Man, I didn't think 6700XT's have dropped by so much on the used market. Nice to see the 5700 up there though. At such a low price, it's a tinkerer's dream card.
@@RaphaelSwinkels Brand new 6700xt sells for 380-400 euros max, while the cheapest 3070 costs 530€ and goes all the way up to 720€. Meanwhile, a used Rtx 3070 sells for 270-320 euros, and the RX 6700 XT is slightly cheaper than in stores and costs from 320 to 350 euros. In that situation, it's not worth buying used AMD at all. It's similar in the higher class - a used 3080 costs as much as a used 6800 non-xt, both are sold for around 400-450€.
I'd highly recommend getting the 6800 over the 6700xt, for about $50-100 more you're getting 50% more cores, much higher clock speed and probably most importantly you're getting 16GB of VRAM which is going to enable much smoother 4k gaming... not to mention the OC capability.
Having bought a RX 6700 XT half a year ago (used) and seeing it recommended everywhere still including in reviews for the latest generation cards I can say I have 0 regrets.

Glad I caught this video. Yesterday I received two 1080 TIs from the same vendor on eBay for a total of $355. Do you recommend I go for RX or Nvidia when it comes to gaming and streaming at 2k? I was thinking about getting 4070 for my Intel i5-13600k, I’m not super into Raytracing and dlss, but I heard Nvidia is good for streaming than RX.
Same conclusion if not worse because there aren't many of them on the used marketplace, so their prices are probably not good. A used 6700 XT would be the better buy for the same price if I had to assume.
@@ScatterVolt yeah probably you are right (i am running a 2060 6g but i was wondering if is a difference between them) I currently have this gpu and an ryzen 7 3700x and play in 1440p but i have a big bottleneck what is your recommendation for a small or 0 bottelneck (on sh market) (I have a b550 motherboard so I can run both pcie 3.0 and 4.0)
I would probably switch the 5700 and 5700 XT. Just because its more intimidating to flash a bios if you are just starting to build a pc or on a budget. There is always a risk of failure whether you are careful or not. Even if it is fixable, momentary panic of you thinking you just ruined your graphics card brings it down a rank in my book. And with just a couple dollars more for the XT variant, you dont have to worry about the hassle of flashing a bios and you still get better performance that an XT flashed 5700.
Nice work on the comparative Listing of used graphics cards! Question, I have an MSI Gaming Z Trio AMD Radeon RX 6800, would it be possible to flash the bios to the RX 6800XT? This card is way overbuilt in cooling capabilities. It has 3 8pin 12 volt connectors. I value your advice and you have been talking about flashing the video card bios to achieve next level performance on a lower lever GPU.
Thank you for this. I'm trying to figure out if I can afford to upgrade from my 1650 Super, which is actually not bad for the games I currently play, but I've been wanting to maybe pick up a newer game or two, and I know that the 4 gigs of VRAM will make that experience an unenjoyable one at best (if it even runs). Now, if I stick to older games, then I can make due for another year or so, but even finding a fairly cheap upgrade to an 8 gig card would at least allow me to run newer games on a combo of high and medium settings (I game at 1080) and would likely mean I'd get a few more years before most games I play would degrade in experience to the point I no longer enjoy them.
I just upgrade from GT 710 2gb to GTX 1050ti 4gb and now RX 5700XT 8gb. My uncle help me tear the GPU's body and cleaning the board alongside dusty fans with repasting it.
That was the one concern I had when I bought my new 6700XT: I wont get rid of it for much if I happen to sell it someday. The deal was just too good in the first place :)
I'm Brazilian, and I'm happy to see that someone shares my opinion. My configuration rx6700xt red devil + ryzen 7 5700x3D. I think it's SS+ tier for 1080p. I paid almost the price of an R5 5600x for my processor, and I got a semi-new 6700XT for almost half the price of the 3070.
As a guy that bought a used RX 6600 that is a very good upper low/low mid range card and after recently buying an RX 6650 XT at a good discount, I have to say that RX 6650 XT is a nice jump in performance. I do understand your lower grade based on the asking price for a used one but the RX 6650 XT is a great running card that ramps up quickly, handles some heavy graphics with no real perceivable drop in speed.
3090 has 24gb of vram which the 4070Ti doesn't have. For gamers it probably makes more sense to get the newer cards because of efficiency, but if you're someone who needs alot of vram and cant afford to use an AMD card because of the lack of cuda the 3090 is actually a very solid choice. D-Tier for the 3090 seems a bit harsh for me considering its features.
Wish the UK eBay had the used RX 6600/XT prices like the US. Might as well buy new with how little you save. Great video, now on the lookout for RX 5600XT 6GB/ 5500XT 8GB below £120.
That’s an abnormally good price for a used 2080Ti so that’d have to be ranked in SS tier by this video’s standards. They’re usually selling for ~$350 used.
I have an old pc that used to have a 1080 gtx, I took that 1080 gtx and put it into a new PC that I built for flipping (everything was new, except the gpu) I sold it for good $600 afte4 building it for 400 so I made $200 bucks. However, now this original pc that used to have a 1080 doesn't have a GPU but I need to get rid of it because I will never use the pc. What used GPU u recommend to get off ebay? 5700xt? I am looking to spend between 80 to 120 that's including shipping.
I am using the 580 4 gb, bought it new for 150$. Maybe in the next 2-3 years it will bottleneck due to low memory, but until then it goes like a tank. There was 1 year ago a comparison 4 vs 8 and differences were minimal from what i remember.
I’ve been wondering whether I should always go for the latest gpu version or not. People have said that the latest ruin their performance and some outdated versions are better. I have a Gtx 1660 super, do you have any thoughts or suggestions about which version is the best?
thanks mate, your video and summary are helping me much in understanding the ranking performance and worthy value in term to buy a used graphic card to upgrade my aging pc desktop. just some information rx580 8gb used selling in malaysia e shop from around 50-60usd plus depend on brand.

