweet Adeline Part 2 . Subbed.
I think she me more authentic than Angelina. Angelina is great, don't get me wrong, but Grace knows who she is and writes her own music. She's doesn't compromise and I respect that.
LOL isnt that what a reaction channel is all about, reacting and giving YOUR opinion. Anyway, I enjoy your reactions and your unique platform and format LOL would like to see a lava lamp though to go along with that semi-working eightball of yours. As far as Grace is concerned her compositional and melodic creations are really quite scary coming from a sixteen-year-old> imagine her level of creational composition when she is in her 20's, 30's let alone the progression of her voice. I think she is going to be a monster in the industry in front of and behind the camera. ps if she chooses so.
You should do a quick study of Grace Vanderwaal - Wikipedia is a good start. Then you will understand why Grace is awesome, unique, lyrics way ahead of her age. I subscribed because you are starting to realize what an amazing young artist she is. Research her bio, please. Singer songwriter, model, actress, award-winning, philanthropist, and yet only 16.
I suggested the very same thing. Says she'd rather fumble around speculating rather than have at least a minimal foundation of facts, and get her info from the comments. Different strokes - but her initial nattering had me dropping off by 2:30.
@@SuperPalaver If you have a problem with "her initial nattering", why don't you just skip to the reaction part of the reaction video. That is what I do when I find a reactor boring or offensive in some way. There are plenty out there. I happen to like this ones extras, but if i didn't, I wouldn't hesitate to skip to the part that interests me.
@@erich7558 Why do you persist in thinking you have the right to tell people what to do? Did you ever stop to consider I might have been hanging on for an actual interesting comment? Nah. You just want to criticize me. Stop it. If you don't like my comments, take your own advice and scroll by. But don't you dare try and limit my right to free speech. I spent too much time in uniform to allow that.
@@SuperPalaver "Why don't you" is not telling you anything. And it is not criticizing you. It is a question together with what I intended as a helpful suggestion. Taking your rights away??? By asking a question??? And making a helpful suggestion?? Sensitive much??? BTW you are not alone in having been in uniform. I spent my time in Vietnam.
@@erich7558 Hold on. You're forgetting telling me not to "Run someone down" while praising someone else. That's pure fascism. I'll type this very slowly so even you can understand it: Keep your "Suggestions" to yourself. I have ZERO interest in them. Pretty sure others feel the same. I'm a VN vet too - but it didn't turn me into a leftist.
Dislikes and likes are added up, so any reaction is good as far as Google is concerned :) It would be fun to do a video you REALLY dislike and burn it to the ground. Or maybe not.
I'm actually surprised that there aren't serious reactors that do rip songs in an honest way, not just for laughs. Maybe if someone could get artists themselves to talk about old releases of their own and why they wish they had done a song little bit differently or not at all. Maybe that would be more accepting from their fans a bad songs. But realizing it music like just like any art is personal taste so you're awful song maybe someone else's smash hit. But on the other hand, it probably wouldn't be very popular and who needs more nastiness in this world even if it is honest review.
Hahahaha! It’s crazy to me that I get so many dislikes, especially when I say I like a song but just not all of it. Then again, it’s the internet, so 🤷🏻♀️. Buuuut I’m always going to be honest. I swore to myself I’d never pander, so I guess it comes with the territory haha
@@jyee2217 Interestingly enough, Grace just did this a few days ago on an Instagram Live Q&A with her fans. We found out that she hates "Just a Crush" off her Just the Beginning album. It seems Grace is always willing to show us she's human. Just part of her incredible beauty.
@@neilmikesell6075 She's been distancing herself from a lot of her early work. But it indicates she is always going to keep moving forward artistically. Though to be honest, I actually like Just A Crush. Good melody and I love the line "consider me one of the dudes." But Letters Vol. 1 feels like someone who is now in control, which I very much doubt she was at 12 or 13. And it is definitely her best work overall. Though Grace will never convince me that Beautiful Thing is not a classic.
I hope her ever-growing fame and visibility don't totally curtail her ability to lurk the way it did for Merv Griffin. He said that whenever he tried to lurk after getting famous, people would point and say "Hey, who's that lurking over there? Isn't that Merv Griffin?" I just hope that doesn't happen to Grace.
