Your home-made rear bed is an absolute triumph, Josh - I even like the subtle difference in the paint finishes, which gives me the impression that the bed was a junkyard find, from a wrecked truck of the same colo(u)r which had lived a different life and acquired a different patina.
You'll have to run a BEC to up the voltage to the servo. Just increasing the Lipo won't send any more power to the servo. Also keep the steering arm on the outer hole on the servo arm. It gets more travel that way. The BEC in the ESC is only 3amps. You'll want a external BEC and you can turn it up to 7.2v and 10amps.
Rc Guru it could operate worse but I’ve not ever seen that happen. Yes the amps are not adjustable. It’s just that it can handle 10 amps. Either way a bec is the best way to improve steering.
@@mjderstine I'll be putting a BEC on a wing that I'm building. It is adjustable voltage so I'll set it at the max voltage the servo can handle. I have a different BEC for the RX.
It definitely looks better with a bed. A Truggy has to be done just right to look good, this one wasn't. The crew cab/shorty bed combo looks pretty cool. -"Angry" Dave
What lipo battery are you using? 3s 3000 but how many C? Did you install the bed? Thanks I just got one of these and I like lipo batteries but I don’t want to fry the esc lol
anyone saying this truck isn't capable doesn't know how to drive and probably has NEVER ACTUALLYBEEN CRAWLING... as far as realism goes this thing is as close as it gets ...
The geometry is junk on that panard and steering link, just as you described within 2 mins of the video.. ugh. Why can't rc4wd get anything right..lol but damn you for installing a box on it. Now I want one. Lmfao
Jesse Foster it took me two rc4wd purchases to realize they are only good for looking at and or driving on ultra tailor made crawler courses that look scale but aren’t a challenge

I use helios RC 3000 3s 45C with no problems on mine. I have a video on how I made the bed as well.
Yes I seen your videos and I like them thank you
I can tell it has lots of clearance issue sunless sits just your driving skills
RCHobbySteve I think it’s the truck. Every video I see of this truck it’s struggling to do anything
I like it 👍🏼

Wheel weights might help the tyres have a bit more gravity helping them grip more. And less chance of roll over..maybe..