I'm building a PC for my younger cousin who's 10. I'm strongly considering the 6700xt or the 3060ti. All he has right now is a 1080p monitor, but he might upgrade to 1440p after he earns some more money. The only thing scaring me from AMD gpus is all the craze about it's software experience. He has no experience debugging, and I probably won't be around to help him with any issues he's facing because of college. Overall what would you recommend I get? I know you mentioned the driver experience between AMD and Nvidia is basically the same, but are there any other things I should consider?
I’ve found a 2060 Ventus 12GB for $150, currently have a 1060 3GB so anything is an upgrade, but would that be worth it or should I keep searching for something better? I know the 12GB rerun is basically still the same as the 8GB 2060s, but not sure if that’s still a steal or not.
I’d try it. A 5700XT would be faster than even a 2060 Super but it does come with less vram for about $20 less. If you can haggle it down to $140 then I’d snatch it up.
@@ScatterVolt hey I understand if your not up for it but I've never used Ali express before so I don't want to get scammed can you recommend the sellers that you used?
Hi, great video. The Rx4600 and GTX1650 can be good for some people who are looking to game in their Dell and old HP PCs, but these PCs don't have the extra PCIE power to connect a more powerful GPU. Great choices if you're looking to game on the family HTPC or something. These used parts have the potential to become gaming-capable in just under a hundred dollars. Might be worth considering the fact that people with Old and used PCs will likely get used GPUs with these power limitations. Just thought it was worth mentioning. If it were up to me, both of these cards would be at the top of D.
A friend recently gave me an asus tuf 3060 ti that was used for mining for 12 months. Is it worth building around it? If so which GPU would you recommend? Please and thank you
Should i get the rx 580 in 2024? Im on a budget and ive see the benchmarks of the 580, it's basically a 5700xt but half performance for half the price but I wanna know if its still a solid gpu to use for future proofing
I manage to buy a 2080ti (gigabyte aurous)for 210$ and imo I think it probably the best price I could’ve gotten, better than the 3070(bc of vram) and competing against the 6700xt (for performance)
Good video, I mostly agree. I think you should also make a video about top tier cards to help people avoid some common mistakes and misconceptions, even though your videos are mostly about cheaper hardware
I have a question, a lot of people seem to ignore the 2060-12GB cards… Where would you put the RTX 2060-12GB version? I’m interested in it since I’m still using a 2060-12GB from ASUS Greeting from Germany 👌🏻 Edit: Had some Typos
@@ScatterVolt oh okay that makes sense then, thought there for a second that the 12GB 2060’s are like never to be spoken about or anything (never rly seen anyone talking about them that much)
@justSvenjaXYZ if I recall from reviews, it's hard to find a scenario that uses more than 6GB VRAM that the 2060 isn't already limited for raw graphics processing (rasterization) power. So, yeah it has 12GB VRAM, but you can't really get more FPS (which is the whole point), the GPU can't keep up with games that have settings that call for more than 6GB VRAM. I think maybe you could max out texture quality while lowering a lot of other settings... In certain games? Maybe? I dunno. Reviewers struggled to find a reason justifying its existence. I highly encourage checking reviews of the 2060 12GB before spending any more than you would for a regular 6GB 2060. Its price should be basically the same as the regular 2060, IMO. Any benefits would be super niche, hard to overstate that IMO.
@@MrSmitheroons that’s actually good point and argument, the only instance I managed to even get past 8GB usage on that card was when I played VR Chat since VRC caches the Avatars on VRAM and then RAM… I never rly benefited from it and the only reason I rly got it was that I found it for cheaper as a normal 2060…