Yes, she said that for a while but now she says she'd like to take what she's learned and apply it to another movie. But you're right, she wouldn't pursue it as a career though I have no doubt she'd be successful. How someone who never acted before can take the lead in a movie at the age of 14 I don't know. I'm hoping she gets a Golden Globe nomination.
Lol...more dislikes than likes...that's unusual for a good reactor but tells people that u can be candid and honest in sharing your opinion. For all the gv fans, grace herself said recently in an IG live that she's not thrilled with all the songs she's released.
J Yee 117 likes, 2 dislikes. You must have watched, when the two trolls gave their usual dislikes, before the fans had time to watch it. In her IG she mentioned only Just A Crush to be a bad song. And the way, Perfectly Imperfect was produced, she felt that it wasn’t her who released the EP.
Dam missed that one as a Fan of Band Maid which Japanese song was it? Wow Grace with her three piece band. Thank goodness there are four different types of singing young Ladies that would with their bands make one heck of a gig to go to and see. Angelina Jordon, Mimi & Josefin, Connie Talbot, Courtney Hadwin, and Grace Vanderwaal. All so different own songs own styles of singing strange thing they are all female. As pop music singing with great voices but it is all boring and if there was a band to be with them The warning. By the way I have Grace Vanderwaal's Album what a great reaction with truth. I wonder if could do a reaction to Mary Spender cover of Sultans of Swing or Leo Moracchioli's cover of Dance monkey?
It's the first time I've ever heard anyone say Grace reminded them of Fiona. I hear Fiona when I listen to Billy Eilish but there are Grace songs where people have said she sounds a bit like Billy
I didn´t like Grace in the begining and I reacted with great incredulity when she won AGT. However with time listen to her original songs, so thoughtful and mature I goy use to her unusual voice, which is not that great but she can transmit the emotions the of the lirics she is singing.
I’ve never been a big fan of Grace Vanderwall but I’m a fan of you and your honesty so I. Give a like for you and if I could I would give a dislike for Grace.
I am sorry to see that you are a Grace hater, but I actually do understand it. I have been a hater of some popular artists in my day. Not everything is for everyone. But it is still disappointing when you are unable to share your appreciation of something you see as beautiful with others. But life is full of disappointments.
Eric H I don’t hate Grace Vanderwal , “I don’t hate anyone, I just like some people more then others “ Will Rogers I’m no fan of her voice or music that doesn’t mean I hate her. I don’t know her she seems to be a nice person. Hate is a powerful word that should not be used lightly or at all. Unless we’re talking about Hawaiian pizza 🍕😂
Hi again... Angelina Jordan Astar's grandma seems to have just put out another one of her videos she shot (while mama was shooting on an I-pad as can be seen in the video...of a 2014 concert Jazz Festival, where she sings SUMMERTIME, BANG BANG, and FLY ME TO THE MOON. About 10 min. so maybe react to all three? This is at 8 yrs old, a bit after winning NORWAY GOT TALENT in 2014. Of course she is young.. but her artistry in TIMING and tone, for a lil shit, is just neat to see. She is not emoting too much, but this is probably a big gig for her in 2014.... most would crumble!!! LOL. IF ANYTHING, you have to love the head full of red roses. ruclips.net/video/jU_BkC9L7Q0/видео.html
I like their when she started but she's going a little bit downhill. The celebrity bug Bit her a little too early she lost hopefully she will find her way back parents need to step in.
Wtf are you talking about she is more creative now then she has ever been she says she has more freedom now then she did back then get over it she is not 12 anymore
Not following Graces growth then , she is not 12 anymore , the ukulele was Graces start but she has so much more talent in music than just composing off a ukulele , just check out what she produced on her own in Happy Songs and Faults to name just two
From art point of view she is better than ever... but she is teen as well and if you expect her to stop develop, grow, make mistakes, stay 12 old girl you lost you mind... And she need to do in front of judgmental people like you who think that have some moral superiority over others especial young people.
Stll unimpressed. Never understood her success on AGT, Her voice has matured since, but still has that child-like whine. Apparently I’m in the minority, but’s my thoughts.
Understood. It's fair. I love great singers who can make you feel. It's all about the connection to the audience. Great singing is all about a personal connection and not just vocal technique. For me, Grace does that.
Still not impressed with your little cover artist I feel you are a little jealous of grace and the fact she is not a cover artist with a few mediocre original songs .

