The Hammering Process is one of the best albums ever recorded and released. It’s a perfect album all the way through. Since it’s release, it’s never been off my radar. I tell people about this album all of the time. It’s perfect. All

Same! So far ahead of their time, like Candiria they really set the stage for this style of riffing, breakdowns, etc. Creamed my shorts when they were on tour with Demon Hunter last year!

The ONLY exception is Bloodwork where it sounds like he hasn't gotten the growl ready to go just yet. It's a little weak/off time in the first song. But sweet lord is EVERY other song amazing. I've listened to this album while driving over 100 times.

Love this band, one of the most brutal grindcore bands, and it's Christian! I have all their albums and their lyrics are consistently wholesome.
+Phillip Unrau No he doesn't, either he's actually knowledgeable about it or by happenstance he does give the universal symbol for "I Love You", which is the thumb, first finger and pinky up the middle and ring fingers down. You are mistaking that for the Satanic salute, which is the first finger and pinky up, the middle and ring fingers down with the thumb in across the curled fingers to make the mouth of the goat's skull. I know every word to this bands songs, and yes they are definitely Christian. Incidentally, the Satanic salute properly given is always with the left hand, I see that he gave the I Love You sign with his right. Not that 90% of metal heads Christian or otherwise actually know the origin of that salute. I see Christians all the time give that salute when they listen to metal, ignorant of it's meaning. I just let it go, their not truly guilty of something their ignorant of, the sign really just means heavy metal now-a-days.

Thanks for lightening up on this a bit. Seriously "the Satan sign" just means "this rocks" and pretty much everyone knows this. Check out video's of Ronnie James Dio discussing this since he is the one who arguably came up with it in the first place. I've been around a pretty long time and thank God most christians have come around to not being so crazy about this sort of thing, different types of music, styles, etc. I remember when it was not so. Keep rocken friend. \m/

I saw them in San Antonio, TX in 1999 when this album/tour was their most recent release. It ripped my face off and it was so amazing. Listening to this album to this day... yea... it is for sure a milestone in Christian music.

This sound quality is insane. This band is in my Big Four with Sepultura, Kreator, and Megadeth.

My band played with these guys back in 93 or 94....in Muskegon, MI. Shortly after or before, can't remember) we played with Tourniquet too....awesome times in my life.

Death metal? lol. was on a road trip recently and had to stop for my wife to hit the bathroom. Dogs got anxious in her absence. So I put on some LS. She came back and was like, "what IS this?" I said I was soothing them with some music. She says, "with Death Metal!?" I said, "no, this is Jesus Metal!" So she says, "oh, so it's Life Metal?" Yes, dear, Life Metal. That's exactly right - Life Metal!! She's gonna use that in her podcast, lol.
