@@mindygilliam8624 hi, I think I have about 5 gooopy looking spiral galaxy coasters in my ‘dud bin’ I had to be patient when adding the color - I did a 2nd video on spiral galaxy where I had much better success
Please please please tell me the color you used that cured blue. You’re an amazing artist and my favorite artist for resin. Thank you so much for your kind tutorials.
Love this! If I wanted to try this as a paperweight I am Thinking I would just reverse the steps because the top of the paper weight as it is being made would be the bottom and then we flip it over....
HI, when using a mold for coasters the resin creeps up the sides and when you pop it out, it has a sharp edge to it, the alternative would be using the bottom, but for me that takes the fun out of the design here is a comparison: (go to 12:28} ruclips.net/video/uu7-6snHEZk/видео.html
Another Beauty Christy I too was looking forward to this one and as usual didn’t disappoint 😍🙏 somehow I got confused and maybe it was lighting but in the 3rd or 4th layer you were using purple galaxy but not sure if it was the bling it blue interference that turned the purple blue but it looked like it was blue while actually putting the spiral in...? And my next question is the center when you defined it was that the gold interference or blue? But that teal glow powder I love I use it too even in the bottle it’s fun to put the black light on it! Thanks again for your perfection and showing us how you pay attention to detail! Your the best !
You are right, the Interference blue takes over the purple - I really love the ghostly effect it adds. I have noticed that the "Purple Galaxy" always cures on the bluer side, but this was the first time it looked like I cam back to a different project the next day :-) The 5th layer is the only layer where I crack out the gold, and don't use the blues at all. One thing I did learn when doing this video is I didn't make it clear on between 22:21 and about 25:00 that I let the resin sit for about 15 minutes to make it easier to manipulate it. I also learned in the course of using the glow powders, - I mixed both powders with Interference blue that they look EXACTLY the same when using them - so I should have just picked one color when it glows, you can see slight color variance between the two, but only, because I knew I used two
Resin As You Wish . Thanks for your response also I saw that the resin was setting because saw the stringy texture but yeah terrific I will try them myself but I already know I don’t have the patience you do😉😘
4:38 3rd Layer (2nd Spiral)
7:25 4th Layer (add contrast)
22:21 5th Layer
31:04 Final Coat
37:42 Finished
39:04 SEE IT GLOW!
I keep making to much resin and over working it how many tries until you got the result you were after?

sounds like a great idea! I'd love to try paperweights but I haven't gotten to it I want to see when you are done :-)
...will do! I have only just started to do those !
Curious to know why you sand and put a top coat on ? Don't you use a table top resin?

Patty Ruland hi! Please check the comments on this video for details ruclips.net/video/uu7-6snHEZk/видео.html
Looks great! Thank you for sharing! Do you wait for your resin to set up a bit before starting on the spirals?
Alejandra B I didn’t on this coaster, I’ve been experimenting and the next one I’ll be timing how long to wait before starting the spiral
@@ResinAsYouWish Oh, okay. Thank you! Looking forward to see how it goes.