The movie is Star Girl. It kinda seems like it was almost written about her, probably why they chose her.
What a great reaction girl, and she's only 16 years old :-)
her song, her production, her instrumental construct, her video concept and layout. Hell, her everything at sixteen dwell on that a little. :)
All the elephants in the room dance when Grace sings about them.
She’s not afraid to attend to any subject.

Awesome reaction. One of my favs of her recent work. Her confidence is always what makes her work unique. She has an "in-your-face" style that makes me pay attention to what she's doing.
I absolutely love song Poser from the same album...
@@Aboz She only did 2 here but , watch the movie and it was filmed at the beginning of her freshman yr 9th grade.
thats the best one from her yet in my opinion
Hi Ms M - Great reaction. Grace was 15 here - still growing and developing her style and artistry. You’ll really love her recent song Today and Tomorrow live performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show- just Grace and her Uke (captivating). Love your Tatts by the way. From Downunder
THIS!. Her live performances are the best!
👍🏼😎❤️ Grace VanderWaal Rocks!!!😎💜💜💜
John, thanks for the info. Where/How did you learn that Columibia Records sent Grace some mix equipment?
@@davethomas4569 She said it on a livestream
Yes , Thank you . More Grace Please.
My new favorite Grace song.
She stared in the movie Stargirl when she was 14. It was filmed in new Mexico. The city came out when she was 15. She just turned 16 in January.
She changes her look, at a time when that is exactly
It was Stargirl. She went on AGT singing her original song accompanied by her self taught ukulele she bought with her own money. I think she has a mind and will of her own.
She has a way of giving everybody who listens to her goosebumps, LOL She is a wonderful writer, singer and story teller.
Ever.
Yes. I don't fully understand it but I haven't been a fan of anyone in quite a few years. But Grace's appeal transcends talent.
This is Grace's most powerful song. Just look at the pain in her face at the end. She feels what she sings.
I love her
Check out "Today and Tomorrow" live on Jimmy Kimmel. Truly other worldly performance
Maunalee, Thanks. I hope you check out the Jimmy Kimmel performance!
Really enjoyed this reaction...Also, Grace performed a great cover on same Jimmy Kimmel night called “13”.
The song is from her movie, Star Girl.
Grace played a rebellious non conforming ukulele playing teenager in the Disney Film "Star Girl" so she was a natural to get the part.
This particular alien iteration was in conjunction with her I Don't Like You music video, which is worth a look, and from her latest EP "Letters Vol I"
The more you take the trouble to learn about her the more interesting she becomes.
The live is great, but because of that outro, you gotta listen to the studio version when you hear that song for the first time.
this is off her new album lettera1. all of the tracks are next level compared to the mainstream. she is reinventing music and transcending genere

Love those album covers!
I totally forgot about this song. I was expecting City Song, which I prefer, but this is great too.
My main singers are The Warning, Grace, Dimash & Billie but that's it! Great reaction!
I beg of you please do more Grace, she has not released a bad song yet
She was in Disney movie Stargirl based on best selling book of same name. Not on any Disney series.
Forget about who she reminds you of she is totally unique. Her music will be around long after we've gone.
I was just stating that she reminds me of them, not that she is a clone or even sounds like them. Just a statement! I also said that she’s incredibly unique and original :)
@@musicwithmaunalee Thanks for rely.Sorry not meant to be mean spirited.
@@donjones4719 Agree Agree Agree! She is just so good live, she brings herself into her songs and draws you in!

I’d like you to react grace’s billboard awards speech, also with her moonlight ruclips.net/video/VQODLWSiyys/видео.html
That speech tells us why these many of people in all over the world loves this girl.

"Perfectly imperfect" is the name of her first EP. This Indie singer/ songwriter had me from the start. She's no Angelina but doesn't try to be.

Dislikes and likes are added up, so any reaction is good as far as Google is concerned :)
It would be fun to do a video you REALLY dislike and burn it to the ground.

She said she’s not looking into a movie career
Yes, she said that for a while but now she says she'd like to take what she's learned and apply it to another movie. But you're right, she wouldn't pursue it as a career though I have no doubt she'd be successful. How someone who never acted before can take the lead in a movie at the age of 14 I don't know. I'm hoping she gets a Golden Globe nomination.
Lol...more dislikes than likes...that's unusual for a good reactor but tells people that u can be candid and honest in sharing your opinion.

If you're not a fan, why are you watching her video? Dah.
Thank you for your honesty! It’s refreshing in a sea of hateful comments lol!
Nutella because I enjoy Maunalee’s opinions Evan when she’s reviewing an artist I’m not crazy about.
I am sorry to see that you are a Grace hater, but I actually do understand it. I have been a hater of some popular artists in my day. Not everything is for everyone. But it is still disappointing when you are unable to share your appreciation of something you see as beautiful with others. But life is full of disappointments.
Eric H I don’t hate Grace Vanderwal ,
“I don’t hate anyone, I just like some people more then others “
Will Rogers
I’m no fan of her voice or music that doesn’t mean I hate her.

@@Calers-gu1ib Hunh??? A girl is not allowed to have a deep voice and still be a girl???
@@erich7558 Well you clued me in, I thought "female" covered girls and women
@@Calers-gu1ib Female impersonator?? A male impersonating a female?? Girl or woman?? What's the dif?? Altho at 13 I don't think I'd go woman.
@@Calers-gu1ib Your point being???
I like their when she started but she's going a little bit downhill. The celebrity bug Bit her a little too early she lost hopefully she will find her way back parents need to step in.
Duck!
Sounds like she's a little over your head now to me .
You're ignoring her songwriting though.
Still not impressed with your little cover artist I feel you are a little jealous of grace and the fact she is not a cover artist with a few mediocre original songs .
I wonder if could do a reaction to Mary Spender cover of Sultans of Swing or
Leo Moracchioli's cover of Dance monkey?
