You really should change that socket, while you know it's not mains input, one day somebody else might get hold and quite justifiably assume it is. Kaboom.

Your projects as well as the explanation is much more amazing..
Your brushless motor projects are more impressive....
    Sorry for my bad English.....
    Thank you sir....

Charging the cells using cccv is just fine but what about deep discharge? Discharging the batteries to LED 2.8 VOLTS will reduce battery life and not so good.
So I think in another episode u may produce an 3.3 volts autocut circuit to cut the power when the battery voltage reaches to 3.3 volts and *u r my very first online teacher 🙏 🤓 so u know what to do next*
Anyway always love u from India .😊

i was also thinking those cheap lithium batteries might be useful if we stack a lot of them.
I also think you should not use the AC socket for charging connector.
And although the LED would fade at 2.8v but still it would be better if you use some protection circuit.
And put a FUSE please 🥺

Isn’t it very dangerous to socket in AC live there by mistake? Please make a video with the title „what happens when you charge li-ion with life AC voltage“

Excellent and useful project. As this is an emergency light, you might want to use a red lens. Red lenses do not cause your eyes to constrict, thereby given you "night blindness." Military vehicles use red lenses for night operations. It is called "running red." You have seen it in movies, in submarines and aircraft. Give it a google, to learn more about the effect.

Could you produce a video on how to make a light like this one but with the equivalent lumens of a 15 Watt incandescent, lightbulb, and 160 hours before a recharge.
I live high in the mountains with no electricity, and deep snow. I can’t get out too easily and a light with that capacity would be a lifesaver.

If you'll go to "BudgetLightForum" you'll find lots of people willing to help with the technical side of things to let you make exactly what you want. Please heed their advice on LiIon safety if you use that power source.

do you need to protect against over discharge? like 3.2V min?

    • @ludicscience
      @ludicscience  2 года назад +3

Well the batteries can safely discharge to 2.5 volts however the LED will fade at around 2.8 volts

Change the socket without hesitation, add a suitable charger.. Cambia el socket sin dudar, agrega un cargador adecuado.
