I was gunna say... This plane has some golden ratio lines or something... It's like a vintage Austin Martin, or any old muscle car, ya can't not like it.... I remember as a kid I was obsessed with the mig variant only because I had one as a toy gift that shot plastic missle darts... Then I grew up and found a better looking one... It really is perfect.
Thanks for the feedback Stewjw. For a display like this we like to include as much of the routine as possible in our 'interactive in-cockpit' special features on DVD and Blu-ray. They allow you to switch between ground and in-cockpit views throughout the whole display using your angle button. In short - no cuts and you choose the view.
No, the Hunter, Gnat and Sea Hawk are all better looking jets, doesn't make them better performers though. The F86 did exactly what it said on the box and saved the USAF some serious embarrassment.
I could watch the cockpit camera video from take off to landing. Perfect lighting conditions for the GoPro. That is one lucky pilot to be flying a vintage Sabre.
Excuse me as I wax nostalgic: as an elementary school kid I had the North American F-86 and the MiG 15 locked in an eternal dogfight suspended from my bedroom ceiling. Revell kits both I believe, with the Sabre in silver with a black nose and Air Force markings, and the cursed MiG in commie red. (We're talking early 70s here.) I had the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom at the sacred spot on top of my chest of drawers, but the F-86 held the lead in my adolescent imagination as my favorite dogfighter. It looked fast. Even next to the MiG 15 it looked fast. Those two jets seemed to me to be the best example of a fair fight. Disclaimer: No, my model of the F-4 Phantom II did NOT leak oil all over my chest of drawers, despite the many times I've heard that joke.
Does the DVD have fewer edits in the cockpit than shown here. Also I noticed in your recent Russian AirForce 100 DVD the picture was a little grainy. I don't think its my PC hardware which I view on a 1920 x 1080 HD monitor. Good video and narration by the way, especially the Su-35 display.
Can you make available the videos in HD H264 on a normal DVD or Double Layer? Because if i buy a DV DVD, the videos has a lot of interlacing, and i don't have a blue-ray unit. Thanks !
To me the F-86 is the epitome of a jet. The lines are pure and simple.
And the F-80
My grandfather was a wing commander on this beauty

I think it's design was based on the p51 Mustang, obviously heavily modified to fit a jet engine.
@@Gaizhun not at all. It more closely resembles germam concept designs from the end of ww2
Best music heard all day!!!
my favorite jet of all... awesome video!

This is the most beautiful aircraft ever created, period. I think it's what the original German concept aircraft was intended to become.
Sabre look quite similar to German Ta-183 prototype
@@hartmannf4169 If I remember correctly, the F-86 and Mig-15 were both based on its plans.
Second most beautiful imo , the ME262 was the most beautiful jet ever !!!

Agreed 👍
Its a great watch! The full display will be included on the DVD/Blu-ray along with any other on board recordings we make at the other IWM Airshows.
love this jet, my favorite jet of all time
Beautiful

Fantastic...
So cool. The only F86A left flying in the world. Such a smooth bird.
The best F-86 demo was Bob Hoovers he was amazing in the F-86 what he could do with it he did his roll on take off gear up

MM ALAM Complete the Perfect Pair
Wow, awesome
My favorite plane, period.. The last real dog fighter.. What a dream for those who actually get to fly one..
I have a 458 win barrel with a recoil lug and a 7mm Rem Mag with no recoil lug and it’s a brand new barrel😮

Do you do birthday parties?
Even standing still, with its air intake resembling a screaming and threatening mouth, it says, "BRING IT ON!"😁😁😁😁😁
And what I want for Christmas is....