I’m glad that I’ve stuck with this Chanel since the beginning, great video!
Beginning? Like 2013?
@@ScatterVolt I would say early 2014, I watched you and Austin Evan’s for over a year until I built my pc is 2015.
This is exactly the video I’ve been looking for 👍
You’re welcome!
I’m making my first pc would a ryzen 5 5600x work good with a rx 6700 and would it bottleneck?
Mid-range gaming PCs don’t bottleneck
Oh ok thanks
got a 2060 super for $175 thinking it was a regular 2060 until i double checked..eBay is crazy
The 2060 Super goes hard.
It's basically a 0-5% slower 2070, really good performance for the price! 👍🏻
zamn that ebay dude kinda fumbled

your scoreboard in GPU value is in my favor ;p. upgraded from a gtx970 to a 5700xt (have 2 systems running) and now again from a gtx1070 to RTX3070 i'm happy both systems run good. only was afraid for the vram limit 8gb but run at 2560x1080 so hope i won't cut myself in the fingers with that.. 🤔 _+subscribed to you channel_
Both of my young nephews got a pc built by me, one has the RX 6600 XT and the other has a RTX 2070 Super, both play 1080p.

Do you recommend I go for RX or Nvidia when it comes to gaming and streaming at 2k?
I was thinking about getting 4070 for my Intel i5-13600k, I’m not super into Raytracing and dlss, but I heard Nvidia is good for streaming than RX.
Both RX 7000 and RTX 4000 come with AV1 if you want to look into that for streaming

