Our Scripture Memory System

Scripture memory is a staple in our homeschool and family discipleship. Hiding God's Word in our hearts and in the hearts of our children is such a valuable and important activity, but it can take some time to make it a consistent habit.
Today I'm sharing some tips on how we do Scripture memory, a peek inside our system, and links to helpful printables and resources. I hope it's a blessing to you!
(If you watch this and think "she looks tired" it's because I was! Lol! This is what midnight Tauna looks and sounds like. 🥱 😆 I was waiting up for my husband and oldest son to get home from an activity and decided to take out and rotate our verse cards, which is what reminded me to record this video. Busy mamas do what we can, when we can, right? Done is better than perfect, as I always say. 😉)
Basic process:
Read the verses aloud
Decide on hand motions for memory aids
Repeat after you phrase by phrase
Transition to line by line
Transition to verse by verse
Recite it altogether
Have kids recite it on their own
Put the card into a review tab and start on the next one

The jars have prayer requests my kids and I come up with and we do one a day, moving them from one jar to the other as we go
