Can't believe I watched this whole video, even though I didn't really need to. I was in between the Lian Li Lancool 207 and the Montech Air 903 base, either a fantastic choice. Thanks.
As a Montech AIR 903 Max owner, I can say that is the best one for air flow and cable management. The only downside it's to get compatible PWN fans for the bottom side. Everything else is incredible for only 75$. Best quality-price relationship hands down.
Thank you for such an amazing video! I always watch your tier list videos for each PC component with great enthusiasm. I'm planning to build my own setup soon. Much respect!
1:31:35 I never had any thoughts of AIO and motherboard incompatibility, until I recently built a gaming PC with a Montech HyperFlow ARGB 360 in my NZXT H6 Flow and ROG B650-A. One of the fans on the AIO is barely touching the motherboard's VRM heatsink, but they still fit in the H6 Flow together.
Thanks for doing all these. Appreciate your comments and sense of humor and stuff. Gotta say tho, the Lancool 216 is absolutely an S tier case. Top performer on thermals on GN tests and super kwality. You dinged it a whole tier for vertical ridges on the front or something? Hmm... The big two central Lian Li 160mm ARGB fans upfront are still pretty cool lookin, imho. ...and a Type C upfront for you! ; ) Err...why exactly is that Type C upfront such a huge factor? The port itself is always there 2 ft away in back. Lots of them. Some other dudes think a reset button or separate audio and mic ports upfront are big deals. I guess we all have our pet peeves.
As a Lancool 207 owner, I wouldn’t be surprised if the front PSU shroud becomes more widely adopted. It’s like you’re getting the benefits of a dual chamber/fish tank case (ie having good airflow directly into your gpu) without spending dual chamber prices. Especially as NVME drives become more and more common and some people just ditch the 3.5 and 2.5 drives altogether.
Recently did a build with the Montech AIR 903, and I almost couldn't believe how good it was in quality and value for the price. Crazy good, def recommend. 👌
I got the Corsair 3500X for $80 during black friday, and seeing that the A-Tier Antec is basically the same thing, Im very happy to put my current build inside of it today!
1:21:17 Im building my first PC with your help Marc & Joseph. You pcbuild site and instructional vids are helping me to achieve this. Btw, Sky Two, great case(thanks Marc)👍 cant wait, lets go
I've built in the HAF 500 and the Montech XR, and they are really good, the montech fans are small 120mm but the two on the side are reverse fans, A-RGB splitters for daisy chaining. The gimmicky fan in the HAF 500 can be directed at the HDD's or the GPU.
Just built a pc using the lian li lancool 207,and can confirm, its great case for the money. In the UK,no one had stock in black,so went with white, but it still looks neat, and understated ,if thats your thing. As mentioned in most reviews of this case, its easy to build in with lots of different routing points for cables,to keep things neat when connecting up to the motherboard, with the only downside,as mentioned being the limited space for the psu cables. I certainly wouldnt recommend a non modular psu,and found things pretty tight, even without using any sata cables. Also i had to move the lower cable clamp,as it was right in the way of one of the major connectionons,to the motherboard,on a MSI Tomahawk B650 wifi. Tooless panels is a nice bonus to,but watch your psu width,as its very tight in there. Also gpu anti sag bracket ,is a welcome addition for tri fan cards. People have complained that the top cable mount hooks, are not holding cables firmly, which is true, but you can turn them upside down, which should have been the correct orientation to begin with. You will have to redrill the clamps, which is not a issue,as the clamps are removed ,and reinstated in seconds.
I have Jonsbo D31 Mesh SC (the one with LCD screen), it's more or less same chassis as Asus AP201 (just different panels), you can put a 360mm rad at the top and still mount PSU in place using the specified mounting slots. However, it does reduce space for the GPU as you have to use the second last mount slot. With that said, cable management can get tricky, especially if you use RGB fans, lol
Believe me when i say I NEEDED THIS because im about to do my first serious pc in years and i have been drowning in info and models and pros with cons with hundreds of cases so maybe with this i will be able to start the journey
1:29:06 i managed to snag an h5 flow on sale for like 55 bucks a few months ago, i gotta say i thoroughly agree that the usb layout is silly. the cable management is all right, and i can't say that the build quality is "stellar" - it's all right. throw a pack of those thermalright fans for $13 in there, and for 70 bucks that's pretty insane value
I think you're being generous to the H6 Flow, mainly because that case is friggin HUGE and being an all white case without RGB case fans kinda defeats the purpose for so many builds. I can understand black cases going without RGB fans but white cases dont look as nice without and lighting or colour. Also Montech has already become the king of value for cases, they just need to make it easier to buy their fans and make more AIO's.
I snagged a TermalTake View 270 Plus TG off Amazon on cyber Monday for 49$! It’s a nice case really B plus tier is fair but from my pov at 49$ it’s an S tier case lol
Came here to see if my case was rated... my case wasn't rated. 😢 One day APNX C1, you'll be rated. 😅 And yes, it's $99 now on Amazon for the non-color change paint job.
My MSI Mag Forge 321R does have a USB C. Don’t know why the Amazon one didn’t have it. I got mine from Microcenter btw. Same start price but got a discount for a special promo they were doing. Decent case for what I paid for it. Fans are quiet as well.
Got my montech air 100 lite (non-rgb) for 28$ (conversion). Detachable front mesh, magnetic side glass, 3 usb-A front panel. Yes, no usb-C, but what do you expect. For a m-ATX case i think airflow is decent, keeps my 7600x well below 75°C with PA120.
Criteria number 5 is super impotent. I built my pc in... 2018-2019, and I got a big, BIG chonky case that I thought would have plenty of space for a gpu. Turns out the extra drive bays, which I ended up not needing, took 3 inches off of how long a card I could put in. Finally updated my case end of last year and it has way more space for when I upgrade the gpu. Pretty sure my other case would have gone in D or F tier. Too expensive, cheap build quality, and just too small inside. Haven't watched the whole video yet, but I'm curious where my NEW case ranks. I think I have an idea, but I'll hold on off saying which tier I think it should be until I see it.
I was able to get the CORSAIR iCUE 4000X for just $98 on Black Friday. It looks like it’s still on a nice sale. Corsair cases didn’t get much love in this video, but I’m hoping it will give a high quality, premium experience.
You should probably also make a note with the Lancool 207 that for motherboards it only supports up to a certain width. Meaning that if you have a motherboard that is wider than normal it won’t fit. You’ll have to make certain that the motherboard you have or looking to buy will fit. It’s like Jayztwocents said: it will support ATX motherboards, but only if it is a *true* ATX form factor. If it goes any wider then it won’t fit.
@ yeah I was talking about full-size ATX, because to my understand there are “ATX” motherboards that go wider than the official ATX measurement. And these motherboards would fit fine in any other case, but not the Lancool 207. The Lancool 207 only supports a max width of I believe 244mm. Edit: oops I thought you were talking about mATX. You actually watched the video! Lets go!!!
Do I need a new case? Nope. Am I going to watch anyway? You betcha!
I have a Phanteks Eclipse G500A and I like it a lot. The fact that the on button is located on the front is almost worth it alone, no cats jumping up from nowhere and turning it off at critical moments 😂 Got it on sale and found it easy to build in as a first timer.
Anybody have any personal thoughts on the Phanteks NV5 MK2?
Y para cuando tierlist de MB X870E?
Im currently using the darkFlash DY470