I got an used 6700xt for $150 half year ago, and the price is increased a lot.
12:57 how about the 2060 12gb version?
Same conclusion if not worse because there aren't many of them on the used marketplace, so their prices are probably not good. A used 6700 XT would be the better buy for the same price if I had to assume.
@@ScatterVolt yeah probably you are right (i am running a 2060 6g but i was wondering if is a difference between them) I currently have this gpu and an ryzen 7 3700x and play in 1440p but i have a big bottleneck what is your recommendation for a small or 0 bottelneck (on sh market) (I have a b550 motherboard so I can run both pcie 3.0 and 4.0)
Do not buy the same graphics card with more vram expecting more performance.
I don’t know. Google/Reddit knows more than I do on that.
THANKS FOR YOU CONSIDERATION AND RAPID ANSWER! I HAVE READ THAT AMD HAS INTENTIONALLY BLOCKED UPDATING THE BIOS TO A HIGHER LEVEL CARD.
5700/5700XT is your answer mate
Definitely go with a 5700 and flash it to a 5700xt bios and your golden for quite awhile longer
Video was great but should I buy a rtx 3090 if it's selling for $450-$500
PLEASE REPLY 😊
Good deal
I just upgrade from GT 710 2gb to GTX 1050ti 4gb and now RX 5700XT 8gb. My uncle help me tear the GPU's body and cleaning the board alongside dusty fans with repasting it.
Will rtx 3070 ti be good for 1080p and 1440p just wondering
Essentially overkill for 1080p but pretty good for 1440p so u have options!
That was the one concern I had when I bought my new 6700XT: I wont get rid of it for much if I happen to sell it someday. The deal was just too good in the first place :)
What an inconvenience to have haha
I'm Brazilian, and I'm happy to see that someone shares my opinion.
My configuration rx6700xt red devil + ryzen 7 5700x3D. I think it's SS+ tier for 1080p.
I paid almost the price of an R5 5600x for my processor, and I got a semi-new 6700XT for almost half the price of the 3070.
As a guy that bought a used RX 6600 that is a very good upper low/low mid range card and after recently buying an RX 6650 XT at a good discount, I have to say that RX 6650 XT is a nice jump in performance. I do understand your lower grade based on the asking price for a used one but the RX 6650 XT is a great running card that ramps up quickly, handles some heavy graphics with no real perceivable drop in speed.
am thinking about buying a used RX 6650 XT for 250$ cad (180$ USD) is a good deal, or should I just buy it brand new?
3090 has 24gb of vram which the 4070Ti doesn't have. For gamers it probably makes more sense to get the newer cards because of efficiency, but if you're someone who needs alot of vram and cant afford to use an AMD card because of the lack of cuda the 3090 is actually a very solid choice. D-Tier for the 3090 seems a bit harsh for me considering its features.
I’m with you on that. I got a used 3090 about a year ago for 4k gaming. It’s a waaaay better choice than a 4070 Ti.
Wish the UK eBay had the used RX 6600/XT prices like the US. Might as well buy new with how little you save. Great video, now on the lookout for RX 5600XT 6GB/ 5500XT 8GB below £120.
Fantastic! Looking forward to the 2024 list.
I got a Rx 470 for $50. Was it worth it??
If it was the 8gb model then absolutely
Is 3060 ti good card for 1440p gaming? my budjet is about 1100€
No its bad for 1440p
Where would you put the 2080 TI if it was $250?
That’s an abnormally good price for a used 2080Ti so that’d have to be ranked in SS tier by this video’s standards. They’re usually selling for ~$350 used.
Got a Sapphire nitro 5700XT for $90 from a local seller. Incredible card!
Insane deal!

@ScatterVolt I did watch it lol and then I made the comment lol.
Next month for a few more reps you will be ranking the best exercises for shoulders and back. Damn!
Haha. I wish but I think that content genre is absolutely saturated already lol.
I replaced my old rx 580 with a new 7900 XTX (bit overkill), price/performance wise the rx 580 is still somewhat fine for 1080p. Decent list, subbed.
Bit overkill haha. That’s an extreme upgrade!

