Lesson 33 | What does it really mean to earn?
- Work for money by exchanging YOUR time and EFFORT
- If you do this, you will learn to become free and independent
- Things are worth more to us when we work for them
Episode #34 - Very emotional story! If you earn money for yourself then you get that feeling and excitement that you really worked for it.
It's never too early to give the message about earning your money. Nice story
That's an awesome story, the things you earn will always have way more value than something you were given.
What a great story to remember!
What a great story. Really amazing. The best part other the story is that the LESSON stuck with you.
What a storyteller! I get emotional watching this and knowing how far Patrick has come since this video was posted in 2013. He’s definitely earned his success!! And, while he may not be president, I believe he is the closest thing we have to a 21st century Lincoln.
That's a powerful story. I always feel something eating away inside me when I see or hear of my friends who get money from their parents. My grandmother always says to save 50% of my income but my dad has said many times that when you earn your own income you respect that money and what you do with it even more
His story got me a little emotional honestly. I'm ready to go get after it after listening!
10/22/2018 this is a great story, Pat. You actually understand how precious the money you earn when you start earning it. In the future, I will tell this story to my kid or do something similar to my kids. Thank you Patrick.
Thanks for this Pat. This is a very big problem, especially for the privileged few who are born into enormous wealth. They become completely detached from the value of a dollar, and what it means to earn the luxuries they get to enjoy daily.
BTW I've been following you for years now, so it's good to go back and look at the old videos you posted and the evolution of your channel - your success is well deserved!
This is the first video I’ve ever seen with 3.8k views and 0 dislikes. That’s a giant leap for humanity!
Wow, I love that fable. My dad would always say "You respect money more when you work for it" and this helps clarify what he meant
+clark bolding you have a wise father.
Deep stuff there pat
I feel we're often entitle to have money but it's not the case, we need to work hard for it
Thank you for message Patrick
Great fable! going to share with my baby. Thanks for sharing
👍👊 I can't believe it's already been 2 years.
Lesson: When you are given something, you may have less pride in it. When you work for something, you own it. Like Pat says in further videos, ownership makes us happy. When we are given something, we don't have the sense that we worked for it. Always strive to earn the things that you have in life. Don't ride off your family's money. Make your own.
Here is a laugh my allowance from my father was $0.25 per month through high school along with this quote "money does not grow on trees!"
GREAT ONE PAT
Great story.
studylog: 1/1/18 1346 Earning requires actually earning it. The world does not give you what you want... it gives you what you deserve.
When I asked my father for a N64 game console when I was 10 years old, he said: that costs allot of money. Not only will this count for your christmas and birthday but you willl have to earn it. In his working van, a drawer had fallen open, and thousands of srews, bolts, nails,;... where mixed, He made me sort them, and when I was done, I got the N64. I still feel proud about the fact that I earned my gaming console.
Waal.....great video!
I love it
When you truly earn money you'll value that money.

wow! amazing!
When you earn money yourself they have bigger value for you!
Your eldest son 😍
Watching every video- money actually has little value without the background of hard graft behind it. If you didn't exchange products (arts of work) or service (literal work) for money then money would just be a piece of metal or paper and not something that holds a certain value.
The money has more value when you earn it yourself.
