- Late summer and early fall are the best time to be a kayak fisherman on Cape Cod. Beach launching rules are relaxed, tourists are gone, and the albies are in!
In this episode, Kevin Blinkoff travels between launch sites to track down albie blitzes in Buzzards Bay while working with a network of kayak anglers to zero in on the false albacore.

2023 albies in eastern long Island sound were awesome. Days on end they were in the same exact areas. Hope to experience similar in years to come.
Are albies booming in September in Eastern Long Island like Cape cod ?
@juancho1871 I just checked my videos on my phone of all the albies, the earliest was September 26th. I may have caught a few just before that. That was in Niantic bay, CT
@@mickmouse92 amazing. I've been binging on these Albie videos. I hope to catch one or at least see some action of these marvelous fish this season!
Love the intro 👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks for watching and commenting @irod7
Nice fishing man! We've been killing them by the canal. Are you guys pulling any actual albies or just false ones.
Albies are not bad on the grill if you like small blues and macks on the grill you will like Albies OK. Italian dressing and a super hot grill is the rick, just like bluefish and macks.
I made some pan-seared albie with a teriyaki glaze over rice and some veggies last year. It was delicious.

👏👏👏
can you recommend some spots we could launch a kayak from, if we want to try targeting Albies?
They move around a lot. Hoping to start seeing them near Bass River where I live. Waquiot is usually good too