I'm happy my Rx 6600 move to the S ranking :D
I am using the 580 4 gb, bought it new for 150$.
Maybe in the next 2-3 years it will bottleneck due to low memory, but until then it goes like a tank.
There was 1 year ago a comparison 4 vs 8 and differences were minimal from what i remember.
just picked up a 6700xt used for $245, can't wait for it to come in
I am thinking about buying a used RX 6650 XT for 250$ cad (180$ USD) is a good deal, or should I just buy it brand new?
I’ve been wondering whether I should always go for the latest gpu version or not. People have said that the latest ruin their performance and some outdated versions are better. I have a Gtx 1660 super, do you have any thoughts or suggestions about which version is the best?
thanks mate, your video and summary are helping me much in understanding the ranking performance and worthy value in term to buy a used graphic card to upgrade my aging pc desktop. just some information rx580 8gb used selling in malaysia e shop from around 50-60usd plus depend on brand.

So Goated for this, I want to start content creation but of course have a budget so thank you! Will look at either the 6700xt or 6800xt
Both of those are great!
Just bought a Rx 6600 Eagle three days ago. Came from Rx560D (YES! that GPU exists here in Asia). And WOW! Playing 1080p on Ultra/High settings with 60fps+ guarantee was life changing. Got it new for 230$. Totally worth it, although there was one shop that is selling it for 18$ less.

We stan buying used graphics cards, the value is just too good. Nice list!
Absolutely

Can u do one video on budget motherboards too.
It would be pretty helpful for pc builders.
It would be helpful, but it'd absolutely bomb in the algorithm unfortunately.
@@ScatterVolt no worriers bro, u are already doing great by making these build up videos

Whoever is telling you to be afraid about AMD drivers/software are mouth breathers
@@ScatterVolt LOL. Yeah I just ordered the 6700xt. Honestly it seems like an amazing GPU. Your vid is probably the biggest reason I got it
I’ve found a 2060 Ventus 12GB for $150, currently have a 1060 3GB so anything is an upgrade, but would that be worth it or should I keep searching for something better? I know the 12GB rerun is basically still the same as the 8GB 2060s, but not sure if that’s still a steal or not.
I’d try it. A 5700XT would be faster than even a 2060 Super but it does come with less vram for about $20 less. If you can haggle it down to $140 then I’d snatch it up.
Hey you forgot to put the RX 6750XT on the video however what do you think about this graphic card ?
This is for used gpus, so bundle the 6750XT recommendation with the 6700XT
You are probably my favourite content creator who covers pc stuff. Absolutely love your videos. Keep up the good work man.
Is rtx4070 and ryzen 7 7700x a good combo?

@itztommy1609 same, dude. This was my first gaming pc too. The GT 750 in a Dell optiplex

Should i get the rx 580 in 2024? Im on a budget and ive see the benchmarks of the 580, it's basically a 5700xt but half performance for half the price but I wanna know if its still a solid gpu to use for future proofing
i wanna know as well lol
I currently have a R5 2600x and a gtx 1650 I want to upgrade for competitive 1080p gaming with a budget of $150-200 any recommendations?
RX 5700xt or RX 6600, my suggest is 5700 xt. u Will see big difference between 1650 vs RX 5700xt.
glad i ordered a 6700xt a few days ago :)
It’s a great all-around gaming graphics card!
Like cheap vs expensive GPUs? Is it worth saving now or spending more upfront?
That sort of deal?
@@ScatterVolt yeah I would personally like a video where you compare buying a 4090 for the long term or getting a 4070 and upgrading next generation.

I don’t see them much on the used market so it didn’t really get a place in this video
@@MrSmitheroons that’s actually good point and argument, the only instance I managed to even get past 8GB usage on that card was when I played VR Chat since VRC caches the Avatars on VRAM and then RAM…
I never rly benefited from it and the only reason I rly got it was that I found it for cheaper as a normal 2060…
I have a ryzen 7700X paired with a rx 7900 xtx am I good for 1080p insanely high fps gaming?

Honestly, the rx480 shouls have made an entry here, it was the direct competitor of the 1070 and for half the price.
i'm not biased (I am) but the 1080 ti is SSS tier (I definitely don't have them in SLI).
