One of three songs I tried not to write since the last full moon. True story: I had "painting" on my list, but night came and I hadn't painted. So I painted oranges by candlelight. That's it! Midnight Oranges Midnight oranges, Hot summer air The same hues and tones hang still everywhere The rest of the warm days Ripe to pursue yet mired in mirage and blurred beyond view Left it too late to paint So I took candlelight, raw umber, raw red, and the heat of midnight ------- I hope everyone is having a beautiful summer.
