  • Hello and welcome to another episode of "My personal TOP games"
The games featured in this episode are my personal top 15 Commodore 64 games released in 1983, ranked from 15th to 1st. Thus, this list represents not a 'general top games' list, but my own personal favorites, meaning these are games I played and enjoyed as a kid (back in the 80s) and/or continue to play today. This approach differs from the 'Top 50 games' lists, where I feature games that I believe are 'generally' the best for a particular year/computer, and those lists are also not ranked.

Love your list! The ones I miss are Archon and one of the Jumpman games (probably Jr). Also have a soft spot got Hover Bovver! 😊

      Thanks!
I know Archon is very high on most retro gamers lists, but I never really got into the game and didn't like it all that much.

@@retrononame Same. I felt I ought to but wizard action chess just didn't interest me.

Beach Head was my favorite. One of the few I actually bought! Nice choices for 1983!

Thanks! And yes, I played Beach Head lots when I was a kid and still play it today. Great little game with great atmosphere.
      Thanks for watching!

I love Blue Max. Probably the first C64 game I ever played together with BC's Quest for Tires. And boy did Atarisoft nail it with their conversions. They are all so brilliant. Have you tried their Mario Bros conversion? Also brilliant. What about Jumpman however? Did you ever play that? I think it was superior to Miner 2049.

funny how the graphics are so close to atari in these years although c64 had much more in it. Yes, then the devs found out tricks to make much more appealing games later

I'm glad the video brought back nice memories (that's the point in these videos anyway) and thanks for watching!

I mostly liked Buck Rogers when I first got it, but quickly became bored with it. I'd sen screenshots of the Coleco version of the game and was disappointed that the C64 version didn't have the big towers and the trench segment.
