I just picked up that Bitfenix Nova MESH mATX case this week. Such good value! The case also has an ARGB Fan Hub/controller built into the case so you can cycle ARGB colours even if your motherboard doesn't have ARGB headers. The fans are also standard 3-pin ARGB instead of some weird propriety connector like Deepcool ARGB fans.
@@101kickart I kept them. The fans are like any other ARGB fan and in the mATX case the 3 fans are perfect as 2 intake and 1 exhaust. The pre-programmed modes aren't bad either.
@@101kickart The bitfenix website mentions the maximum gpu clearence. From what I remember it's between 300mm and 340mm so that covers almost all GPUs except for the 3080s/3090s/4080s/4090s with their monstrous heatsinks.
Thank you for this much needed video. Alot of great info in one spot. Im just beginning my pc build journey. Great channel to learn from while i go down the rabbit hole.
If you live near a microcenter, you could also get the Montech X1 for 44.99 and is an ATX case that includes 4x120 (albeit ARGB) fans and is basically a cut down version of X3 Mesh. True, it's lightweight, but for the price, it provides tons of airflow on a tight budget.
been thinking of upgrading my sister's and my own PC, especially my sister's PC case and boy did this video come at a right time! Great video can't wait for the next one!
Man this video already helped. Just watched another build on different channel and immediately recognized the case as potential E-waste. Nice job. I will keep referring to this guide for sure.
I enjoyed watching your PC case ranking tier list video! Your insights and detailed explanations helped me to understand the different options available. I'm definitely going to consider buying one of the top-ranked cases you recommended, and I appreciate your guidance in helping me make that decision. Keep up the great work!
17:00 I use that case and can say thats its absolutely amazing for the price, it's got amazing airflow and pretty deep back panel for cable management while also looking really clean
Great vid! I had the opportunity to build on the GAMDIAS Apollo E2 Elite and was plesantly surprised with the build experience and price. Only major gripe for me is how restrictive the front panel is. But for a budget case and build, it was really nice.
What about the Fractal Design Focus G? Not the Mini mATX case, the regular ATX case. The Focus G is what I use for my desktop PC. It's $54.99 on Newegg; has lots of room for a variety of hardware; has great airflow with support for up to six case fans (and it even comes with two fans preinstalled); can be easily cleaned and dusted; has a nice display window that's made of durable plastic; and, the big one in my book, two 5.25" expansion bays--one of which can be used to install a Blu-Ray drive.
It's nice that after some complaining (mainly Gamers Nexus?) thankfully a lot of cases are back to adding ventilation at the front. Think I'd be tempted to go for that DeepCool CH370, I've got some fans about and I like the aesthetic. Or so was my line of thought until you pulled out that ASUS AP201, bottom-top airflow like the good old SilverStone Raven cases and a very simple exterior that would fit in anywhere. How have I not heard of this case before. There's nothing wrong with my current NR400 case but now I want to replace it. [edit] Woaw, the white version of AP201 is THOROUGHLY white. Every single one of the Internal cables is utterly white. That might actually be something my partner likes with her love for white PC gear.
I loved this series. especially with all the new updated stuff im making my new pc after june so this will help a lot. Can you please do a budget monitor tier list next pls
I think that the case is the most durable item in your build so you should not mind a lot for the budget, even adding 20/30 euros can make a difference between a plastic case and a good one
Enjoyed the tier list as always. There were some pretty interesting inexpensive cases in there that I hadn't considered before. Are you going to do a list of cases for the next step up in price (say... $90 to $150 or so)?
I bought my first pc a few months ago and I got lucky with the case/chassis. A Super Frame Elite for $61, coming with 3 ARGB fans and a supporter control for them. It's one of my favorite components.
okay, you have convinced me to upgrade from my lousy D tier Aerocool Cyclon to the Gamdias Apollo. my Aerocool is so bad. I take the side panel off, or front part, and my temps improve 20c!!!
It seems like every computer techie on RUclips in the last few months has been doing a build in this case. I'm surprised he didn't review it given how it's been trending. I'm not entirely sold on it and I'm a little baffled why it's been so popular. I guess it's the appearance that people like?
I ordered the Montech air 100 lite for 37 dollar brand new, got my at wootware, they got new shipments(South Africa). This case is cheaper than the one you showed me, the micro center one is 60 dollar and this one that I ordered is 37 dollars(with tax included).
