Thanks man! In the main part I use a lot of suspended chords mixed with major ones. With suspended chords, you move one of the notes to create tension and it almost "wants" to resolve itself. For the break fill, it's a descending line that I thought worked really nicely. When I'm writing, it's all with a midi keyboard to get those chords down as opposed to manually drawing it.
I think bubblegum is coming back, so keep it up! Part of the reason I got into Happy Hardcore so much recently is because I'm bored to death of tracks trying to just be the "hardest" and "edgiest" sounding shit possible, almost at the expense of quality. Like gun basses. Fuck gun basses. All you do is rhythmically hit an obnoxious bass patch.
Thanks! Yeah I'm mainly into melodic edm, probably because I grew up playing classical piano. A lot of tracks these days are more focused on harder and fatter drops, relying on sound design more than melodies and chords.
nah bro casually just becomes the best ftc team to ever exist and then decides to become a banger edm artist and THEN just goes and makes a completely autonomous battlebot like ❓How
I think happy hardcore is criminally underrated. Yeah, it's kind of cheesy and bubblegum, but what other genre was that unapologetic when it came to sounding cheesy, bright, and happy? Plus, over time I just got bored of how everything was trying to be "harder" and "edgier" almost at the expense of quality. That's where HHC shines.
Y'all should subscribe!

It will break the link but you should think about adding a custom URL for soundcloud so it's easier to market.
Oh! I didn't know you could do that, I'll look into it!
Why does that "wrapping" chord progression thingy feel so satisfying omg ?? (real question)