I like the q300L and have liked for a long time before I got it. Its a very minimalistic look and it doesnt look outdated at all. Problem is... it overheats a lot without fans and the ventilation holes are small, but without the dust filters it performs nice
How would you rank the Vetroo M03 with 4 argb fans for $80? The one you have here just has the one fan, but there's an option for +3 nice looking fans. Maybe top A tier or even S tier?
The big issue of the Bitfenix Nova Mesh M-ATX I see is that the white version costs double... (And by now I think black cases look like garbage bins.) I personally also thought the logo looks a bit cheesy, but I guess that would be ignored. And whenever I see that little back part next to the graphics card closed, instead of having little holes in it (compared to some), it bothers me. But I believe one can open that or take it out... GPUs in mATX cases can use that little help a lot.
Ftifst time builder here! I just went through a very bad separation from my partner of 5yr (my choice) and experienced a few traumatic trials and tribulations... I'm very much happy with my Adata Xpg Starker Air. Only ₹5000. Approx $60. Great build quality. Grommets on every pass through. Even have vertical Gpu mount.

For my upgrade I got an Antec AX20 Elite which has been perfect so far, I dont live in the US and putting my currency into dollars it costed me 25USD brand new. It came with 4 pre installed rgb fans, it has a great front mesh panel and glass on the side. The only thing I dont like about it was the cable management space.
the nova mesh reminds me of the Kolink citadel mesh, it's about the same price and also has basically the same amount of features. i would definitely want to see where it would end up on the list as it seems quite competetive in terms of what you get for the price
very few cases have usb type c connector on the front panel. I dislike putting the power supply up front since you have to run a power cable from the back to the front. Thanks for your tier lists, it helps to avoid some lemons.
This is exactly what I needed. My Asrock x470 mobo is dying and wanted to get off the ITX platform without paying $200+ for a full tower, Phanteks G300A is going to be a great case for my needs!
Appreciate all the effort you put into this list! I'm not too sure I agree with the criteria for what makes a great budget case, however - so long as the air flow is good, and the price is cheap, then I'm not much concerned with how dated the aesthetics are.
What do you think about Fractal Design Pop Mini Air? Or the Silverstone Precision PS15 PRO ARGB (I know it's a bit old). I want to get a small matx case and those are two of the ones available at my nearest computer store in Canada. I also would love to get the Asus Prime AP201, but I'm not sure about the fan/cooling situation with the PSU in the front. Nice vid, Is it possible to do one all about Mid Tower cases? I think it would be cool to see say the nx410 compared to a 4000d or the lian li 205 mesh c.
Notnsure if i agree with most of the list 😅 Many of the cases have those flimsy mesh sheet dust filters for the PSU and pci slot covers which need to be broken out - both a big minus in build quality. The g300a is great, but has issues with front USB (the cutout is too narrow for flash drives). Many of these cases do not have perforated PSU shrouds, so most of the bottom fans air will only cause turbulence inside the case and not contribute to GPU cooling. I also dont see how cases lik the CH370 or the AP201 fall short in comparison to the Nova Mesh. They are both more feature complete and offer better built quality (despite inhavent built in the matx nova mesh, but only in the atx version)
Now I think I have buyers remorse a little for buying that Antec NX200M case last month from Newegg I mean it was on sale for 48 dollars was it a bad move? I don't have any plans on adding a big GPU in my system so that's not a concern to me since I'm not a content creator or hardcore PC gamer.
So hard to find the 205m in canada. Only place is amazon where third party sellers selling for over $200. Matx cases are few and far between. Considering the ch370 if it went on sale again or if the Fractal Pop Air Mini goes on sale
Montech air 100 is a pretty great case. I had a pc built in it, I ended up returning it for the corsair 4000d airflow. After living with the Corsair, I'm swapping to the AP201.
Would it help the Zalman T6 improve its rank if it was cheaper? I got one direct from Zalman's 'certified refurbished' page for $27 including shipping. I also submit that this will be better than just leaving my mobo on top of its box. 😆
The Asus AP201 would be a beauty (at least metaphorically), if it had even the option of front fans. But nope. I detest the idea of bottom fans. But at least it has a side-mesh version which is a stroke of genius in this desperately trendy window world. Although a few years earlier a side-mesh would be very common and improve cooling everywhere. Especially for small cases. (When I see an ITX case with a graphics card choking right in front of a window, isntead of putting a mesh there, I get an ill feeling.)

I need some help here, I am buying a case, and I really like the look of the deep cool ch370, but it is micro atx, is there an atx version of the case with the same front mesh design? Thanks in advance
